Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant

Haven’t had Mexican food in awhile and decided to try Rio out. I tried the steak quesadilla with salad and rice! I was surprised how tasty it was. The rice was fantastic and the small side salad was refreshing. The service was fast and overall a solid spot to try again. The menu has a great variety of items! Jalapeño poppers were on point, full of flavor!

Salsa and chips were fresh and tasty. Diablo chicken was spicy and delicious. Fast and friendly service and very nice to the kids. My burrito was great

Great margaritas! My husband had the pina loca. Best Mexican food he has ever had. I had the burrito it was very good. Recommend highly!

I've been to this restaurant twice - once for a late lunch and once around dinner time. Both times, the service was outstanding and the food was perfection!!!

During the lunch time visit the restaurant was fairly empty. The service was pretty quick, and we did not wait very long at all for our meals.

During the dinner time visit the restaurant was pretty full. We didn't have to wait for a table for 8 people, but the majority of the tables were full. Even with a full restaurant, the service was quick and the food came out very fast.

Both times, I ordered Carnitas. They were so good the first time that I wanted them again.

The Coca-Cola there is very good too.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and festive. The bathroom is very roomy (big enough for a wheelchair).

This place is a gem. The food is delicious and authentic. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant gets super busy for a reason. Service was a little slow because they could use the extra help. It is the best Mexican food place that I have been to, and I have been to Texas. Two thumbs up and high praise for this place! If you love Mexican food, then you won't be disappointed in this place.

Good was good and drinks were good definitely would come back to this place again.

Randomly in the area and we Googled Mexican restaurants. This came up and it was close from the interstate plus they serve margaritas. Our server was friendly and the food came out fast! He laughed when I asked if a tamal was the same as a tamale. We live in Vermont and there are NO MEXICAN places so this was a godsend. Best I ever had? No. But so glad it exists and the food was decent 👌🏼 🙌🏽 😋

Chips and salsa were fresh. Server was fantastic. We did not have much of a wait at all for anything. Taco salad was fresh, chicken was tasty, plates were hot! Definitely worth another go round!

I have eaten at dozens of Mexican restaurants all over the country, and this was one of my favorites. The flavor of the food was amazing! The folks there were so kind. The setting and building were definitely not the most impressive, or aesthetically pleasing, so not like a formal date night stop; but the food was incredible! I have eaten a lot of bland Mexican food, so it was really nice to have food with so much flavor.

This place is really great. Authentic Mexican food and drink. The new bar looks great. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Glad we have this restaurant in the village. Stop in if you want good food.

The restaurant was so authentic from the decor to the drinks to the food to the desserts. Magnificent !! Drove an hr to celebrate my birthday there and was so glad everything was delicious. Our server Nessa was 5\5, truly great at customer service. Even the manager stopped at tables to greet guests to see if all was well. Huge selection of food venue. Prices very affordable. Highly recommended. Oh and very clean dining area and bathroom areas.

It's been better, but it was still good. The Food did not seem fresh. It looked like it had been reheated or in a frozen state before it was cooked. But the service is always impeccable. The waiter was excellent.

Great food! Impressive service—one worker held about 5 plates on his arms with hot pads underneath. Talk about going the extra mile. Nice, comfortable atmosphere.

The place was amazing! Great open space and very clean. Great place for your family or groups. The food was a 10+, the service was on point, all questions answered, and suggestions were made to save us a few bucks by our waitress. 2 THUMBS UP 👍👍

The food here is really good. Its close to work and everyone loves it. Today was the second time someone did not get their tortillas with their fajitas so I recommend checking for that before leaving with a pick up order. Do NOT grab one of the sodas out of the fridge, they charge 3.50 for'em. Overall though the food is too good and the server was too polite to really rate them any less.

This is the first restaurant I've been to in Syracuse and I loved it. Back in Wisconsin, we used to love this place called @Jose's authentic Mexican restaurant and that's by far the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been. This one is similar in many ways like the endless portions of fresh hot nachos and yummy fajitas.

Service was good - we were greeted and seated promptly and the wait staff was attentive without being overbearing.

The food was fantastic! Generous portions, great flavor, fresh tasting. Love the huge basket of chips and fresh, tasty salsa that were provided.

Dining room is nice and clean, and there seems to be plenty of seating.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I had been craving rio grande and finally caved. I placed an online order today. When I arrived at the location I waited about 10 minutes inside for my order to be ready (no big deal). Well, I’m assuming to the staff it was a big deal. When I arrived home and opened my order, on the top was a piece of dessert that I did not order. I assume that was on the house for waiting for my order to be complete. As always, the food is amazing & the staff is so friendly.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant not one of those watered down American prototypes. Amazing food and the friendliest staff. A great atmosphere for the entire family.
