We are from out of town so we were hoping to find a nice local place with great food. This place was everything the good reviews said on here. And the homemade soups and desserts were soooo excellent!!! Great food, wonderful service and loved the atmosphere. Will definitely come back when I’m in Cooperstown again.

Cute hometown Bar/Cafe eatery. We had a very friendly waitress and the desserts, which are in-house, hit the spot with a cup of coffee. They also have a bunch of other great lunch/dinner options that we did not get a chance to try, but from seeing them ordered by the other tables, I would definitely come back.

Great service. Great food. Nice cafe on Main Street. So glad we gave the Doubleday Cafe a try. New England Clam Chowder and the Vegetable Quesadilla were soooo good.

This is 100% a tourist town so finding amazing food at good prices just isn’t going to happen. Overall in most towns I would give them a 4, but considering it is in Cooperstown the quality and the taste is pretty darn good. It was very clean and we got tremendous service. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful and a guy behind the bar (manager or owner) came and gave our kids packs of baseball cards. Wonderful atmosphere, good beer/cocktails menu and good food. For 3 adults and 2 girls (age 7 & 11) 5 meals plus a Bloody Mary, 2 beers, a coffee and 3 desserts was just over $100…

I had a great meal, French Onion soup and the Grilled Chicken BLT. I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat. Great staff and always asking if you need anything.

Doubleday never disappoints. Visits during the village and baseball off-season still provide top-not specials to go with a baseball atmosphere. You can find simple dishes as well as truly creative entries.

The same servers are present year after year, and they are fantastic.

Nice baseball themed cafe with excellent food and service. My wife (who is not a baseball fan) liked it. She said, "A quaint place that takes you back in time."

October 2023. Stopped for some lunch. First timers. Service was very good. We had a chicken BLT. It was ok. The taste was good but it came on a roll rather than toasted or grilled bread. That seemed to take it down a notch on our end. Our son had the go-to: chicken fingers. They were good and hot, served with fries. We also got the turkey with avocado BLT, which was served with toasted bread. This was great and worth a future trip. Atmosphere is very nice. Paid parking in front. Prices were what we expected to pay in Cooperstown. Definitely worth a trip...or a trip back.

Had a delicious reuben for lunch. Lunch was so good we were still full at dinner time so we popped back in for dessert. The mudslide pie was excellent not to mention huge! Would definitely recommend! And will go back if I’m ever in the area again!!

The food was surprisingly good. The cafe used shell pasta for the macaroni salad, which is a novel. The place was busy, but wer were seated quickly. The staff was friendly and courteous. We look forward to returning in the autumn.

We stopped by the Doubleday Cafe while in Cooperstown visiting the National Baseball Hall of Fame. We told my daughter look up places to eat. She said this one has good reviews and is close by. The food was delicious my son had the hamburger and my daughter and I had the avocado turkey BLT. It was delicious and affordable. We highly recommend.

Having breakfast here was a pleasant experience. Staff was great and the food was better. The location is right off the main street, and just a short walk away from the farmers market. I highly recommend.

Came here during Labor Day weekend, when NYS is still re-opening.

The food here was great. Rarely do I ever really find a place that makes the “perfect” breakfast that fulfills what I’m craving. Ordered sunny side up eggs with an English muffin, sausage and well done home fries. Doubleday Cafe definitely delivered. I asked for ketchup on the side, and I barely used it because everything just tasted that good. The staff was friendly and quick. This is a spot I hope makes it through these tough times so others can enjoy the experience.

One of the best places to have a beer and something to eat in Cooperstown village. The magician bartender is phenomenal. My wife and I were in town for 4 days and we ate here 3 times. Absolutely loved it!
