Warm, friendly, and caring staff. Everyone was knowledgeable and would not allow any questions to go unanswered. All aspects of caring for our puppy were covered and repeated. Dr. Star was very thorough and explained what he was doing as he checked Bella from top to bottom. He explained what was needed to keep her in top shape.

Dr.Star is and has always been a caring compassionate doctor to our Shelty american eskimo. Sho-Sho was barely 3 months old when my husband and I met with St.James Animal hospital. The staff always greet us with such warmth and answers all questions and concerns. My Sho-Sho is now 11years old, every year she is seen for her yearly visit and all test needed to give her the care. This has been the same year after year. She deserves the best care, remember a companion is like our child ,no limits to the love and care of our family. I can't begin to explain what has happened in our personal life, my health, along with our family, and the lost of our love ones.In the midst of all our tragedies, Sho-Sho is getting older has had many tooth extractions also surgery's. Dr. Star has always been upfront and clear with plan of care and fees, combined with our Pet insurance.This past year Sho -Sho has developing senior dog issues and just last week I had meltdowns and concerns and not only was the staff loving and caring , but Dr. Star personality has helped us beyond what a veterinarian would!....I am blessed beyond to have chosen St.James animal hospital especially DR.STAR⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and his great wonderful staff ❤

I saw Dr. Starr as A result of purchasing my dog at powwow Babies. The office was clean, the staff were wonderful as was Dr. Starr. He was very patient with us and answered all our questions. There was a little bit of a wait, But that makes sense if he took as much time with others as he did with us.. The wait could also have been a result of having squeezed us in as I had concerns about my little guy as he was not eating or drinking. He also had an ear infection. I was very satisfied with the treatment rocky received.

We love doctor Star and his staff. They always make our pups feel welcome and special. Dr Star has been great working with our pup who has had multiple issues in his short 3 year life and working with his heart and internal medicine doctors. Anytime we go to a specialist appointment the office calls and checks on him to make sure he's OK.

Dr Starr is professional and caring about our pets. Hands on with his clients, and staff is very attentive.

They are the best! Everyone there is so loving and honest and knowledgeable, they have taken the best care of all of our sweet dogs over the past 17 years.

I've been going to the Hauppauge Animal Hospital as long as my parents have. Probably since they opened; maybe in the late '60s. I had my first visit at St. James Animal Hospital last week. It was a very, very important and emotional appointment. It was on Sept 1st, Friday evening when they were about to close & it was Labor Day weekend. I was really taking back that Noone was rushing to leave even though they closed.
They treated me and my pet like 🪙 Gold. The office and examination rooms are So clean - I don't how that's even possible after being open all day. I was just Very impressed with all of the staff and the Veterinarians. Thank you for taking care of my sweet dog.

I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt, My first visit was amazing. So, No offense, but I'm thinking it's their problem. Seems like a lot of people don't have any appreciation for people that work hard and try to do the best at their jobs. Maybe that person is just a constant complainer and it shows. What do you expect? If it's really true what you say about them not responding, there must be a valid reason. Or Maybe 🤔 maybe that person shouldn't take their misery out on other people. My life isn't easy and I am often feeling misery. I definitely Do Not take it out with me or take it out on anyone that's providing a service to me.
I had a horrible smoothie recently and I Wouldn't give them one star. And I was pretty upset. They had just opened and I saw how the new hires were struggling. There's no manager around. I'll either never go back or I will go back And mention it to them - and Give them a second shot.
It's only fair...

5 Star again. Office personnel always so nice and greets you and your fur baby.. They are all great with your fur baby. All personnel, and Dr Star answer all your questions and do a thorough check-up.

Dr. Star and his entire staff deserve all the praise in the world. We've been taking our dog here for almost 10 years and while our commute is long, we would never go anywhere else. Dr. Star is the most, caring, competent, and understanding doc we have ever met. He explains all his examinations/treatments and takes his time to answer all questions. He and his staff have responded to emergency calls, fixed multiple problems with pharmacies, and have even offered to stay late to accommodate us. (Oadie loves them too) Highly recommend St. James Animal Hospital for all your pet care needs!

Dr. Star and the entire staff at St. James Animal Hospital are very cordial and professional and they really care about your pet. Dr. Star takes the time to thoroughly examine your pet and explain everything to you in a clear and concise manner, taking care to make sure that you understand. My pup has been going to Dr. Star since I received her for 6 years and the practice has been very accommodating during emergencies and any concerns that I have had. I am more than pleased with the St. James Animal Hospital and would recommend them to anyone that inquires!

Today was my second visit with my new puppy . Dr Star is so kind, informative and patient. Everyone from Dr Star, the nurses, and the front desk staff were so incredibly friendly and made me and George Bailey feel very comfortable thank you everyone for a very smooth visit.

Like going to see an old time country doctor. Caring compassionate staff and vet. So much happier here than at my last vet. Highly recommend.

The staff is so warm and friendly and Dr. Star was extremely patient with my very nippy mixed Dalmatian puppy Betty White. Thanks to some tips and tricks, she’s already behaving better.

We are new clients there and we are so happy. Our new puppy has been treated so well b the staff. Everyone has been very warm and welcoming and the Doctor takes his time with your appointment.

We ABSOLUTELY love Dr. Star. We have a french bulldog puppy who gets so excited when you go to him. Speaking from a dogs point of view , he is fantastic with them! My dog is so comfortable with him and I believe it truly is because he knows how much he loves dogs. They NEVER have pushed anything on us, and by that I mean products or procedures. He always answers my questions and educates us on what he thinks is best for our pup. Although, in the end leaves it up to us to decide what we want to do. He has a very laid back behavior, and never yelled at us for thinking a certain way. I'm sure though if you were really treating the animal wrong that would be different just because I can tell he really does care. He has a 24 hr emergency line that we have actually used once and it was one am on a Saturday , in which he answered immediately . He never was mad that we called , never gave the impression that we bothered him and he even called back the next morning to check up. Lastly , his staff deserves just as much praise . The girls that work there either at the desk or with the vet are amazing. Always always so kind and helpful , you can tell they love what they do as well. 100% I would recommend him he's a great choice to check out.

St. James Animal Hospital is the best! Dr. Star not only genuinely cares for your pets as if they were his own but he also is very hands on with any and all veterinary care that they should need. The staff is patient, kind, informative and is always willing to help in any way the can.

Dr. Star and his staff are always friendly and courteous when we visit. I have 3 dogs, 1 of which we rescued last year and needed a lot of attention. Dr. Star always goes over the procedures he performs in detail and asks if I have any questions.
