Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This is the first of three that I will be visiting on my trip of 2024 of what I refer to as, The Cracker Barrel Run ( not sponsored).

At this cracker I ordered my favorite which was the chicken and dumplings with the sides of green beans and macaroni and cheese and biscuits only. Mmmm. Anyway, I also started my new thing as a root beer connoisseur because Cracker Barrel has a variety of brands of root beer as well as other unique brands of sodas. This gave me something additional to look forward to when I visit other locations. The employees were very kind and I was allowed to stay overnight because I wanted to try their pancakes for breakfast which was great. The pancakes had a golden crispy buttery flavor around the edges and a fluffy sweet texture of a cake, just like grandma made them. The syrup was thin a with a sweet maple flavor that absorbs into the cake just the way I like it. The bacon was perfectly crispy and was added with the grits for a meatier flavor. After I finished my breakfast and left for my next stop.

Homey confort food! Breakfast, lunch and dinner! Fireplace. Clean. Windows. Friendly staff, great service! Nice restrooms. Enter into a large yet cozy store area, offering attire, decor, traveling toys and games, munchies, gifts and more.

Food was delicious, staff were friendly. I had the fried chicken 🍗 with taters and sweet carrots. The sweet tea was the only thing lacking, wasn't very sweet this time, but otherwise everything was spot on

Fantastic experience. Jeremiah provided awesome customer service & deserves 10 stars! He was very polite, personable & even helped with my menu choice. My hubby was very impressed with the food & service as well. All the staff were pleasant & helpful, too. Would definitely visit again when we're in Gallup.

Awesome place for breakfast. The little boutique store has nice and interesting items too.

We visited the Cracker Barrel during a road trip through Gallup, NM on Hwy 40. Easy to get to and nice parking. The country store has a variety or treats, candies and home goods. The food is American comfort food but the shining star of this location was our waitress Lisa. She was amazing. So nice and helpful. I was having trouble with the menu because I did want a large portion of food and she helped me pick a perfect amount of food. She checked on us often and was friendly and personable throughout our time there. If I lived closer to Gallup, I would eat here often just so I could sit in her section. Thank you Lisa! You made our visit very memorable!!!

We had spent Christmas Eve here for lunch before heading out of state. They had us seated quickly, and the wait staff was amazing, especially working on a busy day. Our experience was exceptional, and we look forward to eating there again.

Had good scrambled eggs fried eggs toast sausage and coffee was okay very friendly service and a nice little shopping center in the front of it enjoyed it very much thank you

This was absolutely THE BEST location we've ever been to! Our server, Isaac P, was wonderful and attentive and all smiles. When he was "stuck" explaining the entire menu to our neighboring customers, another server, Adam, didn't hesitate to check to check on Isaac's tables. He, also, had the same great attitude. The food was hot and super tasty and the biscuits were the best we've ever eaten at a Cracker Barrel. This is the first location, in two years, that we were NOT told "we're out of that". We're traveling and the serving was so big, we had leftovers for breakfast.

All these years of eating Cracker Barrel, why have I not had the chicken tenders? They were way above any others. Tender, juicy, savory, tasty. I have a new fave!!

This was our first time having Cracker Barrel. We were traveling from Colorado back to California and stopped in Gallup NM or gas and food. The food was amazingly delicious and prepared perfectly. The service was great and friendly. It was a bit of a maze from the front door to the hostess station but everything else made up for that. We will definitely eat at Cracker Barrel whenever we are near one.

We went to Cracker Barrel for dinner last night. We both ordered the sirloin steak with various sides. Both steaks were cooked as ordered and were tender and delicious, not a bit of waste. All the sides were delicious as well, both plates were cleaned with no leftovers. I recommend Cracker Barrel. We'll be back!!

A busy Saturday, yet seated promptly!! We had the breaded country style fried pork chops & Sunday Fried chicken breasts. The breading is an absolute delight! Crisp-n-flaky, yet it doesn't fall apart. Warm Cornbread & biscuits melted nicely when real butter was place on it. Yum! 😋 They even got me more Gravy!!!

Food was great loved warm fire waitress was terrible staff acted like they were running in circle.

Waitress was terrible no utensils. No water no napkins had to get my own.

NO OMLETE REALLY THEY HAVE NO OMLETE AND ADVERTISING BREAKFAST ALL DAY.

Stopped here with my husband for a quick bite right before closing time. The staff were very friendly. Our food came out super quick and our waiter Cody was super awesome. 👌 never had better service. Definitely will be coming back here next time we stop. Thank you Cracker Barrel.

Lives up to what I come to expect from Cracker Barrel. Good food, good people & always clean. I like knowing the when I order I'm going to get consistency no matter what state I'm in. Robin was very polite & attentive with a very pleasant personality.

Tonight was our first visit to the restaurant and we will definitely return! Food was a great value and the variety was wonderful. The store is a lot of fun and prices are reasonable.

We went to the Gallup New Mexico location and there's a young man named Isaac 😉He is amazing and does such a good job. Excellent waiter material 💙

Good food and great service. We had the chicken fried chicken. It was quite good. Our server Vera was fantastic. She did a great job and was very friendly. Hopefully the manager reads these reviews.
