Manetto Hill Animal Hospital

All the staff here is wonderful. I've been taking my pup here for years and they treat her so well. She's extremely nervous and they always make it a positive experience for her, the only vets office she gets excited to go into time and time again until she remembers what the vet actually is after she's in the room 😅 but magically forgets and loves seeing them each time

If I could give the Manetto Hill Animal Hospital a 6/5, I would do it! I had a VERY BIG problem... a 90lb German Shepherd named Max who did not want his nails trimmed or his ears cleaned. I had it done by having his previous vet sedate him. Unfortunately, the last time I went to the previous vet (not Manetto Hill), the ear problem was not corrected and Max's pain and discomfort remained. It needed to be fixed, but I soon found out it was not easy to find a vet who would sedate a dog for a "pedicure". I tried several and to be honest, they just didn't understand my dilemma.

I happened to have been at a doctor's office at 100 Manetto Hill Rd. (Dr. Britto if you ever need an outstanding podiatrist by the way!) when I heard barking next door. So after my appointment I walked over to the office, explained my problem to the front desk staff, and they said, "No problem!" They told me Max could be put into a "twilight" sleep (not fully awake, not fully under) which sounded wonderful to me. They scheduled me for the following day :)

So you know, Max can be very aggressive with other dogs and even some people. If he wasn't so handsome and loving he would have been on his way back to the rescue folks in So. Carolina! But he is and he's not. When I brought him in, Dr. Weiss and his assistant, Cathy, took the time to take a case history and get to know Maxy-boy. After 5 minutes Max was so comfortable with them, he just laid down on the floor. After the consult, Cathy was able to take the leash and walk Mr. Max out without me! I have never been able to do this before. I knew then I was in the right office!

Dr. Weiss explained all procedures that would be done and even gave me an estimate which I really appreciated! Two hours later Maxy was trimmed and cleaned, I picked him up and we've been happy ever since. So speaking as a fellow doctor, if you are looking for a professional and caring veterinarian, whose office is top notch and has great front desk staff as well (Did I forget to mention them? They were wonderful!!) then you MUST call Manetto Hill Animal Hospital and make an appointment. And it's nice to know that Dr. Weiss is a local Syosset High School graduate! Don't wait, call today!!!

This was my first time boarding a dog & I was extremely nervous. From start to finish they made me feel comfortable, the place is clean & the staff is friendly & caring. I never once worried about the care she was getting & had a great weekend. Definitely my go to boarding facility!

Manetto Hill Animal Hospital is an incredible place for your animals to be cared for with TLC. Especially Dr. Mantovani. She is an absolute blessing and angel. She has gone above and beyond for my baby boy Rudy, and he was always treated like an all star whenever he was visiting the vet. They truly care about you and your pets, and I could not recommend them higher, if I could.

Very professional and caring. Dr. Beth Schuval is very sweet and the absolute best with my dog. You can tell she really loves what she does. They are also very accommodating. I never have an issue making an appointment with them. Overall atmosphere is great, including the vet techs and the front desk.

We just recently started seeing Dr. Lanzot and he is hands down the best vet we’ve ever worked with. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, but he took the time to explain his exam and findings. He didn’t try to push extra testing or unnecessary medication. He just truly cares about our dog Nash and I will continue recommending him to all our friends and family. I’m so happy we found him...and he’s easy on the eyes too 😌 You will not be disappointed!!

The doctor is amazing . Mallory and Mikayla and Dr Chevel thanks for taking care of my wildebeest Emma . You were so gentle and sweet to her even when she tried to levitate off the exam table. Need a wonderful Vet? This place is GREAT. Yes it is a bit $$, but all vets are, this ones worth it . Boarding and Grooming is available too!

This is by far is the best place to take your pet. Very loving staff and very attentive. Dr. Shevell is a wonderful doctor and is very kind. A truly wonderful experience. The grooming experience was just as wonderful for my cat with some bad matting issues. Thank you to all that work there.

Dr Weiss and the entire staff are very kind and helpful. A recent canine dental surgery went very well. We have also boarded our dogs here for over a decade and have been very satisfied.

Honestly hands down the BEST office ever. Gia has been coming here since she was a baby. She will be 8 soon. Every time we walk through those doors, everyone knows Gia. She's always so happy coming to the office to see her FURRIENDS! Maryann, Kathi, Jessica, Jags, Mary and her favorite Dr.... Dr. Shevell !!! Everyone in the staff is amazing and the office is always clean. I will not take my dog anywhere else!!! Thank you all at Manetto Hill Animal Hospital!

They're wonderful all around from calling to make an appointment to cleanliness. The vets especially Dr. Shevell, the other vets and vet technician.

They have been the vets for both our dogs. Wouldn't trust anyone else with our pets but Dr. Weiss! He's the best. Super friendly staff and very good with our dogs.

I highly recommend Manetto Hill Animal Hospital, who provided excellent care and compassion during the difficult decision of having to put my cat to sleep.

Dr. Ashley Van Kurin was extremely thorough and knowledgeable when it came to examining my sick cat on more than one occasion. What impressed me the most was that she presented all of the options we had and unlike many veterinarians, she didn’t try to up-sell or push me to spend money on tests and biopsies that ultimately would have lead to the same conclusion and result of having to put my cat to sleep. She let me spend as much time as I needed with my cat before the procedure was done and offered to stay until 10 pm or later if I needed more time with him, even though the office is supposed to close at 8 pm.

After the procedure was done, she offered to send me a cement block with my cat’s paw prints and name carved in it, as a keepsake to commemorate his life. A week later, I received it in the mail, along with a hand-written card offering their condolences. All it took was a small gesture like that to secure my loyalty and I will definitely be taking the 2 kittens I adopted from Last Hope Animal Shelter to Manetto Hill Animal Hospital for any and all of their needs.

I love them, I drive an hour to bring my pup here. I trust them and their prices are very reasonable; they won’t do any work unless they absolutely have too.

This is THE BEST animal hospital on Long Island!!! From the receptionist to vets, EVERYONE at Manetto Hill Animal Hospital is A+ I will continue to recommend this wonderful establishment to all my friends and family!!!! Thanks for EVERYTHING!!!!

I have used Dr Weiss and staff for quite a number of years now. So very difficult to find an excellent veterinarian who you can trust. But I trust him completely and highly recommend him.
