I really appreciated the kindness of the owners, with clear communication. The room was beautiful, and I had everything I needed. When I had a question about the fireplace and the bathtub, Jamie was quick to answer and help. I'd love to stay here again!

We had our boutique micro wedding at Inn By the Bandstand and it couldn't have been more perfect! The setting is the epitome of old New England elegance with immaculate upkeep and beautiful attention to detail: fresh flowers adorn the inn and guestrooms (arranged onsite), and each room features breath-taking interior design with gorgeous oil paintings and antiques, as well as all the modern amenities you could ever need, and the outside patio has a perfectly cultivated garden (where we took many photos). We also catered the wedding reception at the onsite restaurant Ambrose. The food was absolutely spectacular in both taste and presentation thanks to the amazing Chef Stanley! And of course, the kind and wonderful Inn Owner, Jaime, was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond at every trun (and is just a joy to be around as well!). Everyone who works here is kind and professional, and you couldn't ask for a more beautifully cultivated historic Inn. We plan to return for anniversaries!

I've stayed at B&Bs and Inns all over the country. This is hands-down my all-time favorite! The owners/chef/staff are so genuinely caring and want nothing more than to provide comfort and luxury. The Inn itself is a masterpiece of modern luxury blended with the aesthetic of the architecture and era it was built. And they even have a Nespresso machine in the butler's pantry for guest enjoyment! We have one at home. Best coffee on the planet! I stayed to do my husband's company accounting in peace and quiet. I'll come back as often as possible.

From the minute we walked in the door, we experienced superior hospitality from Jaime and his team at this inn. It’s in a great location in Exeter, within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, bookstores, etc. Everything was sparkling clean, the bed was comfortable, and the fireplace in our room added ambiance. Breakfast was delicious and Jaime even brought us cocktails on the house to celebrate our anniversary. When I left an item behind, Jaime mailed it back to me within a few days. We had a fabulous weekend and will be returning to this inn!

My significant other and I stayed in the Phillips Suite for 3 nights while in the area for a family wedding. I can't say enough about this beautiful and well appointed Inn. Everything was flawless, which I attributed to Jaime's attention to detail while providing an unmatched customer experience. The room was tremendous, spotless, bed was comfortable and room provided many extras. I can't recommend the restaurant enough, especially the breakfast. Don't forget the mimosas - you won't be disappointed. Book now!

This brief overnight stay was absolutely unforgettable. It was like a dream in which every corner you look opens up into evermore detail. The Inn fits somewhere between living history and boutique sleepover in your coolest collector friend's house. Just walking to your room, it is so easy to forget what century you're in, and imagine yourself crossing paths with a Victorian era hotel guest. Robin received us with warmth and a palpable, loving attention to detail. Jaime greeted us in the evening with a finger on the pulse of dining in downtown Exeter. As gluten-free vegans with a long list of don'ts, we were truly in Jaime's debt for making us feel at home both at the Inn and around the idyllic downtown. We will be back very soon, and will be getting gift certificates for friends and family to experience the Inn's ability to carry you back to the 1800's and make time stand still.

We LOVED our stay here. Super easy access to food, services, great access to the beaches even with a short drive. The place is meticulously manicured. The rooms are crazy-well-appointed and the team working there is ready to help at a moments notice. Plush towels, comfortable bed, quiet, gorgeous outside and in. This is an accurate look at this period, wood floors, furniture, etc. They have several rooms available (we estimate 6-9?)so make sure you reserve early.

Highly recommended for a very unique and fun place to stay.

Phenomenal property restored to top notch quality. Rooms expansive and comfortable. Ambrose restaurant has been the very best food my wife and I have had in a long long time. Fresh, tasty, and second to none presentation. The staff is polite, knowledgeable, respectful…and refined. A key find in Exeter!

We were lucky enough to stay here for a night recently. The place is gorgeous. Rooms are spotless. The bed was wicked comfortable. The host was really friendly. We didn't have a chance to stop for breakfast but it smelled delicious. Its def a great alternative to the cookie cutter corporate hotels.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Inn by the Bandstand with our two young children. I only have positive things to say about our stay, the inn, and the innkeepers; it was a great experience. Our room was very comfortable, was well appointed with luxury bedding, decorated with class and character, and had anything we could ask for. Breakfast was amazing. Above all, the innkeepers are kind and generous, and we enjoyed their company.

