Brewery Ommegang

5 stars all around! This was our most favorite and best stop on our road trip in the northeastern US area. This also ranks at the top of our most favorite breweries to date. This place was bigger than expected, clean, and well decorated. The food was delicious and the beers were phenomenal (as expected). Coming from California and only trying their bottled beers that make it out there, having their different varieties not available to us was priceless.
For food, we had the crispy Brussel sprouts which were crispy on the outside and warm and softer on the inside. Ate the fried chicken sandwich which was wonderful and the crispy tofu on the side which was unexpectedly perfectly cooked, even my kid liked it! Also had the pesto Mac n cheese which I loved as well with the chicken salad on the side. This place was worth coming across the country for and driving through narrow roads to get here.

Stopped in for Sunday Brunch Bingo. Absolutely fun! This is a must stop from now on. Tom was amazing! Carie was definitely the hostess with the mostest. Thank you for such a great day!

Come for the beer, stay for the food. Ommegang makes some of the best beer you’ll have. For those beer curious people, make sure to get a flight and try as many as you can. Although this is a brewery, the food is also very good. Had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was very good. We sat outside and enjoyed the bonfire and live music. If your in the area or going to Cooperstown, this is a must visit.

Great place for lunch! The food was very good, the service was excellent and friendly and the beer was amazing. The atmosphere was very inviting and pleasant and the bar was clean and comfortable. Would recommend stopping by. If you are new to breweries get a flight! Try it all. Very satisfying!

First time visiting Ommegang Brewery and loved it! We did a tasting with Paige and it was fun, informative, and delicious! We then ate at the taproom and enjoyed a delicious meal, had an Oktommegang beer and outstanding service by Caitlin! Highly recommended visiting - we will be back!

Fantastic experience! The patio and lawn are stunning. There's an outdoor bar (no food service). The restaurant is indoors with beautiful views and fun music. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was fresh and delicious. Recommend the crispy brussel sprouts, 3-cheese Mac and cheese. The classic Frites are not to be missed. We enjoyed the rare Vos Ale was quite refreshing. They also have EV charging in the parking lot! 10/10 would recommend!!

I have been waiting a long time to come here, so it felt like completing a beer pilgrimage, when I finally came. We o ly had beer, and it did not disappoint. I had the Idyll Days and the Imperial Keep it crunchy. Both were good. The outside area here is great. Some seating for dining, and some for just relaxing and drinking. Plenty of room to roam. It is a beautiful place from the moment you drive up, and I recommend visiting!

Stopped here as we heard if you were a craft beer lover it was a must see.

The place is situated on a nice piece of land and setup for large events. We sat out back where there is a bar and covered seating and a large yard where kids can run around our play some Cornhole and wiffle ball.

They had a good selection of beers and other drinks. Service was good but got a little slow as the place filled up.

Highly recommended checking it out.

Tasting room was fantastic. Erik gave us quite an experience and one hour was not enough time. I have wanted to go up to omegang for years and it's worth the trip. Saw a great concert in the yard as well.

Ommegang is a very large and welcome facility, with great service, top tier food and a phenomenal tasting. Very nice interior to give it a classic feel. Everything we ordered was very tasty from the Brussel sprouts to the burger. The tasting with Evelyn was our favorite thing in Cooperstown. 45 minutes with a beer expert tasting their grand selection. 10/10 would recommend. They also have a huge yard for kids to play corn hole, Frisbee and other activities. The beer as always was also very warming and tasty. Watermelon kosch was perfect for a summer day

After taking a 3 hour train ride followed by a 1.5 hour drive through winding roads and the beautiful scenery of NYS. You will come across this gem of a place. I love visiting Breweries in general, and for the most part they are pretty standard all around. It’s been years since I’ve been to one.

I’ll tell you this was worth the trip.

Upon arrival, was greeted at the shop by the most wonderful human by the name of Paige. We asked about the beer tasting. She kindly informed us the next one would be available in 30 mins. So we took a walk around the shop, while enjoying some fresh views outside.

