Main Street Cafe

First time at this cafe and gotta say I am impressed. My mom always goes here and said get the “Rancheros” with fried egg. The dish is chopped chorizo with jalapeños in hot sauce. The taste is a like sweet and tangy hot salsa for breakfast. My sides were yuca frites and tropical cheese which balances the flavor. The service was very polite and urgent with the food too. This was my first time at Main Street Café. It's very clean and the staff are very friendly. Glad to explain the menu to customers. Though it took a bit of time to get our breakfast, it was well worth the wait. The food was fresh and delicious. I took home the flan to see if it was up to par and it's excellent. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes.
Update: This restaurant is one of my go-to places to eat. The owners, I believe, are all women (go girl power!). Always greeted with a smile. Food is always made with fresh ingredients. When one enters, you are made to feel like family. Covid hasn't changed their commitment to bringing fresh, delicious food for their customers to enjoy.

Very good overall

CONS:
-Slightly pricey, BUT.. it is fair for the portion sizes, Expect $10-$35 for one person

Overall 9.5/10, reason I didn’t put 10/10 being the fact I have more places to try, otherwise, 10/10, very good food and service.

Service was great, very clean place we love it and we will go back, steak meat has a lot of fat we were disappointed because the rest of the meals were outstanding. We recommend Beef soup and Frijoladas

My favorite breakfast lunch and dinner place in the area. I tell my friends that are near Hackettstown to give this restaurant a try. Never had any complaints or bad service from here. The food is fantastic, the prices are just right and their coffee is very good. Main Street Cafe and Rico pan are my go-to places for sure!

Just ate here for the 1st time. Excellent! Huge servings and great service. We had the country platter, veggie burrito, flan and cafe latte! We will definitely be back. Main Street Cafe was highly recommended by a friend of mine who eats here often. Excellent!

Main Street cafe is always a good choice. They make the best latte in town. They offer a huge range of pastries and snacks, delicious Latin dishes and classic meals alike. And every staff member has been kind and considerate, taking the time to remember your name if you come in often. 10/10!

Coffee tastes super great!!!!
I enjoy it so much that I don’t care driving from Budd lake even that I don’t have to do anything in Hackettstown to buy one and also a delicious croissant with jelly LOL

Revising my review. Last time I went in I went with the steak burrito. It’s my go to. It was dry over cooked little meat so I asked for salsa. They didn’t not understand me. ??? They laughed and mocked me. Lost a customer

Amazing food! Hidden gem!

The food was worth the price! I had the Shrimp Fajita and was surprised when the waiter came over with 2 hands and arms full of food. 😱 The staff is extremely nice, the place is very clean and well-organized. I’d definitely recommend this establishment when you’re in Hackettstown. They deserve the 5-stars that I gave them.
