Victory Baptist Church

Great place with a heart for their community and missions around the world. Pastor Hilditch has faithfully served God for 30+ years in the City of Mentor. I recommend this church to anyone who is looking for an independent Baptist church that is still standing firm on the Word of God.

I'm New to the church but so far the experience has exceeded my expectations 💯 % as I grew up in a Catholic church. The Catholic Church didn't suit me when it didn't want to baptize my children ( except 2 of them, where I went to school and my Slovenian one.. the rest would say if we see you weekly and you Donate money!!!) My children were just as much the children of Jesus as I was and .... Regardless the Catholic Church isn't what it was.
I'm Extremely Grateful that I was home when the pastor (s) of Victory Church knocked on my door not once but twice...
Other's also did, but my decision to go to this church outta 3 others knocking was maybe God's way or Just the ones that were made me feel peaceful after the left for no reason at all.
I'd give them a try.. I think if a pastor can make you laugh in church even that's probably a plus. I look forward to going!

Wonderful church!
This is our home family church. Have been going here for a very long time. Got saved, Baptized and was married here. My husband, one son, and daughter all have been saved here and the guys mentioned have been Baptized here.
Lovely members. Sweet, kind and caring. A family to us. We love being a part of this church.

A very good Bible based Church all from scripture and Pastor Hildege is very clear with the messages of Jesus Christ and a very beautiful choir to hear.❤🙏🏻

I love my Pastor. He will completely go out of his way, visit your home, to help you in any bad/ evil things going on in your life. He will listen with no Judgment. Can't wait to get back..

The pastor of this church is the most dedicated pastor I have ever met in my life.. Hes a genuine Christian that cares about other's salvation. He and his family are examples of what real Christianity should look like.

I see many bad things being said about this church, the pastor, the pastors family, ETC. My girlfriends family has been going there for years. Her family down the line of many generations actually. They to this day have nothing bad to say!! To me, they’re all kind and loving. They treat each person that walks through the church doors with respect. Wether they are a part of the church or just a visitor, it doesn’t matter. Everyone is treated equal. Things may have changed down the line and through the years, but since I’ve been going (About a month now), everything seems to be great. The pastor came by my home by surprise in his own time and actually allowed for me to be saved!! He gave me his own copy of the Bible seeing I didn’t have one and he invited me back to their church each Sunday. They’re truly good people. So far, I have nothing bad to say about the people in the church or the church itself!!! Kailey’s great grandma is a part of the nursery every Sunday and they kids couldn’t be in better hands!! Kailey’s little sister goes to the children area of church each Sunday and she comes out with a smile each time. Through my eyes, nothing seems out of the ordinary or weird. It’s a great place to be!! Come around yourselves and realize that instead of listening to others!! The pastor is a good man!!! He makes church interesting with his own ways of explaining!! He’s funny!! He’s down to the point!! Don’t mistake his outgoing personality for unprofessionality!!! Come to Victory Baptist Church in Mentor, Ohio and witness greatness with your own EYES and EARS!!! Come to GODS HOME, and allow your soul to be filled with love!! I promise you won’t regret it!! If you have been saved and are looking for a great church to be baptized, be baptized here!! This is where I’ll be baptized in the near future as well and I can’t wait to call this church MY church!! This church family is MY SECOND FAMILY and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Teach and preach the King James bible the word of God. Gone to many churches over my years only twice this being the second Church I have found a pastor so strong in his faith. Will receive nothing but blessings to become a member of this church visitors are always welcome and it becomes your home Church.

This is hands down the BEST church in Lake County. Yes, they are very conservative. So if that doesn't align with you, well... but the pastors including the youth pastor are amazing and very honest. ❣

I’m going through reading these comments and It’s honestly so hard for me a kid who grew up at this church reading such hate filled comments. Comments such as these show no love to the lord and prove only to be selfish to the Christians who know and love the family who guides this church.

For those of you who actually need to read reviews before going to a church how can it be you who decides who to judge or not to judge? The word of the lord is what we seek is it not. And I can assure you children are safe I loved this place growing up. I am now 22 years old. Do not believe everything you read on the internet folks.

Ps: I came hear because I was getting the phone number and couldn’t help but see how many of you left 1 star. Thank you Pastor for giving me the words I have needed to get to where I am to this day 🙏🏻.

My husband says this is the only church he will attend. It's the one that saved him..the pastor is amazing.

The pastor is the best and the anniversary celebration looked so blessed. It was really a blessing to visit this blessed church

This is our family church. My husband used to go to Bible camp here and he has attended with his family since a young age and I started to attend with my family when I was around 15.
