Matt & Jay's Barber Shop

I have been coming here for over a year now and this is the best barbershop in St James/Smithtown hands down. Matt, Jay and Bryan all do a fantastic job. So happy I found this place, I will continue to use them for a very long time!!

Very happy they opened. I used to be a customer of another barber in St James. That owner was arrogant and stopped doing shaves after COVID.

Luckily I found Matt & Jay's. Easy to get appointments and always a quality cut/shave.

Matt and Jay’s is a great barber shop and it was a terrific addition to the St James community a few years ago. They are amicable and accommodating while giving you a quality haircut with a great staff!

Just moved to the area and was really struggling to find a new barber. Since prior to moving here I had the same barber for many years. After doing a lot of research, I came across Matt and Jays. I have to say that I am very, very picky about my haircuts specifically the line work on my skin fades. I got my haircut by Matt and I have to honestly say it was the best skin fade I’ve gotten in years. The time he took in cutting, the care and overall experience was nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend if you’re looking for an amazing barber that you come here. I definitely am looking forward to getting my haircut here for years to come!

I’ve lived on Long Island that past 3 years and struggled to find a quality barber with reasonable pricing. Matt has been cutting my hair the past 2 years and his attention to detail is second to none. Just recently moved and will miss the haircuts.

He listened to what I wanted and executed perfectly with a sure hand (2) and great attention to detail.

Just popped in for a haircut and they were able to take me right away. They usually go by appointment from the website which seems to be very well organized. Never noticed this place before, I guess they opened a year ago. Save me a trip into village of the branch and wall the traffic. The place looks great. Real classy barbershop. They took care of me really quickly, but I wouldn’t of minded hanging around the place for a little while longer just has a great feel to it. Lots of wood and comfortable seats.

Matt & Jay's Barber Shop is always very clean and well kept. I have been a customer of Matt's for 5 years from before he opened his own shop with Jay. The entire staff does a great job and are all courteous and professional to all customers that come into the shop. Great service from nice people- I highly recommend this barber shop !
