I love the food here! I went to Beijing when I was a kid and have been in love with lotus root dishes ever since. This is the first place in the area I've found that makes them. I have been working my way through the menu for a few months now. So far, my favorites are the lamb with peanut sauce and the sauteed string beans. The woman who runs the front order area is so nice and it's great to be able to see pics of the dishes on the wall.

We love China City!! Shirley was our waitress and she was lovely! Our food came out pretty quickly (and we ordered A LOT for a family of 5.) This is a great place if you like Chinese. We love supporting a small business and this is always our go-to Chinese restaurant. Shirley is our favorite and we love not just the food but the family dynamic here! The kids love this place and enjoy exploring different tastes & new dishes! Thank you China City for having great service, amazing food, and for being so kind! We love you! ❤

China city has always been a good place to get great authentic Chinese food. They have new owners and the prices did go up a little but they also have a cheap lunch menu. Other then those specific changes, china city has always been a good Chinese restaurant to eat at :)

Met a friend there for lunch. The place is so pretty inside. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly waitress. Our meals came out within 10 minutes. The food was very good. We will visit again.

Beautiful cozy dine in area. Very friendly staff. Have been enjoying for years, and always very enjoyable. Definitely worth a trip to Kent to stop in for great food!

We went here for the first time, tonight… it was awesome. I love salt & pepper shrimp and it was legitimately the best I’ve had. I would’ve preferred with shells, but it was excellent. Also everything was hot, which I always appreciate, and veg weren’t floppy and overcooked. My 16 yr old is an adventurous eater and the 11 yr old is pickier and both enjoyed it a lot.

I give the food 4 and not five because my dumplings arrived with raw pork inside. The flavor was there, I just need to finish cooking them myself. I called to let them know and they were friendly and apologetic.
Beef noodles and pork fried rice were perfect.

*Let me preface this review with the warning that this isn't your typical American Chinese restaurant. Not as much strong, thick sauces as American Chinese - Which I love too, but if you go in with different expectations, then you may love it as much as we did.

What a great experience! Authentic Chinese and many options that aren't available unless you want to make the hike to Cleveland. We dined in and had Spring Rolls, Kung Pao Lotus Root, and Fried Salt & Pepper Tofu. It was all outstanding! The lotus root was my favorite since it was a new experience for me. It reminded me somewhat of bamboo shoots. You have the option of white or fried rice - remember, when I said it wasn't like the typical American-Chinese restaurant, because the fried rice won't be as heavy on butter. I ended up liking the white rice more and having the Kung Pau sauce take over.

We will be back next week because this menu is massive. My wife is vegetarian and there are many options. I would eventually like to try some of the meat options too.

Solid Chinese takeout/dine-in place that doesn't use the "standard"recipes that most places copy paste. Great food every time

I don't know how to explain it describe this place as anything other than awesome. This is not a place you go to for the typical American Chinese fast food fare.

You come here for some delicious, authentic and interesting Szechuan cuisine. I can't say that I've ever had anything bad here.

Read thru the descriptions and look at the pictures when you order, as it won't necessarily be the same as the way you get the food somewhere else. But this is better, trust me.

Restaurant and next door grocer owned by the same kind couple. We had the following recomended dish: sauteed lamb, chilli fish fillet, garlic sauce with eggolant and all are pretty good.

I've been coming here a few times a year for the last five or so years and I have yet to have anything that is less than amazing. It's hands-down my favorite Chinese food in northeast Ohio (including Cleveland). The highlights are the spicy crispy fish fillet, chicken with three cups sauce, lamb skewers, and eggplant in spicy garlic sauce. Also the employees are always really friendly, and by now always recognize my family

The food rules. Better than any other place in a 50 mile radius. We are lucky. We worried they closed, but are now open again. Have been coming here for years. Suggestion: make the music a little louder inside. It is whisper quiet when dining in, you can here everybody's words.

This place is vary fairly priced and delicious. They have great food and not just the sugary Americanized Chinese food found at most places. We ordered 7 dishes between the whole family and not a single one was bad. Their garlic eggplant was fantastic and the beef and broccoli almost tasted like pepper jerky. They are a little light on the sauce but it was some of the best Chinese food I have ever had.
