It's a nice place to unwind and take pictures on a sunny day and has a lot of open space for large group picnics. Many activities such as beach for swimming, areas for barbecue, volleyball, hunting for sea glass or just relaxing.

This is a great park to walk around and take in the scenic views. Their bathrooms seem to be well maintained too.

Great place to bring the family and host events, or even to spend the day reading on the coastline.

You're right on the water so there's ample opportunities to go shell and rock-hunting with the kids. Park areas are large enough to run around and fly kites. They maintain this park so bushes and trees are trimmed and always look nice. Been here a few times, once a wedding and another a family function. Very picturesque and relaxing. One of the best places you can visit in NH, a stark but welcome contrast to our mountains and rural treasures.

Keep in mind that there is a fee for the parking lot, but it's worth it.

This a great place for people kids dogs and families. Dogs are only as allowed in winter and on LEASH! There is a road loop for cars, bicycles, joggers and more. Kids swings and slides! Bathrooms with shower DH or the beach during summer season, NoDogs during summer. Great ocean and river views!

Very nice! Great view of the Harbor with a quiet beach, shaded picnic areas, clean rest rooms, plenty of parking, lots of grassy space for outdoor games and a playground for the younger kids.

It was a nice park. There is an entry fee, very reaspnable price though. Place is kept clean, there is a ton of room so even when ita crowded its not bad. Bathrooms on site. Cool views of ships coming in as well!

THE VIEWS ARE GREAT! This is a relatively small park but it has a lot to offer. It is located at the mouth of the Piscataqua River (which is very dynamic). Fort Foster can be seen across the river. Wood Island Life Saving Station and Whaleback Island Lighthouse are both right there in front of you, not to mention the Isles of Shoals seaward in the distance. On a good day, Boone Island Lighthouse can be seen to the Northeast. Portsmouth is a very active port and daily marine traffic on the river ranges from small recreational boats to fisherman to tugboats to freighters to Coast Guard vessels and on occaision, a U.S.N. submarine.
The park is great for a stroll, a picnic, fishing, playing in the playground and even going for a swim. This park is special!