I reserved this inn for my employers and they raved about it! They travel extensively and stay in wonderful hotels. They loved the accommodations and said the breakfast was delicious! They stay in nearby Hampton often and could not believe they had never heard of this wonderful inn. They have a special shout out to Jaime Lopez who they so enjoyed conversing with over breakfast. Highly recommended.

This is a Beautiful historic Inn located in the pulse of Exeter NH. I was greeted at the door by the owner, Jaime and his two adorable little dogs. With much warmth in the welcoming, feeling valued and appreciated. The environment inside was immaculate, clean, not a spot of dust, lint, dirt anywhere. The space was beautifully decorated with exquisite antiques in every space.
My suite was spacious, filled with all amenities one would expect in a place of this caliber. When I thought it couldn’t get any better, I then fail in love with the bed! The most comfortable plush bed I’ve slept in within all my travels. I typically jump out of bed as soon as my alarm goes off - the first time. However, it took another 2 hours after my alarm went off before I convinced myself to get up.
Lastly, when stepping out the front door of this exquisite building, I was immersed in the middle of restaurants, cafĂ©’s, shops, pubs, and antique dealers.
If visiting Exeter with a desire to reward yourself for all your hard work, past the extra to experience an environment that is beautiful, romantic, and worth every cent.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn by the Bandstand! Jamie was attentive and navigated hosting during COVID-19 restrictions very well. The Adams Suite was a lovely weekend oasis for us, especially when we had the pleasure of listening to a live music performance from the Bandstand just outside the inn! We look forward to visiting again to explore more (and there truly is so much more!) when times change!

My wife and I booked a last minute weekend getaway to Inn by the Bandstand and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Williamsburg Suite, which is actually two big rooms - a main room with a canopy queen bed, fireplace and couch, and a second smaller room that had two beds. The Suite was the perfect weekend retreat - clean, comfortable and cozy with nice antique furnishings. The Inn itself is beautifully furnished with period pieces and has a lovely back patio where they serve breakfast. It was a pleasant surprise that breakfast on the patio on Saturday morning was accompanied by a string quartet. We will definitely return!

Exceptional in every way. Staff has found a way to have guests experience history with comforts of home. Rebecca prepares delicious breakfast each day. Jamie is a most gracious host who even arranged last minute accommodations for us when we had a change in travel plans. Robin ensures utmost cleanliness in the unique guest rooms. The Inn itself is beautiful with an outdoor fireplace patio and cozy parlor and breakfast rooms. I highly recommend a stay at the Inn By The Bandstand in Exeter.

My boyfriend and I took a last minute trip to New Hampshire, and Jamie was fantastic at accommodating our last minute, late arrival at the Inn. Our room was very well-decorated with a great view on the main street in Exeter. Both our room and the entire Inn were extremely clean with a historic feel. The rooms were very accommodating with Keurig machines, a mini fridge, microwave, and lots of amenities. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning with great coffee, beautiful china, and excellent service. The Inn truly exceeded our expectations and more than matched the beautiful pictures on the website! The town is very quaint as well, and we had a great time walking around and shopping and then taking a stroll along the river. We definitely want to come back later.

So very beautifully appointed with period antiques and spectacular interior and exterior design, the entire 1809 home is impeccably restored with each room of its own unique decor. Since July 2020, we have flown from our home in Southwest Florida to stay at the Inn for long weekends in summer, autumn, winter and soon, spring. We just can’t get enough of beautiful New Hampshire and more specifically, The Inn on the Bandstand in downtown Exeter. As a Soutgern gal, I just thought “over the River and through the woods” and “one-horse open sleigh” was something conjured up fir Hollywood or a Currier and Ives lithograph..BUT IT IS REAL, SO WONDERFULLY REAL!! I fully expected Jimmy Stewart to come running down the quaint Main Street in the snow! So lovely and so much to see and do in NH!!❤

We stayed here for just a short weekend but our room was beautiful and even came equipped with water and port which was a nice surprise. It also has a lovely fireplace which we enjoyed. We had an early race the next day so staff was super accommodating with letting us bring our dog and check out late. Very friendly . Great location. Staff even gave suggestions of where to eat and they did not steer us wrong!
In a world where customer service no longer exists , it sure does here ! What a gem of a place !

An Absolutely Amazing B&B! We had an incredible experience at Inn By the Bandstand! It is by far the most beautiful Inn we have ever had the pleasure of staying. Jaime treated us like royalty in every way.

Thank you, Jaime and your staff for an unforgettable stay!

Sincerely,

Richard and Sharon
