Emmett's Cafe

This is a seemingly popular café that serves up sandwiches, baked goods, and coffee drinks that all look pretty good. It's pretty small and cozy inside, and there's a good-sized patio for a nicer day. I love a place that lets me get a breakfast sandwich past the AM. From the sandwich and wrap I've tried, they don't skimp on the proteins, and they're fully loaded. The lox and the breakfast burrito were both quite tasty; don't ignore that salsa that comes with the burrito, it adds a good flavorful kick. I had their Aussie capp and it showed that they have some good quality espresso. I can't speak on pastries, but I'd definitely come back to try some. This place is a touch pricier than comparable cafés, but I think the quality and portions justify it.

This restaurant is a gem of a find while visiting Columbus! First off, their mocha latte with oatmilk is the best I have ever had. I wish I was exaggerating but I promise I am not. If you like a smooth mocha that has a h I n t of sweetness, this is the drink for you! It was perfectly foamy and just got enough that I drank it pretty quick. My partner got a drop coffee and he said it was too hot to drink fast but the flavor was great.
I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner got the lox sandwich. Both were huge portions and extremely filling! I only ate half the burrito, it was that big. Can't wait to have the rest for lunch later as the flavor was delicious!
Other reviews have talked about the pricing. For the amount of food and quality Emmett's supplies, it is more than worth the price! I wish I lived closer, this would be my new daily spot!

My wife and I were really pleased with our visit to Emmett's.

We got the Falafel Bowl, Emmything sandwich, and mocha coffee. It was all great! The different sauces they have are also a great addition. The seating is limited, so get there early.

You pay for what you get! I thought it was priced accurately for the quality of food, and ambiance. It might be high for Ohio, but this is what I am used to paying when eating out. I was so happy to find this place. My poached eggs were cooked perfectly.
For the people complaining about paying $15 for a breakfast burrito with avocado - that’s about a dollar more than a burrito bowl at chipotle. Get over it!
I love supporting local businesses. I will be back next time I’m in Columbus! YUM!

What a gem!!!! Stopped in and had the breakfast Burrito and the Lox; WOW!!!!
The food is incredibly good!!! Staff was super friendly. This is a quaint spot with NOT average food that you do not want to miss if your are visiting or a local who hasn’t yet visited. It isn’t cheap…. So if that is what you’re looking for, this might not be your spot BUT I’d beg to say ‘ you get what you pay for!’ and We will be back!

TLDR; charming cafe with nice sized breakfast options, great coffee and nice outdoor seating area.

Lovely cafe! Love that they have hot breakfast here that is quick and delicious as well as inventive latte flavors. The atmosphere is relaxing and charming - we sat in the back patio and listened to the birds.

Smooth as Butta Latte - served a bit too hot but really good! Love that it wasn’t overly sweet.

S High Chai - perfect temp and texture, lightly sweet and great amount of subtle spice

Burrito - 10/10 get it

One Handed - basically a McMuffin with prosciutto and rosemary aioli. The aioli MAKES this killer 8/10

Door steps from German Village, this is a very solid option for an early morning bite. They have a banger of a patio outback that is dog friendly and all you can ask for from a breakfast and coffee place!

Cute little cafe with a full menu. There are only a few tables inside, but food is delicious. Lots of coffee and tea options. I got a flat white which was really good and had some nice latte art on top. The breakfast burrito is delicious, they put tater tots inside with eggs and avocado. There is prosciutto as well, but I took it out to make it vegetarian. Recommend getting the green sauce on the side as well. The group I was with also shared the banana bread, which came with about eight small pieces with a dollop of creamy, flavored butter and sliced bananas that have been slightly caramelized. Prices are high but justified as you’ll leave satiated and smiling.

Congratulatory end of the year pick up and pack out brunch at Emmett’s and it was just out of this world. We all ordered the breakfast burrito and OMG, the chunks of bacon with the crispy tater tots and the perfectly scrambled eggs against the chipotle aioli….my taste buds were so freaking happy! The joe was made perfect and I had to get a to-go bag for my ginormous chocy chip cookie. We will certainly be back!

Oh Emmett’s, how I adore you! I enjoy dining in on the back patio, but have gotten take out, too. No matter how busy it’s been, the staff is consistently patient, efficient, and kind. We recently brought out-of-town guests here because we knew this would be a great experience. Awesome coffee and food, especially the breakfast burrito!

One of the best restaurants I visited in Columbus! We came here for a quick eat-and-go brunch during our visit from Chicago and I loved everything about this place. The food was creative and fresh, the staff was great, and the vibe was airy and bright. Highly recommend!

The employees were kind and welcoming. I got the maple latte with oat milk. The syrup was more on the mild side which I liked.

I can’t recommend the overnight oats enough! It’s not something I’d normally order, but my friend raved about it. I couldn’t believe how delicious it was! I love little quirky cafes with small menus because they’re usually so high quality. Emmett’s lived up to that for sure! I love the outdoor seating although there wasn’t much airflow since it’s fenced in. I also got the iced vanilla latte and it was absolutely delicious. I’ll be back for sure!

I have been so excited to try Emmett’s since their opening and I can confidently say it did NOT disappoint!

The latte - strong and creamy.

Chia Rose Parfait - AMAZING. I didn’t expect the cardamom flavor (I’m a big cardamom fan so it was a pleasant surprise) but it was subtle and delicate while also very filling and satisfying! Light and fresh but oh so comforting. Perfectly not too sweet.

The TK Sandwich - yum! The focaccia was airy and not too thick. Loved the addition of fresh arugula to keep it light. The mustard had a horseradish taste to me (I don’t like horseradish) but it was still a good match for the sandwich. Pickled zucchini were interesting and matched the other flavors well. Good balance of hearty & fresh!

The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and patient :) I will be back again and again... and again! Emmett’s is a gem.

I love emmetts and their ability to get you fast take out breakfast in the winter! Their One-Handed is actually phenomenal. I’m not a huge English muffin fan but this is amazing!! They have a great patio area too if you want to dine in!

My best friend and I visited Emmett’s cafe for the first time. We have lived in the area for 2 year and my only regret is not going sooner.

The people are warm and hospitable and the tots are a MUST. Make this a must on your Columbus stops.

Great breakfast burrito, love the ginger fizz drink and the banana bread, coffee and overnight oats. Would prefer if they used slices of prosciutto instead of crumbled prosciutto on their one handed, but the aioli is delicious. Overall great breakfast place.

Yes it’s very good… and the food is very delicious, but a more practical plate would be much appreciated, albeit less cute…

The breakfast burrito was BOMB! I saw pics on Instagram so I decided to give it a try. I am very happy. I ordered extra chipotle aioli and a side of tots that I added to the burrito and it was soo good!! I couldn't finish it all myself so plan for leftovers!!
