Restaurant Serenade

We were greeted warmly by Doren at the door when we arrived. The bar was bustling and looked to be quite popular. We were ushered to our seats in the dining room where Christopher would take care of us. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helped make the experience feel special. We started with two cocktails - the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade and the Will to Live, both of which were refreshing and tasty. For appetizers we started with the tuna tartare, which was a smaller portion but delicate and delicious. We also ordered the crab cake, which was a smaller single serving but very good! The pork chop main was superb - crispy outside and warm, juicy inside. The salmon was also a home run! There were a few dinner specials off the menu we were intrigued by, so we’ll just have to come back soon to try. Overall wonderful experience and would recommend.

Excellent atmosphere, food, and service. Our waiter was extremely professional and courteous. He's probably one of the best waiters we've had in a long time....if ever.

The “raos style” meatballs were oh so tender. The autumn salad with fried goat cheese was wonderful. The rack of lamb and chicken France were both fantastic. I personally didn’t love the apple cobbler dessert but the chocolate tart was great. We really really enjoyed ourselves. The high top tables in bar are a little cramped and with no backs the stools aren’t the most comfortable but we couldn’t reserve a table in the dining room even a week in advance. Throughly enjoyed our meal and our wait staff was fantastic as well.

A cool mix of modern and classic, sexy, jazz bar vibes. Perfect for a romantic, special occasion dinner with my love. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. The service is impeccable. So many gluten free options! And they made me feel so special for my birthday. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

OMG - my coworkers and I went out together for dinner and drinks and we decided to try this place. TO-DIE-FOR !!! Everything was impeccable. I’m definitely going back for date night with my partner. Amazing food !!!

When we walked in the bar area was busy for a Thursday night but the dining room across the way only half full which made our experience better in my opinion. The menu is eclectic with different types of dishes to satisfy everyone. We started with oysters, then the octopus and salad special as appetizers. The octopus was delicious. Then we went with the halibut special and rack of lamb, both cooked to perfection. Finally the coconut cake dessert was the cherry on top of a great meal. Drinks were made great and if you like bourbon I would highly recommend trying the Ol' Smokey. Haven't tried anything like it before but I'd go back just for that drink. Finally the service was top notch with our server very knowledgeable.

All in all a great experience and we will definitely be back.

My wife and myself came here before we got married. We were in search of a restaurant to host our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. We had never been here before so I made the reservation and it did not disappoint! From service to food, everything was amazing and chef Laird took the time to come out and greet us and spend some time with us which I thought was really special. We knew this was the place! Fast forward to rehearsal dinner itself…Emily who I had been working with helped me pick the menu and made custom monogrammed menus for us which was a nice touch. She was very accommodating and understanding because we changed the tables around a bunch of times on her and she was great about it. Mike was fantastic. He made sure we did not have to lift a finger the entire night… forget lift a finger, he made sure we didnt even have to ask for anything. The food again was amazing so huge props to Chef Laird and his team, Mike, Emily and all of the rest of the staff. We cant thank you enough for helping make our wedding weekend the best it could and we will of course be back !

First time we go to Serenade Restaurant, Absolutely Extraordinary!!! From the Moment I Made the Reservation, everything was Treated in a Very Welcoming Atmosphere. Appetizer and Main Course Excellent, I Tried the Colliflower Appetizer, the Rack of Lamb, the Combination of Flavors Absolutely Delicious, Really an Ambience to Meet with Friends and Family Forget the outside word for a While and Relax, Good Food and a Nice Glass of Wine.

If you want a culinary experience with a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic cocktails and delicious food try Restaurant Serenade in Chatam, NJ. This lovely French restaurant makes you feel right at home its four dining rooms. Each with it's own unique charm. We had the room with fireplace, which made it extremely cozy on this chilly winter night. We had cocktails in the bar which also had a fireplace. Saturday night had the prefix menu which cost $83. It include an appetizer, entree and dessert. For appetizers we started with an additional supplement. It was a sampling of three different caviar. A nice introduction for those who may want to take the dive. The grilled octopus with potatoes was another as well as the crab cake were hits. The dover sole over risotto was very lite and the risotto very creamy. The rack of lamb were imported which was a disappointment but, cooked to perfection, a medium rare delight. The filet mignon was a hit and again a perfect medium rare served with crisp fries. Dessert was apple crumb with vanilla ice cream. Their wine list was extensive and expensive and selection was perfect. There is on-site parking in their own lot. Service was very attentive and professional. Well worth it.

Serenade is a standout. Their commitment to fine cuisine is evident in every detail. We applaud the hard work of all involved and look forward to our next visit!

Truly a wonderful meal and restaurant. Food was exquisite, and actually ver reasonably priced for this quality. Service was spot-on.

While all our dishes were wonderful, three in particular deserve calling out: tuna tartare (appetizer) and the 8-oz filt mignon (entree) were truly fantastic. (I don't say that lightly, since I very seldom can find a restaurant steak better than I can do at home.) The octopus (appetizer) was delicious, but slightly "over-dressed" ... I would have used a lighter hand with the lemony dressing. (I'll order on the side next time.)

A great fine dining experience. Delicious food paired with impeccable service. We were there on a prix fixe Saturday. We had oysters and crab cake for appies and both had the halibut for entrees - perfecto. Enjoyed the berry cobbler and triple ice cream desserts. Try a very well prepared Saints and Zingers cocktail - delish.

Celebrated our 35th anniversary at Serenade. We ate at the bar and had a fantastic experience. Brian, the bartender, and Cate, the hostess, made us feel like we were at home. They make you feel like you're family. Strongly recommend Serenade for a special evening and sitting at the bar makes the experience all the better.

We came on a Wednesday night for our 15 year anniversary. We were greeted warmly when we entered and had our coats taken. We were quickly seated and our amazing waiter, Jose, came over to greet us. We ordered the Cosmo and the Latin Lover for drinks and they were perfect! We ended up ordering another round because they were so good! We had the scallops as an appetizer. Easily the best scallops both of us have ever had. They were cooked to perfection and really fresh. Next, we had the bacon salad which was also amazing. I must also mention Emily who worked with our waiter. She was very kind and pleasant. She went above and beyond and was ALWAYS attentive to our needs! She took pictures of us and even suggested a better back drop for us. She also gave us good food recommendations. My wife ordered the halibut and cleaned her plate. I ordered the lamb chops and brussel sprouts with risotto. These were probably the best brussels I've ever had! The chef even came out at one point and offered me more. I regret declining! I didn't want to seem greedy! LOL! The ambience was lovely. It is the PERFECT date night spot. We will certainly be returning.

You cannot find a better restaurant with incredible food, service and ambiance. My uncle said it was the best meal he's ever eaten. Can't recommend it enough. I was delighted that I kept finding more surprises on my plate as I ate.
