Never disappointed! I am a repeat customer and am glad to see they have expanded the menu today I had the Dagwood and it was delicious! Added photos from last time as well. There is also a park next door to walk around in or even picnic, love this place!

I'm not really sure I have enough adequate words to describe how good these sandwiches were. They nail every aspect of the sandwich. The bread stays light and fluffy. The sandwich (even the one filled with mac and cheese) isn't at all greasy or heavy. Nothing lands heavy. The ingredients are all top quality and delicious. I can't believe it's been 30 minutes from home for 10 years and I had no idea.

Awesome grilled cheese sandwiches!!! Great little food truck with a variety of options to build your own amazing grilled cheese. Other hot sandwiches available too. Be warned, they close around 3pm, so don't miss out!

2nd time visiting. You never know what little treasures you find in this world- this is one of them. Best grilled cheese combinations Ive ever had. Prices are incredibly reasonable. You wont regret stopping.

If you are looking for a great place to get amazing grilled cheese you have to make the trip. This place has been around for 10 years now so that should say something. Don't let the location deter you... This gem is a diamond in the rough. Try and find a better grilled cheese for the price, good luck. This is a must stop if you are in the area. Or better yet make the trip. It's worth it...

Had a roast beef, horseradish and grilled cheese sandwich. I was a little skeptical about it but they recommended it. I was pleasantly surprised and it was a great sandwich. The only downside is there is only outdoor seating.

This is an absolute must for anyone wanting a phenomenal sandwich! Not only is the menu creative, but if you can't find anything that tickles your fancy, you can build your own sandwich! The selling point for me was the option for gluten free bread. I always struggle to find good sandwich places and this was hands down the best gluten free sandwich I've ever had.

The building itself is a small shack with a small alcove to order and there is only outdoor seating. I wish there was more parking available, as the lot can only accommodate a few cars.

Food is phenomenal, service was friendly & fast, super affordable prices, all in all a great experience. Will definitely be back.

Not every great eatery has to be brick and mortar or visually attractive. Some of the best eateries are DIVES. American Melts should be featured in the Food Networks Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!
They take an ordinary grilled cheese and make multiple stops through Flavor Town. The combination of cheeses, proteins, sauces and add-ons is out of bounds!
Pictured with this review is the Athena (Feta, Mozz, tomatoes, red onions, black olives, and fresh lemon sandwiched between 2 slices of country white bread and grilled to perfection).
You can choose the Chef's Combination or Make Your Own. Either way, you will not be disappointed.

Everything was delicious. The tater tots were especially good.

Delighted! Had the Brie special. Crisp apples, perfectly cooked caramelized onions. Very nicely wrapped so nothing oozed out. Great hidden gem.

Great sandwiches and the fact that there is a kid that brings out the sanwiches to your car makes it more convenient.

Quality meats and cheeses with awesome crisp on your bread that is meant to enjoyed the minute it comes off the griddle. There's free parking and a patio outside to enjoy these delicious sandwiches. And boy these sandwiches are good. I tried their Stone Pony sandwich and mm mmm ooeey, gooey, cheesy goodness!

Don't you just love coming across spots like this ! i ended up getting 2 different specials , how can u not , everything was grilled to perfection. . very nice owner , also beyond reasonably priced , so that alone was a reason enough to leave a lil extra n the tip jar.

All I can say is...the man makes a mean grilled cheese! There are so many options on the menu it is hard to choose - or you can build your own. Each of us loved the sandwich we got, and there was even a plant-based cheese option for the vegan in our group! To top it all off there are two dessert grilled cheeses. We had the s'mores - chocolate, cinnamon graham, and mascarpone cheese all on a grilled glazed donut. It was SO good!

Upscale grilled cheese variations: they're all good, I like the club. Fries and sodas on the side. It's a shack in a parking lot in an industrial area with picnic tables and benches, but the scenery has its own Jersey-style appeal and I almost always eat in the parking lot if my lunch companion is up for it. I order online so it's ready when I get there.

I love this place. A nice little place where you can sit outside, it feels like a picnic. Also, the food is terrific! Sometimes you can build your own sandwiches, which I think is wonderful!

The service is very friendly (just don't run into the current owner, he is not friendly at all. I think they had a different owner a few years ago who was much kinder and caring)! They may not always stay true to their business hours every day, and the current (not former) owner may be impatient and crabby, but this place is always worth five stars.

At first I had an unpleasant day there once, being sent away five minutes before the time they closed. But I'm glad I gave them a second chance. The employees were much friendlier to me, and the food (as always) were perfect. Five stars out of five.