There is nothing more refreshing than having a genuinely knowledgeable person about their craft, but with added humor and personality to go on top of it all.
Paige was fantastic, she steers you across 4 carefully picked craft beers, based on your own taste preferences. Paige is super mindful to any allergies you may have. Mine is to peanuts, so unfortunately couldn’t try out the spooky season beer. It was chocolate & peanut butter!! I’m sure it’s delish!
All and all, this was by far my most fave brewery experience ever. You also get a souvenir glass to take home with you.

Definitely stay for the some food afterwards. The poutine was great, plus the chicken & waffles was perfect way to end it with.

This brewery was so awesome we ended up going twice during our 2 days in Cooperstown! We sat at the bar for lunch Nashville Chicken sandwich and beer with a great bartender who shared her knowledge of the beer while offering us samples. Neon Rainbow, a terrific New England IPA and 3 Philosophers were our favorites. Gary, Ommegang’s general manager was welcoming and clearly proud of his staff and product! He let us know about their Fire pit Fridays, so we returned later that evening for dinner, bonfire, and live music. There were literally hundreds of cars parked in the adjacent field but the brewery did not feel crowded at all. The outdoor space is huge, plenty of seating, great vibe with a happy staff that kept the beer and food flowing.

First time dining and it was fantastic! Beautiful property, delicious drinks (recommend the honey lager!), and solid food. Shoutout to the employee in the rainbow shirt - he was the only waiter and bartender on duty and still did an incredible job being nice, accommodating, and attentive. For four people eating, drinking, and tipping, the total came out to $110 👍

We had a great time! Beer, cider & appetizers were all great! Great server! They were very busy & food service was slow.

Visited for drinks and food yesterday for the first time in a long while. Tap room is beautiful and outdoor space is awesome. The field for kids to play on is a huge bonus. Store has everything you could want to buy. Beers we're fantastic of course. Unfortunately the food could improve- chicken sandwich was ok but missing items, pizza was flavorless, wife's sandwich was mush.

Excellent Sunday brunch food and a blast at brewery bingo. Huge facility with plenty of space outdoors. Must visit if in the area.

Honestly this is my husbands and I favorite brewery! We always feel like family when we visit and our corgi @einzelda loves it there!

The back patio is dog friendly and your pup must be leashed. They always provide ein with water and we have a blast running around the big open fields.

Also if I could recommend anything off the menu the chicken sandwich is really good paired with dream patch (sour) or wheat ale (witte).

This is it. You made it. The legendary Brewery Ommegang. You'd be hard pressed to find better beers in such a sprawling, beautiful landscape, especially if you're lucky enough to be there in the fall to see the foliage change. That said, the beer is superlative, the food is excellent, and the newly renovated tasting room/restaurant is beautiful. If you're more than a casual beer drinker, or you need to bring back thank you presents for the folks that watched your cat while you were gorging yourself, be sure to check out the shop for brewery-only releases too.

Edit 2: Returned for the 3rd time and no regrets to be had. Joined the Sunday Brunch Bingo that they host. It was a ton of fun with a good helping of delicious food. Those Juggernaut Tots were quite hefty. The pretzel sticks, always a fan favorite. Will definitely be back for another Sunday.

Edit 1: finally came back close to a year later, and enjoyed the food. My partner and I came during the re-opening of NY and sat outdoors. Service was good, and they were quick to wipe down tables. We ordered some starters, a flight, and some other food. I do lament that I wish I got the pulled BBQ pork sandwich. Hopefully we will be able to come back soon! And no reservations!

Came here a few months ago, and I fell in love with Ommegang. I know Ommegang is known for their beer, but it is the picturesque place to come for a quick and good tour and amazing views. My date and I did the tasting tour and loved the people who described each drink and were very honest about the flavors. Our tour guide for the brewery was very funny. It was very tempting not to buy everything in the gift shop because I wanted to take home every bottle of double barrel and GoT cans for gifts and personal libations.

My only regret is we did not have enough time to dine here. The food smelled and looked amazing. Will know to come here with a good amount of time as I overheard wait times were up to an hour and a half. Will need to come back soon in the spring to see things under a new season.

There was also a wedding being set up, which made me file that in the back of my head for the future.
