Pierce and Mitchell were awesome. Very patient and kind. They made everything so perfect for mom from the room to extra chairs when we overflowed to sending us Kevin O'Brien. Kevin spent about an hour on the phone with my sister and me but managed to put together the best detailed account of our mom's life. It was like he knew her as well as we did. Everything was beautiful and we felt that Bissler & Sons honored our Mom better than anyone else could have. We all highly recommend them.

Bissler and Sons were extremely helpful and caring when my brother passed and we live 400 miles away in another state. They handled all the details and we had a small remembrance with the Marine Honor Guard for him. Everyone at Bissler were friendly and very reverent in our time of need.

The employee family at Bissler and Sons is an example of excellence. Very professional, caring with quality being the cornerstone of the service. During My personal experience in the losing of my father, their personal attention to detail made all the difference.

The Bissler and Sons / Billows Funeral Home provided excellent service for my mom’s funeral. Mitch Planey was carrying, compassionate and listened to our family needs when my sisters and I created the obituary and the funeral arrangements at University Church of Kent.

I just wanted to take a moment to give a huge shout out to Jordan at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory. My Dad passed away quite suddenly on May 31, 2023. We met with Jordan that day and she walked us through everything. Throughout the course of several days, she jumped through soooo many hoops to resolve all the hurdles that come with these awful situations and expedited matters whenever she could. She maintained constant contact with our family through phone calls and group messages— even on her days off. In the end, everything was flawless and it was a beautiful tribute to my dad—from the flowers to the digital slide show to incorporating our own music playlist through their sound system. Once everything was over, she photographed and documented all the flower arrangements to make thank you cards so much easier. Her kindness and professionalism is top notch. Thank you, Jordan!

Pierce, Mitch & the rest of the Bissler & Sons team we're absolutely wonderful. My Mom passed away & I had absolutely no idea how to handle ANY of the arrangements. I have never done that before...I felt so overwhelmed just walking into the building. But all my anxiety was quickly eased as they were so nice in explaining things the whole process was just way more easy then I expected it to be. They are very friendly, they genuinely care ❤.

Truly professional staff and I felt great comfort knowing that my mother was in good hands. Big thank you to Mitchell and Donna for the exceptional customer service. I’ll never forget how all the staff were in place to greet us so warmly as soon as we entered the building to set up before the service. At such a vulnerable and difficult moment in my life, Bissler & Sons provided such great care. Very patient. This was my first time planning a funeral and Mitch made it absolutely seamless. Thank you a million times over.

I know that I am a year late in posting my review but I would like to thank Mitch & the team for taking care of my mother, Sylvia Mines- Jones so that she would have a proper burial. Her one year anniversary of her death will be on February 8, 2022. Mitch is very responsive via email and phone calls or when you are so emotional that you are unable to talk through the crying. He is patient as he understands that this is a difficult time. When my mother was first discovered by the Kent Police as I needed a well-check conducted for her, Bissler & Sons came in the middle of the night to get her, regardless of the time. They allowed me to see the cremation process for my mother via Facetime as I did not have the physical strength to see something like this up close and personal - watching my precious mother go through a furnace. When a parent dies, the adult children may have trouble coming to an agreement on certain things like in the case with me and my sisters for splitting my mother ashes. But again, Mitch stepped in and it was quickly resolved as I was worried I would have to take my siblings to court for retrieving half of my mothers ashes. Now I will keep my mothers ashes/golden urn with me forever as they will be buried next to me when it is my time to go. I came in this world through her, always lived within five minutes from one another and we will stay together, even in death. I will always be indebted to Bisler & Sons for their service and I would recommend anyone to them, even if the funeral arrangements were not planned as in my family situation.
