Great breakfast at Richard Walker’s in Via de la Valle. We sat on the dog friendly patio and ate the Santa Fe French toast, banana pancakes, Turkey Pattie’s with eggs, and corned beef hash with a side of 3 buttermilk pancakes. Everything was delicious, and the service was very good with the food coming out quickly. In a nice shopping center you can walk around in after. Was a busy Saturday morning and didn’t need to wait too long without a reservation. Recommend!

The strawberry pancakes were very good. The strawberries were fresh. The Chocolate Explosion was also really good, but there could have been more chocolate. The raspberry crepes were alright, a little too sweet for my taste.

We decided to try Richard Walker’s Pancake House this morning for breakfast.
When we arrived we were greeted immediately and offered the patio or inside to dine. Once seated our waitress Jenna B. was there within minutes to give us the menu and go over their favorites.
We chose the Ham and Cheese omelette, which was oven baked with swiss cheese on the outside and a choice of toast or pancakes. We also ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado instead of meat, which came with hash browns. Everything was cooked to perfection, fresh and hot.

Richard Walker's Pancake House is a cafe in the Flower Hill shopping center in Del Mar. There are options to sit both indoor and outdoor, with both atmospheres being quite nice. There is a large selection of pancakes, waffles, omelettes, and other breakfast items. The staff is very friendly and attentive, while not being too overbearing. The corned beef hash is a favorite, as well as the strawberry waffle. Just be aware that a side of bacon can be a bit pricey. Overall, the experience is quite a nice place for breakfast, and is usually not too busy on the weekday, but the wait is not too bad on the weekends.

Fresh coffee served with heavy cream is a great way to start any SoCal day. The servers are amazingly attentive and your meal is never rushed. The waffles with SoCal strawberries and sliced banana with warm real maple syrup are a delight to the eyes and the palate. Richard Walker’s is a must for breakfast lovers.

Found this restaurant while wandering around and it turned out to be a really great find! Ordered the Dutch baby and the Mushroom oven baked omelet and both were great! Service very friendly too.

A great place to start your day with breakfast here. They serve up one of the best breakfasts I've had in Southern California.

Before making our way back to L.A. decided to stop by and give their breakfast a try. I ordered their corned beef hash which was amazingly delicious the way they prepared with onions and grilled it to a devine crispy perfection of their very own. Along with a side of Hash browns 2 eggs over easy and a glass of freshly squeezed OJ, completed my meal.

My wife ordered the same just with 2 scrambled eggs and a side of wheat toast which was accompanied by whipped butter, and a raspberry jelly.
Our daughter ordered their chocolate pancakes with a side of bacon.
Everything was delicious and our server was extremely attentive.

Service was excellent and friendly.
Clean and organized.
Once again I could give them 10 🌟s, however will with a glad heart drop 5🌟s for this review.

Amazing spot for baked goods and breakfast, I think we found our favorite local spot for pancakes. The Granny Smith Apple Cakes with Pecans added were incredible. Coffee excellent, host forgot the bacon.. so couldn't opine on that, maybe next time. They have a birthday cake cake for kids, but Jasmine said it tasted like bread and not that great, so probably won't order that again. Still the experience was near perfect and the service was wonderful.

We came in from KC for the long weekend and visited the Del Mar location. Everything we ordered was amazing! Cesar is a pro! He was the only server on when we came in, and he juggled serving 5 tables upon opening, then more came walking in and he didn't skip a beat. Y'all had the best bacon outside of the midwest I've ever had! My kiddo ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and I had an omelet with hashbrowns and bacon. The presentation and food quality/quantity was more than what we were expecting for the price. I'm a server at an upscale midwestern restaurant and you dont get this kind of great food and service very often, anywhere. Awesome restaurant experience!

Place has some of the best hashbrowns around. I ordered a santa fe omelet, pancakes, eggs and a strawberry crepe. Every item was cooked perfectly. The eggs were nice and fluffy. The bacon was crispy and delicious. Definitely worth trying out.

It's been a long time since I ate pancakes. So I went to Richard Walker's for a late lunch, and was surprised they were open and still serving food (it was after 2PM). Great selection of breakfast and lunch items on the menu. I tried 3 pancakes with 3 toppings (blueberry, strawberry, fermented cherry...all homemade fresh and tasty). My daughter had avocado toast, which was nothing special. Great iced tea. Ate outside in the warm sun. We decided to walk a couple of miles at Torrey Pines beach after such a big meal. Can't beat Richard Walker's pancakes and a brisk walk on to the beach.

Always our go to place for breakfast when we are in San Diego. We like this location more than the other 3. The service here is always friendly and accommodating, and our food comes out fresh and in a timely manner.

You can’t go wrong with the German Pancake. It’s pretty large, so me and hubby share, but we order some eggs and bacon al a carte to complete it. For our 4 yr old, we have ordered the one, two, three! or the chocolate chippies for my daughter, and while they are good, she doesn’t really eat anything other than the eggs. And you can’t go wrong with the nice fluffy eggs here. So now we just order her some type of egg breakfast. I like the coffee here, but my husband doesn’t.

Nice breakfast in a cute little area. Felt very welcoming with a young child. Almost all the food was really good. The eggs benedict was fine but I would probably get something else if I went back.

Open Christmas morning! Awesome food, similar menu to original house of pancakes. Dutch baby, crepes and avocado toast were awesome. Service was also excellent.

The food is usually really good and not pretentious. Perfect eggs, bacon, hash browns. No parsley on plates and lip stick...just good food.
