The Wooden Shoe Inn

First time here. I ordered a Ruben sandwich on rye because you really can't make a bad Ruben. However, this one was great. It had thick slices of corned beef and the sauerkraut did not have that aftertaste you sometimes get. The bread was grilled perfectly. The shoestring French fries were a nice touch.
I'll have to make this a regular stop when I'm in the area to try other items.

So thankful the new owners came along and breathed new life into The Wooden Shoe. We hosted another after funeral here in the back room. Kind of like a good umpire or referee they are doing a great job when you don't notice them. The staff are so efficient and helpful you forget they are feeding 50 people and serving drinks without any delays. Fried chicken still like it has always been the best around. And bringing back Minster's Wooden Shoe beer with Tailspin Brewery in Coldwater is awesome. A real German style Bock beer in a cold mug. I'm so glad my Dad got to see you guys thriving. ❤

The vintage bar is super cool! I ordered the Ruben, it was one of the best I've ever had. The food was hot and fresh, service was great. I will he back.

Stopped in on July 21st on our way to Lima. Great service. Bartender (he may have been the manager) showed us around the place. Very nice guy. We had a beer and got the sauerkraut balls to share (we had dinner plans that evening). They were amazing. The breading was so light and crispy and the dipping sauce was very good. We will be back for dinner soon.

This little whole in the wall is wonderful. First time I've been there since the remodel and it is really nice inside, almost felt underdressed in a tshirt. I already knew their fried chicken is great so I tried the salmon and I was blown away. By far the best salmon I've ever had. The fries were very good too. Can't wait to go back.

The food was delicious! Lots of choices and plentiful amounts. The Senior menu was very equitable to the rest of the menu. I would recommend this restaurant.

I've been going here occasionally for several years now. Visited last night for the first time since the new owners took over and everything was great. The menu has many of the great classics that made them famous but I feel like it has also been improved upon. The remodeling they have done is gorgeous. The service was great as well. We had a party of 12 and while sometimes it can be chaotic and take foreeeever with large groups, they handled us all just fine. Very impressed! I look forward to going back!

Amazing food! Service was smiling & friendly! Manager was great! I hate sauerkraut, but they have an awesome appetizer. Mac & cheese good. House made alfrado sauce is to die for! Locally brewed bock.

Good food and service. Beer cheese with pretzel was a good appetizer and our entrees we're very good (fried chicken breast, grilled chicken breast, 5 piece chicken dinner). I would recommend the mashed potatoes over fries for most dinners.

Their standard salad had egg, always a plus. Also, the Cole slaw was delicious.

German chocolate cake and the waffle dessert were both good.

We arrived about 5:30 and had a half hour wait. I recommend making a reservation because parties arriving after us had to wait much longer. The old fashioned was a favorite with our group and you won't find a bigger bourbon selection than here. I do not recommend the End of the Day drink special. The reuben was generous and delicious. Our server was patient and efficient. Overall, we had a nice evening and not what you would expect for such a small town.

Food was very good. Loved the cavatappi, burgers, schnitzel and the fettuccine with chicken. 1st time visitors, had a table of 7, service was great and everyone's food was hot and delicious. Note to owner: please put the warm butter cake on the everyday menu. It was the best dessert we've had in years! Will definitely be back.

This place is a gem! Warm and cozy interior & fine casual food done well. I had the cavatappi alfredo & it was the best meal I'd had all week. The Tailspin beer on tap was great too.

Up from Florida visiting friends and stopped here for dinner. The service was great and the food was fantastic. Three of us had the fried chicken and was impressed with the dinner. The chicken was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside and full of flavor. Definitely the best place to eat in Minster, Ohio.

I was a little worried when this restaurant changed hands. The new menus were very different! It's exciting to see weekly menu items come out, especially those with holiday themes. My favorite fried chicken is still available. A minor issue was quickly and efficiently dealt with and their customer service was great! (Thanks, Joe!)

Always great. Our family has gone there since at least the 60s. We started going back there and still delicious!

Great food, cold beer!

Had dinner here tonight with my parents. Super clean, friendly staff. I had salmon with a bourbon bock sauce, very good. My husband and mother really enjoyed the chicken. My father had the walleye. Salads had a variety of greens and homemade croutons. We found out the bread was baked on-site, a pumpernickel and a rye, very good. It is noisy in the back room but for a newly opened restaurant we had no complaints about the food or service.

First time there since the remodel. I enjoyed the place before and I really enjoyed it now. Some of the old menu items with a lot of new menu items. Great bourbon bar lots of choices. Great bartenders are very knowledgeable and helpful and made sure that we had everything for our meal sitting at the bar. Great atmosphere also
