Italian dinning done right! The number one most important thing when dinning Italian is how welcoming it is and Mama's welcomes all. From the start with the parking attendant welcoming you and directing you to a spot, to the hosts, to the wait staff, and the managers/owners the whole experience was so warm and friendly. Of course the food is important too and we were not disappointed. Everything was so delicious, come hungry as you will want appetizers, an entrée or two, and dessert. Speaking of wanting two entrées, you can get a Duet which is a split of two different entrées that they offer, giving you a chance to try multiple things off their large menu. They truly welcome all with separate gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. They even put out little name plates identifying who gets what, so those with dietary restrictions or allergies do not need to worry. Excellent drink selection as well, we did a craft of the red sangria with our meals. With our delicious desserts we opted for a sambuca and a grappa. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful the whole way through our experience at Mama's. We drove just under an hour to check this place out and will do so again.

What a grand welcome we received upon entering your restaurant. This was our first time at Mama’s and my family and I enjoyed your hospitality. Three members of our table had Dairy and/or Gluten allergies. The owner, Tomasso, personally came to our table and went over the menu, and the amazing variety of dishes that you make with fresh ingredients to each customers personal order.

1st time I visited: Service was amazing.. the chef/owner was very warm and friendly gentleman. He explained to us the different menus and the history of the restaurant. I am dairy free and 2 people in my party were gluten free and dairy free. I’ve never seen such a complex menu with endless options for dairy free/gluten free people. Its been 10+ years since I’ve had a chicken parm or any type of cheesecake dessert. Mama’s made it possible.

Valentine’s Day was our 2nd time dining here and it exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend is vegan and that’s what attracted us the first time we came. The vegan menu is extensive and they truly care about ensuring the meal is delicious. It’s impressive that the chefs are doubling down in the kitchen - traditional proteins and creative alternatives like eggplant francese and vegan “scallops.” Also, from the moment you walk in, anyone that tends to your table is aware if you have dietary preferences/restrictions.

Working in food ourselves, we know how much prep goes into trying to ensure your establishment runs smoothly and your staff doesn’t feel overwhelmed or agitated. I must say that Mama Baci knocked it out of the park last night. Everyone had a smile. Everyone wished you a Happy Valentine’s Day. Either it was the head chef or owner who greeted you as soon as you walked in and was assisting the hostess in confirming who was there with/without reservations. We were late by almost 30 minutes and not only did they not stipulate us, we were given a table relatively quickly.

One specific interaction that I was impressed with was a food runner who observed my boyfriend’s meal, was able to tell it was from the vegan menu just by looking at it, and offered to get him shredded vegan cheese to sprinkle on top. I thought to myself wow, just by looking she knew what he had and in that quick pass she thought to offer to get him additional cheese, in the midst of all the other tables she was helping tend to for the holiday. And she also brought me extra bread which is FANTASTIC. As was the coffee - they have GOOD coffee.

We drove over an hour to dine here both times and will happily do it again and again. Whether you’re local to Hackettstown or it’s a little out of the way, I encourage you to make the drive because it is beyond worth it. You can spend your ride there enjoying the mountainous scenery, then spend your ride home recalling the delicious meal you just had.

Kudos to everyone at Mama Baci, from the head chef, to the dish washers that keep up with plates and utensils. Lots of appreciation, we already can’t wait to get back!!!

One of 3 restaurants in Hackettstown that deserve to be considered local institutions (the other two being the Sub Shack & Hong Kong Palace). Mamma’s is Warren county’s best and most storied Italian restaurant and pizzeria, and for good reason. Everything here is expertly crafted authentic Italian American home cooking, from their popular pasta/entree duet plates to of course their calling card, their NY/NJ style pies featuring some of the best sauce I’ve had on a pizza. That’s on top of having some of the friendliest customer service around. not to mention, I’m pretty sure the owners know my dad‘s family. If they’re reading this, my dad’s name is Mike Gerola, but they probably know him as Tyke since that’s his nickname around town.

I booked the Coach Room for my 60th Birthday on October 21st. I corresponded with Sheri, from Mama's, for a number of weeks before the event and she was amazing and listening to and dealing with all my concerns, especially in regards to my guests' dietary needs as well as my own. She went above and beyond to make my party perfect. The staff at the Coach Room were so attentive and the service fantastic. The food was fabulous and the space beautifully decorated.

Along with my wife, we stopped here for dinner on our way home to Pennsylvania. Right off the bat, we go in and they say 40 minute wait, which is expected on a Saturday night. A family with extra seats at their table off us their seats so speed up our dinner. That just shows the type of clientele they have here. It really spoke volumes. The host and manager/owner were very involved with the entire dinner experience, and very pleasant to have around. They work in teams so different servers bring you different items, but all work very well together. My wife has multiple dietary restrictions, and for a place to have a menu for just about every restriction known, they are so far ahead of the game in the restaurant industry. To have that type of freedom with a menu and not worry about what is an option to eat, they make just about everything an option to suit your needs. The food was absolutely amazing, so much that we ordered food as take out for the next nights dinner. If you can’t decide on what to eat because of all the amazing options, they offer “duets,” which is a smaller portion of 2 different entrees. It was a very nice touch for a menu. Noticing people waiting for their tables, they make sure they are comfortable and interact with the guests to help that wait not feel so dry and dull. I definitely see this being a place we stop at for dinner each time we are in the area.

Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful staff, amazing gluten free menu!! The flavors were incredible and portion sizes were very generous!

mamas catered for my sweet 16th birthday, everything was perfect about it. no one could stop talking about how delicious the food was at my party, my brother came home from collage just to have the left over white champagne chicken. process was smooth like butter, just talk to sheri!! mamas is always the place to go when you don’t know what you want to eat but you want something comforting and yummy. portions are always big as well. all staff always has a smile on there face and happy to help. they are all so personable. speaking of personable, talk to the owner, he’s the best!!! confused on what to get? good thing they give you samples for todays special!!

I had the shrimp cosmopolitan, my wife had the eggplant rolotini. Other family members had from sandwiches to personal pizzas (not small in any standard). Not one of us had a complaint! I do have to say though... I am kind of biased. I went to Mama's in my early teens. It was always welcoming there at any age, the owner is down to earth and loves hearing your story. I would and will continue to recommend them to anyone!

Every interaction we had was a great one! We spoke with the owner, bartenders and waitresses. All in all a really lovely experience! I loved the option of picking two things which made it a very unique dining experience. The live singer was also a nice touch. This was our first experience and we will be back soon.

I went there with my staff for our Christmas dinner, the drinks were right on point, the food presentation was excellent and delicious. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is amazing with live music. The tiramisou remind me of Milan.

Wow!! What an incredible experience. Tom, Sheri and team have done an incredible job expanding the restaurant and providing such awesome service to patrons. We had a large group and had to wait a while for our table, which allowed us to talk with Tom, try some wines and interact with the staff. Every dish we had was excellent. They have innovative combined dishes allowing you to try two meals on one plate. If we still lived in Hackettstown we’d be here weekly. Congrats Tom on creating an absolutely fantastic establishment all around.

The food was great. The menu selection was also great. And someone came over and sat with us for a few minutes , I think Tom. He went over the menu. I ordered a duet. It's a combo of 2 things. The eggplant dish with artichokes and sun dried tomatoes was great as was the pasta. All the wait staff were really nice. Would go back for sure. Oh... the drinks were also really good.

Food is delicious and service is TOP NOTCH every single time without fail, and they have excellent vegetarian and gluten free menus as well. We went most recently on Valentine's Day and it was so delicious and special, and we received EXCELLENT service from Tatiana, who was so sweet and attentive, although the service here is always great. I live 30+ minutes away and it's more than worth the drive. Can't recommend this place enough!!

This was a long pending restaurant to visit, and finally, we made it. They are famous to give you any alternate of an non veg product in veg format. They have all plant based alternatives. Plant chicken or plant meat, etc. If you want a cozy atmosphere, this is the best place. Price is comparable to a lot of restaurants around the town. Servers are really good and caring g, which will elevate your experience in having the food. You should visit this place. The best part is, in a long time, i had not seen any restaurant where rhey explain whT are available for dinner. We ordered veg and cheese pizza, and they were over filling. Really big ones, but the order size is called small. Later, we thought we should have taken personal pizza.

My family had a perfect time holding a 60th birthday party here yesterday. The staff was incredibly friendly and was on their game when it came to any of our requests. We had about 16 people which can sometimes be a tall order, but they handled it beautifully. The food was top notch and despite so many people at our table, it came out very quickly. I would recommend anything from here, but especially the pear and Gorgonzola purses. They were to die for!

The owner came out to wish my father a happy birthday and spent time conversing with all of us, which we appreciated. They also had a great guitarist and singer which we enjoyed. It is really the small things that add up to a great dining experience. We will certainly be back!

I am 9 years old and went to Mamas with my friend and mom yesterday. Even though they were busy they seated us right away without reservation because they knew we were hungry. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. They brought them out with with fresh warm bread quickly.

The pizza is always very good but I ordered penne à la vodka last night. So happy I did because it hit the spot. Then for dessert I ordered an ice cream sundae.

Our waitress was really nice and gave us some extra kids menus so we could play tic tac toe. I can’t wait to go back!

The best Italian food I’ve had in 23 years. Maybe the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. They offered a vegan menu before seating me. I am not vegan or vegetarian but fully appreciate they have options for everyone. The entire staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was authentic Italian. The Google and TripAdvisor reviews were not exaggerating. The taste and quality of the dinner matched its presentation and was paired with a perfect wine selection. Hope to be back in town again sometime soon.

Had my baby shower here, and it was an all around amazing venue. The food was fantastic, booking the room for the event was very straightforward, and the pricing was quite reasonable for the level of service, skill, and lovely food we received. They even packed up all the leftovers for us.
