Smokey Bones Mentor

My husband and I came in today for lunch as a pick me up meal for me and I must say it did just that. Our server Denzel was super kind and very attentive to us. The manager came over to speak with us just because, nothing was wrong he simply stopped over to greet us and check in. It’s been quite a while since I’ve received this level of customer service since the pandemic and I must say I’m super pleased. Need a pick me up, want some good food and great customer service stop by and see the guys on Reynolds Rd in Mentor. A few wings and a peach tea fizz is all I could capture. Thank you guys for being amazing!!

I was really impressed with this place! This was my first visit and it didn't disappoint. Denzel brought me a tall frosty beer and helped me pick out the best stuff on the menu. They had a special running; a full slab of imported ribs for $14. They were definitely worth the money. The smoked sausage was tasty as were the sides (baked beans and steamed broccoli). We'll be back!

We had a fabulous server - Denzel. Very friendly, kept our beverages filled, and understood how to check in with us without being intrusive. Food was excellent and it was just a marvelous meal out. Steak was great and my colleague had mac-and-cheese and pulled pork & sausage. Both were very tasty. We will definitely be dining here more often!

This place was great. Everyone was so nice. Food was good as well. My dad had an issue (his own fault) and they helped him with a smile.

If you haven't gone in awhile try it out. We will be back and thanks for helping my dad!

We had a wonderful experience! Our server Kailey was very friendly, funny and gave us excellent suggestions for what to order. The food was delicious!!! The cornbread with honey pecan butter is enough reason to go back!!!!!

I really enjoy the food here at Smokey homes. Service is always awesome . Today our server Denzel and he was awesome. Gave us a few laughs but still was on time and moving around to get food out at a good time. The manager was very nice walking around asking everyone how we were. The food was good . I come here actually pretty often and always satisfied.

We went in on a Sunday evening but were seated right away. We had great service at the bar by Denzel, he was attentive and kind. The place was pretty quiet and we were able to just eat and enjoy ourselves no frills. The food was pretty good for the price but the cornbread will always bring me back. Thanks!

Great place with great food! We got the bonefire for 2-3 people and it was fantastic! Definitely will be back for more

Aside from the brisket not being done enough or chared, the food was great. Took off one star for that. Loved the atmosphere and the service. My BBQ Burger was awesome and so were the apps. The ladies had wings and pulled pork 😋 which both of them enjoyed.

Great food, the ribs were fall of the bone perfection and the aesthetics in the building are awesome. Our waiter Denzel did a beautiful job and got our food and drinks out quickly. Not only that he made sure to keep my drink full, I was drinking that lemonade like my life depended on it.

Our waiter, Denzel, was very helpful! We wanted ribs and wings and he helped up figure out the logistics of the menu to optimize our order. He helped us understand the difference between the signature and imported ribs. We ended up ordering both and desert along with their some of their signature drinks! Great place and fairly priced.

This is an excellent restaurant the service was very well. Also the food was to good that words couldn’t describe only the taste could. So I highly recommend the bone fire as well as the smoked wings. The food was astounding and I would definitely come back.

Still our favorite restaurant in Mentor! A shout out to Tiffany, she’s friendly, always accurate with our orders, and a terrific smile…a great server and bar tender!

Terrific baby back ribs, chicken, sides! Staff is friendly. Good beer and wine selection. Open late. Highly recommended.

Our family dined at the Smokey Bones Mentor establishment, Saturday, 3/2/2024. The restaurant was very busy; however, we did not have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated at a booth. Due to the large party seated prior to us, we expected a longer wait time for any service. Our kiddo was quick to choose his menu options, so when our server arrived to get our drink order, we also placed our food order. I wish I got her name, because she was taking care of the large party along with us, and a few other tables from what we could see. She was very professional, extremely attentive, and polite. Another server walking by was so nice to stop and get our son another drink. The general manager, Jay was one of the hardest working employees we have ever seen. Our son took notice and asked his name, tried to tip him; however, Jay very polity refused. The food arrived promptly, was good portion size, and delicious! We found the restaurant clean, not too loud, so conversation at the table could be had at a comfortable volume. As we left we learned the staff was working short handed this evening due to some call offs. We would not have known at all. This crew did an amazing job handling a very busy Saturday evening dinner rush. Way to go GM Jay, and all the Smokey Bones Mentor location restaurant staff working this evening! We truly appreciate each one of you! Each one of you deserve a big raise and a massage!

Laniya was our server and she was perfect; welcoming, attentive, and very nice! Food was so yummy. The nachos are my favorite and the smoked wings. We also had the pick 3 meats, the bark on the brisket tastes so smokey, which was amazing. The experience from start to finish was wonderful. The temperature of the dining room was spot on comfortable. We had a great experience all the way around and very much appreciated!!!

What can you say about Smokey's? It was a slow wednesday night 730ish. Maybe 10 patrons inside. We were seated quick. Had a very attentive waitress. The one I adore... the one with a pen and a pad (Lol). We ordered a slab, chicken, mac, beans, slaw, cornbread with the pecan butter. Chef kiss, food hot, fast, drinks right. Bill was close to $200 but we also ordered "drinks" and sampled apperizers. The bbq nachos!!! Babyyyyy Pro-tip: Dont go in there hungry (Lol).

Smoky Bones Mentor Ohio is an impeccable establishment in which I have THE ABSOLUTE pleasure of visiting almost every Sunday after church with my family. When I say the service is beyond AMAZING, that would be an understatement. They are SUPER accommodating and the service is fast and the food is hot even with a big party as it always is with my family. I have not had a bad experience yet with this establishment. Kudos to the servers and management of Smoky Bones, Mentor Ohio.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Omg the best food. My husband and I had the meat sampler and it was amazing enough for both of us. Our waiter Scott McVey was amazing, super funny, and very kind, he consistently checked on us to make sure we were ok. I would most definitely recommend to friends and family. I don’t write too many restaurant reviews but my experience at Smokey Bones in Mentor was so good that I felt compelled to write. My party sat at the bar and was greeted immediately by Tiffany who was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. I had the pulled pork, and the meat was tender and flavorful. They even offer a half dozen BBQ sauces for you to try and the donuts for dessert were quite the finale. They are currently celebrating their 25th anniversary so if you haven’t been there in a while you’ll be pleasantly surprised by all the specials they are currently running. They even offer a rewards program free of charge which the manager Jay graciously explained and helped us sign up. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in a relaxed setting.

We came for an early lunch before going wine tasting. Service was great. Served was friendly and engaging. Food was excellent, one had the full rack of ribs, one had pick two and one had pick three..a good variety and well prepared.
