Please take the advice of others. If you are a new employee and EBPA or any of its affiliates and you have the option to enroll in services with them, please consider if the benefits outweigh the stress.

They take zero accountability for the lack of transparency around policies related to spending, reimbursement, deposits, etc. They are woefully lacking in culpability in any capacity they their practices and policies are the issue.

I have called several times with various issues over the years and it's the same 3 women I always speak to. They're purposefully unhelpful and borderline on gaslighting when you ask for legitimate help.

Anything they are unable to answer is simply 'resolved' by saying, 'your employer should've informed you of this'.

I have not done enough digging into EBPA to fully understand their corporate structure but I would imagine a great deal of the business is derived from using your hard earned money to invest much like Starbucks, DD, or other large corporations that offer a 'debit' option into their ecosystem. They are bank backed with untaxed, mildly regulated consumer dollars without saying so much. Guaranteed deposits each month...what a grift!

The small 'pre-tax' benefits you gain by using them is not worth whatever nefarious practices they have to ensure it is extremely difficult and time-consuming to use your money as you see fit...if you can access your money at all.

Awful benefits company. To employer benefit professionals: do not use this company until you want to hear constant complaints from your employees.

Horrible company. I am putting money aside and can’t even use it. Will definitely not be part of this crocked company. I have had this for four years and no issues. This company needs to be audited

Trust the poor ratings for this company!! If my check gets here when they say, it will be 8 weeks after I filed for it!!! That's $5,000 of my money I've already paid into my Flex account being held hostage!

I usually wait until November to cash in on my dependent care flex account balance for Christmas money. In the past they have always sent a check within a week to my PO Box. This year, they somehow changed the address in their system and sent it to my physical address which the Post Office does not service so it doesn't arrive.

Called after 2 weeks and they said I have to wait 15 business days before they can do anything about it. They confirmed they sent it to the wrong address

Waited 2 more weeks and called again. They said they would cancel the original check along with another unreceived smaller check they also sent to the wrong address and mail a new one to my PO Box.

2 weeks later I call again, still no check? The woman looked into it and said they cancelled the old check and they are not allowed to issue a new one for 30 DAYS!!!! This was all new to me, I paid for Christmas out of other funds counting on my money being sent to me in a timely fashion. Now, I'm being put in a very awkward spot financially due to no fault of my own and "NOTHING CAN BE DONE".

So they have been holding nearly $5,000 of my money hostage for 8 WEEKS total since I requested it. And that's only assuming I actually get it in January when they say it will ship out!!!

Called and spoke with a manager: There is nothing they can do. She refused to answer who's policy it is for a 30 day wait time to issue a new check after a cancellation even though they admit they did not send it to my address!

A normal business that pulled this would not stay in business because folks wouldn't work with them with this behavior. Unfortunately I do not have that choice since this was through work and we are only allowed to make adjustments in November during open enrollment. The tax benefits are far outweighed by dealing with this incompetent business that can't perform a simple task of mailing a check of my own money.

Extremely poor customer service. Is a provider for my employer. They are very dismissive and are looking for you to not get your money. They are almost impossible to get a hold of and you can expect very little help. I used them for my daughters braces and they put a block on the rest of my balance because they said the IRS wants to make sure it was not for cosmetic reasons. I will need to wait for 72 hours to get it off after I provide a mailed copy of the receipt of payment. They said I did not update my information to my new mailing address and they had mailed me a request. AVOID

Completely incompetent. These guys own Blue Benefit Administrators which is far worse than Blue Cross MA or any other insurance company. Claims take 2-3 months to process, but even after that, nearly 1 in 5 claims has a processing / clerical error that has to be corrected, taking multiple more months to resolve. Incompetent claims processing, incompetent member service reps. Use a different administrator.

Awful customer service. Tried calling them now repeatedly and phone answering service didn't work, got hung up on finally got through and was told we can't help you now leave a message. Tried website and it was not working properly either. Just trying to find a balance on one of the accounts which should take a minute. Asking my employer to please switch!

Extremely poor customer service. Will not acknowledge their own mistakes. While the IRS has specific laws that make us all jump through silly loopholes, these folks do not communicate clearly, their website often does not work, and when they make errors as a provider they take zero responsibility. Would NOT recommend. I am considering NOT using the program and paying more taxes so as not to deal with them in the future.

Should look into a class action lawsuit on the grounds they hold employees flex spending money for literally years until they let you know they are still holding it and then take over 4 months to cut the check and send to you. Who gets all the interest on your money, well it sure isn't you. I know because they pulled this on me and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there. What agency regulates EBPA?

Has EXTREMELY poor service. Does not hold up to its contractual duties and uses excuses for ill advised employees. I do not recommend them or their services for your company's employees.

Very frustrating to deal with if you need assistance. It's difficult to contact anyone by phone, and I can't even access my account on their website to find out my balance before submitting a claim.
