They are seriously the worst. I have to call every few months to change our primary doctors for me and my child. I have never even heard of the doctor they keep listing over and over again and I live 2hrs away from said provider. Every time I call I go through the aggravating automated system to do the same thing all over again every time for over 4 years now. It is ridiculous. The available providers in my area is pretty desolate. I couldn't find a dentist within 50min to take this insurance. I can totally understand why businesses wouldn't want to work with them. I wish Marketplace wasn't such a headache to navigate as well. I cannot even log in after months of dealing with their IT. I gave up on both.
Oh yeah and they refused to pay for my Urgent Care visit (which I had to go to ER for and they did pay for) so thank god I have Veterans insurance as well or I would have been left with that bill. I got no reasoning as to why it was refused.
Edit to respond to "owner": No thank you, you have proven over and over your customer service is completely useless. Your 'F' rating on BBB isn't an accident. I wish I had known more about you when my daughter was born. Thumbs down.

No one accepts them and they never have an answer when you call for assistance. I don’t understand why they even still exist.

What a joke of a company! From day one it was a billing nightmare. We paid in advance and kept getting notices that we did not pay. My poor wife would spend hours on the phone trying to sort it out. They canceled the coverage for both of my sons with no reason or explanation. When my wife called she was told they still have coverage, as they should since we always pay in advance. But at our recent doctor visit we were informed that they are not covered.

Today we met with a local rep for another company and switched. We will be gathering all of our payment records and filing a complaint with the NYS Attorney General. I will be looking for others who have also had a bad experience with this horrible company. I’ve never dealt with such incompetence.

They have denied medication for my son multiple times and I had to find a new place to get glasses for my daughter because the place we went to stop accepting Molina because of pay issues. Stay away from Molina.

Edit to add-after I reached out to the email address listed below that they told me to contact them at, I never heard back. It took five months to finally get things settled. I dropped Molina completely for my kids after they said I never paid their monthly premium and demanded repayment from the office visits we already had. It took the rep from my kids pediatricians office meeting with the new director of Molina and her to do weekly follow up to get reimbursed the premiums I had paid. This is the worst excuse for a company and leave them as quickly as you can. Hell, it only took me five months...

Molina is the worst. They can never keep payments straight. I've spent over 13 hours on the phone with them in the past three weeks trying to get someone who can actually help me. They cancelled my kids insurance with NY State of health for lack of payment, even though I've paid for two months in advance. Their records show payment and active enrollment, however, two weeks later, they still haven't sent updated paperwork to NY State of health. I've asked multiple times to receive call backs (for proper payment amounts, correct enrollment dates and services offered) and never get them. I'm at a loss for how to continue working with them, as I'm now being told by NY State of health that I'm facing fees in my taxes for having gaps in my children's insurance. Go America and our junk of an insurance system (and clearly incompetent employees).

Personally, I do not like the way they got in the health insurance market. I was advised from NYSDOH via their marketplace to pick Molina as my additional, second health insurance company.

They never calld me to update my information. I needed a new PCP and for some reasons I could not pick one because Molina did not have that doctor in their list. Funny huh?! A health insurance company that did not have the doctor I go to for all my health issues.

Their patient website is totally crashed. It is absolutely so difficult to change things in your profile, either is address, contact information, PCP, Pharmacy or whatever you are trying to update/change. It just does not update even if you hit that 'submit' button millions of times (believe me, this is not an issue of my internet provider - double checked with them too before I came here for this review).

Overall, on the second week of December 2020 I get a text from someone of their costumer service team trying to get me enrolled after I cancelled the enrollment with them.

Yes, I stayed with them because I did not have enough money to afford my own health insurance and now I do.

This gentleman tried to get me enrolled and SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE. Like, are you guys serious? Via text message? Do you guys have phone numbers, emails, mails? This is how you guys do it nowadays? Like you are talking to us just like bff's? Ridiculous.

Anyway, I never was satisfied with their services. I would get late invoices and for their sake I would take longer to pay them because of that reason. Personally, I would advise not to pick Molina. Try something else, but not Molina. They are new in this and very messy. Maybe they will change, which I hope so.

Will not even cover a regular office visit. We are now almost 3000 dollars in debt because this insurance company refuses to pay any of the Bill's even their portion of coverage is refused. The policy states they provide coverage and instead they deny it with lame excuses like "we dont think you needed the visit" as if it's up to them wether someone should go to the doctor or not. Made multiple calls to the company only to be blatantly hung up on. DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS PATIENTS AT ALL, ABSOLUTE SHOT HEALTHCARE. THEY DO NOT EVEN PAY FOR EMERGENCY VISITS!!!!! and again they refuse to speak to you about any of this they just hang up on you. One representative even LAUGHED before hanging up. >:( absolutely disgusting and worthless.

I hate this insurance. The gave me a medication but wouldn't give me the needles to take it with. Then they told me my infusion wasn't medically necessary. I called to ask about a bill that turned out I didn't need to pay and the girl on the phone told me it wasn't my problem to stop bothering her.
Rude , nasty people. And they don't care about getting people the medications they need.

This place has denied my husband the following..in no specific order.
1. Diabetic insulin pump supplies
2. Insulin
3. Cut how much metformin he can take in a day to 1 dose.
4. Denies 90 percent of other medications.

I am convinced they are trying to kill him because they don't want to cover anything he needs to help him survive and have quality of life. I will be reporting them to everyone and anyone I can, including the media. And don't talk to the regional manager..his advice is, switch when you can. You better believe we will and anyone that uses them. Good luck.

Too bad I had to even give one star. I'd prefer to rate them a big fat 0. They took over Yourcare which I had ,on July 1st..it has been a complete nightmare since July 1st. They said nothing would change and all our info would be carried over. Including PA's. My husband is on tons of diabetes meds and they are declining them all. They all need a prior auth which they claimed would carry over from yourcare. They sent us ID cards with a doctor we dont even know. Run for your lives people. If and when I can switch..I will. This place uses CVS Caremark which denies everything. I can see a class action lawsuit against them in the near future when they deny people thier medication, they go without,and die. And I won't even get into the illiteracy from thier customer service agents that make you feel like you are a bother to them when you call, they have big attitudes. For people working from home, you would think they'd be a bit more compassionate. No..they are rude.

medical bills denied. submits false insurnances to billing medical offices to justify denial. there policy perseives to be to receive their payments from nys of healthcare, but donot actually pay out medical bills for their managed medicaid clients.

Wow! I was looking for inexpensive health insurance & never heard of Molina Healthcare.
Reading further about Molina Health I can see it does not care at all about your you or health, including useless customer service. They (Cust. Service) seem like they are there to pass the time in order to get a pay check
& any call answered is inconvenient to them.
Thank you to all who wrote reviews & possibly saved me from such nightmares.

The fact I have even give a star is getting me upset. They do not cover anything at all. Yourcare was better, My dad needs an MRI as soon as they day of the appointment come they call to cancel because they are not covering anything.
