Really good Mexican food. Parking lot was full and google rating was high. Older place but updated. Fajitas and tacos were really good. Need to try something different in Gallop? Try DD’s You won’t be disappointed !

4 Days later and I’m back for taco Tuesday! So yes, it’s good here!

We stopped on a Route 66 Trip and knew we chose the right Mexican place when we tasted the salsa and chip. We loved our food - ordered Sopaipilla, Fajitas, taco salad and burger. It was nice that they has a variety for those who loved Mexican and others who preferred and America fare. The service was warm and friendly - unlike some of the other reviews we saw. We had

Delicious! Great food and wonderful service! The prices are very affordable and the portions are just right. We're just passing through, but will definitely make it a point to return on our next road trip!

We ordered the chicken tacos and it was great. The stuffed sopapillas were amazing. The owner even came out to us and asked if the food was good. The service was also really fast. The bill came and it was less than expected. Portions were very generous. Overall this restaurant is the best. We will be back!

This is my first time eating breakfast here at Don Diego's Restaurant. We arrived and it was sorta busy.we were seated ,ordered simple breakfast. They only have white,wheat bread. I wanted sour dough bread but,none. Everyone is 6 ft.apart the Atmosphere is comfortable ,music sounded great 😀..old school. I definitely coming back..stop on in and enjoy.

This place was so good! Bf and I were passing through. The food really hit the spot and gave us the energy we needed to complete our trip.

For fajitas this is definitely a contender for the best fajitas in the state. Flavors are 100%.
There is a lot of depth with the flavors, and the jalapeño side with sour cream really adds some nice spice and flavor and then the sour cream keeps it from being too spicy.

A great family experience as well. Looks to caters to all ages and very friendly as well.

We were traveling through New Mexico and stopped at Don Diegos’s Restaurant. I wanted a breakfast burrito. They offered one stuffed full of eggs, cheese, sausage, potatoes, and smothered in your choice of green or red chili. I chose green and it was amazingly good.

My wife has to eat gluten free (Celiac disease). Although they do not have GF options on the menu, Alex set her up with a veggie taco and steak/shrimp fajita meal that was wonderful! Alex knew exactly what he had to do to change up the dishes to make them GF.

Super helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend Don Diego’s. The staff went out of their way to show us great NM hospitality.

Tasty coffee and meal to accompany it. Country fried steak and eggs after a long morning drive . Hit the spot thank you. I appreciate the kindness extended to the homeless gentlemen in the pink coat. Made my day thank you. I'll be back for breakfast again.

Talk about good comfort food. The staff and atmosphere was sensational. Want good Mexican food? You can't go wrong. If you go away hungry it's your fault.

We were greeted at the door with a handshake and a welcome. Very friendly! The restaurant is clean and staff very helpful! We enjoyed our meal very much! Love that green chili !

In town on a Taco Tuesday, just for a day passing through and looking for good Mexican with an actual dining room, tequila, good reviews and close to our hotel. Kindof annoying but found that Don Diego’s ticked ALL the boxes. Extra bonus was that there were tons of locals and business folks (a good sign), we were seated almost immediately when we arrived at 630pm, good variety tequila and $6 shots, attentive waitress and very fast food even with a few keto diet substitutions requested. AND THE FOOD WAS LEGIT!!! I would’ve almost expected a flaw after all the rest going so well but nope, the food was delicious! Sorry I forgot to post a pic of the full menu. That would be good to have here. We had beef fajitas, added sides of one red and one green chile relleno, and Archies tacos. Thank you Don Diego!!!!

Everything about this place was great. I travel a lot and try to eat at local restaurants as much as possible. I know I was at the right place when I seen the parking lot packed and people parked on the street. I will definitely eat here again. I had the Fajitas and every part of the meal was delicious. The meats were juicy and the beans were spicy. Yummy.

Stuffed Sopaipilla and Green Chili Stew was really good! Quick service, good prices. Def be back!

I thought I had ate Mexican food before, but not until I ate here. This was the best, everything was fresh. I had pork carnitas it was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not overly. Would go back.

The food was delicious, and the service was great. We ate here for my husband's lunch break. Our waitress was very friendly and helped our 8 year daughter order what she wanted. My club sandwich was delicious, and my husband loved his number 1 combination plate. We would eat here again.

Food was really good at a fair price. The stuffed sopapilla was way more than i could eat, but I sure tried! My server was fantastic- attentive and seemed to always be there when I needed something without hovering. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and welcoming.

Food was excellent and lots of it. Love them Hatch peppers. Reasonably priced. Heard it was same family as Jerry's with the limited seating. Don's is a big place we had no problem being seated at noon, although, the parking lot was full. People must have been in the lounge. Ok, we got full and I took half mine back to the trailer for dinner tomorrow.
