The food is o good, like the bomb! We had the fried soup buns, which were fried to the perfect consistency. Nice and crispy on the bottom, soft on the top, and soupy and moist inside. The XLB were pretty large and filled with a lot of soup. Both are hot like lava on the inside when it hits your table so beware or you will scald your mouth! And the combination fried rice was excellent. Tasty and not all stick together like some places. You order through a QR code but pay the waitress. I’m going to say it’s a little expensive at $85 for two orders fried dumplings, two orders XLB, and one order fried rice. But it certainly is tasty.

Extremely delious Taiwanese food!
Ordering was easy, even is you don't know chinese - scan and use the QR code, which also has picture of all items.

I highly, highly recommend the Soup pan Fried Pork bun. When eaten fresh, they are full of soup (it slowly is absorbed by the buns, so don't let them cool too long!), so be careful when eating to not burn your tongue!.

The beef stone pot noodle is also a bit hit. Despite being a very clear broth, there is a small hit of numbing spice which it lovely. They also heat it up right for you with extra soup!

I will definitely be back again!

I've had this place bookmarked for a while and now that I live in the area, I gave them a try and wow this place will be in my regular rotation!

I had the meal to go and it was still fresh and warm. The pan fried soup dumpling was unlike others I have tried. Great texture crispy outside and soft inside with perfect amount of meat and soup inside. I also got the spicy beef soup and dunked some of the dumplings in the soup and it was delicious.

Inside looked nice and trendy, I'll definitely try dine in next time. Check this out!

Some of the best casual dining Chinese food I have ever had! The soupy pan fried pork buns are a must get. Everything looks and smells great. Look forward to working my way through the menu.

Honestly I had a great time. Surprised by the rating. The only drawback to me was the price. 4 of us spent about $130 after tax and tip. Granted we got XLB, pan fried buns, noodle dish, pig ear, green onion pancake, beef rolls, wood ear, and a stir fried lamb dish. So a lot of food (definitely at least 1 person's worth of meals for leftovers), but the quality was on point. Especially the XLB. I love beef rolls, but the ones here had too much sauce and were a little too sweet for me. Would come again but maybe not buy as much or at least not as many appetizers next time haha.

Still a great place to enjoy a delicious experience. My second visit and I love everything we ordered. Highly recommend the (veggies) green beans and bok choy with portobello mushrooms. And their pork buns are perfectly steamed. The won ton soup is mild and delicious, complimenting your dinner as a starter or main course. The snowflake spicy dumplings were a little burnt but that only added to the flavor! Clean restrooms (gender neutral x2) and friendly staff. The service was fast and we never felt rushed even during the dinner rush on a Friday. We spent over $120 plus 18% tip. Well worth it for the experience. Can't wait to come back to try more dishes.

Dreaming about the day I can go back already…actually planning a visit for this weekend already even though this place is 40 minutes away.

But seriously, this spot has the best beef rolls I’ve found anywhere in the bay. The wrapper is just so flakey, yet so delicious, and the meat is perfectly flavored, and the vegetables are a perfect balance of crunch and refreshed to this delicious goodness. Oh man, I’m drooling at the thought of her.

And those crispy soup dumplings- oh man. There are a few spots in sf that are comparable, but I love the proportion of breading to soup to meat at this spot. Their crispy dumplings are also filled…FILLED with soup. It’s a perfect crispy soup dumpling.

I also tried the noodles and cucumbers, but would probably skip those the next time I come back. I would rather try more of their dumpling/bao options for sure.

Ordering is basically all online. Sit, scan, pay, no need to talk to servers at all. Crazy. Nice ambiance, open kitchen concept and food is good. The eggplants can be better, I’ve had better. But the spicy ribs took me by surprise, very addicting. And who knew they can XLB bums too… that’s different

I drive across the Dumbarton just to get these dumplings for dinner. And if you've ever driven across the Dumbarton in the evening, you would understand what a commitment that is.

Not the nicest interior decor, or music, but love their other food as well, like the chili wontons.

The star of the show is their namesake dumplings though. They keep good vinegar and soy sauce and chili paste at the table. My recommendation is to bite off the top of the dumpling wrapper, pour a few drops of all the sauces in, then take another bite where you get the crunchy pan fried bottom bit, the juicy broth mixed with sauces, and tender meat, all in one bite.

Highly recommend this place if you are in the area. This place is already pretty popular if you search on Yelp, but man. Every dish I ordered was delicious, and most importantly affordable!

Woodear mushroom salad - perfect amount of sauce.
chili oil dumpling - if you want something spicy or numbing, get this
Sticky rice rib - new menu apparently. So worth ordering it! I’ve never seen sticky rice rib come out so much.
Pan fried soup dumpling - I I only had thin layer soup dumpling (Xiao long bao?) and never had such thing before and I’m a fan.
A bit oily but so good.
Beef scallion pancake - I could go back just for this dish. I wanna to go whole bunch of this and eat for every breakfast LOL

Their Soup Dumpling is one of the best I've ever had! I ordered three servings, and my son and daughter ate them all! The service was also excellent, very attentive. I like the waitress's smile... I'll go often, definitely!😍

I totally got the places mixed up so ended up here but so glad we did! You must order online and use the QR code in the store and not from the website. That'll get you a to-go order, which is exactly what I did! Over ordered but everything was really fresh and good. The crispy juicy buns were on point along with fried rice and XLB. So eggcited to try other goodies next time around. Tea is $3 FYI

Despite the limited amount of review, the food tasted really good! Much better than I expected.
The service was quite and better than many of other Chinese restaurants.
The pan fried dumplings were succulent inside and crispy outside. Defined worth a try. Will come back a time next time stopping by Newark.

Went here for lunch and my wife and I ordered a variety of dishes to sample. Ordering was done by scanning a QR code at the table and using an online menu.

The dishes were authentic to their original regions, the flavor was great, the portions were good sized, and the food was served extremely fast (even faster than Din Tai Fung), and with attentive service.

We've been to their location in Cupertino before and thought it was okay, but this location in Newark is run *much* better.

We'll be back for sure, and for anyone reading: this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Good place for casual meals. My fav is definitely the Pan Fried Dumplings (what they are named after). Some dishes, like the pig ear appetizer, has really small portion.

Really fast service and great food. Ignore the fact that the restaurant is decorated like a 80s disco the food is good and staff friendly, and isn't that why we go to a restaurant? Loved the spicy wonton (which is oddly translated as chili oil ravioli) and the XLBs are large and yummy. Their stirfry is also on point. Would recommend and come back again.

Service is excellent. XLBs are huge and juicy. Stone pot noodles are interesting. They prepare it table side. The soup is very good. Everything tastes fresh and just enough saltiness.

A bit on the expensive side though.

Order foods from here regularly, their sweet and sour pork is a must try, the taste is very authentic. Besides this place has many traditional northeastern Chinese foods, like boiled and fried dumplings, noodles etc. the service is really good and make you feel like home. Dining room is clean and spacious.

Good food selections. The pan fried dumplings are extremely hot, so be careful.
