Top notch experience. First time eating here and definitely not the last. Stopped in on a Friday and had a 30-minute expected wait before seating. Turned out to be about 20. Time for a round at the bar. Not unexpected and not bad for a Friday in Wisconsin. Same owners here as the Hale House, I believe, so we expected the food to be good and were not disappointed. Oddly, none of us had the fish fry (which looked good as they went by), but the short rib melt, the crispy chicken sandwich and my wine-o burger were all delicious and polished off in short order. All the staff here were superb. Attentive but not overbearing and with a great sense of humor. Beer selection was decent and prices were fair. Parking was dicey. Looks like it could get full at peak times. Was very busy the whole time we were there but it felt like they were used to it and coped well. If you're anywhere in the area and looking for a great place to eat, look no further. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant! At first, I thought I was lost because the location of the restaurant is in a residential area. The food was very tasty and the service was above and beyond. This is a friendly environment and great to watch sports too! They had several flatscreen tv’s throughout the restaurant / bar area.

One of the best burgers I've ever had. They are open late and serve food late, which is nice. Really cool atmosphere and the employees always seem happy. So much that they hang out there in there free time. I've ordered take out and been out in 10 minutes and I've rented a bar stool for more then 6 hours. I've taken my elderly relatives, co workers and party animal friends here on many occasions and they all have loved it. It is truly my local go to spot. Also Kelly is a awesome bartender. She always remembers us and keeps us coming back.

This was a perfect place to meet a friend for lunch. Our food arrived hot and our server was gracious and pleasant. We felt no need to hurry but we're able to longer and enjoy a good visit with one another. It was my first visit to The Local but it won't be my last. Be careful, though, as you may miss it because, at first glance, it looks like a house! BTW, the fries are outstanding!

Phenomenal place off the beaten path. Burgers are the best I've had in a long time. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Cool vibe inside. I look forward to coming back and trying more of their delicious food. The entire menu is a foodie's delight!!!!

Second visit to The Local good as the first. Great food good service lots of beer. Smash burgers are some of the best you can find. Juicy, seasoned and delicious! Crab Rangoon pizza was full of unique flavors. Good hot chicken sandwich. Not the biggest seating area so waits are possible during peak hours.

Found this place on a Google search while in the area. It was high rated so decided to give it a try. Everyone in my group loved their food. Portions are large and they don't skip on the meat in the Reuben. I wish I lived closer.

Best pizza in the area. Best burgers in the area. Best cheese curds anywhere. Atmosphere is awesome. Every time I've been in, staff has been GREAT. It's one of the best places I've been to; not just in the area but throughout all my travels and different states I've lived in too. Kudos to The Local.

Date of visit 3/26/21, our first visit. Small wait for a table so we had a couple of old fashionds. Try the Elijah Craig old fashioned, very good, mulled in the glass. They also have a nice selection of locally brewed draft beers. When we were seated we had the cheese curds for starters, very good, lightly breaded and a tasty dipping sauce. We then had the cod fish fry. Excellent, lightly breaded. Generous portions. Served with creamy coleslaw and your choice of fries, chips or salad. Our server Jamie was excellent and very attentive. We will definitely be back, next time we are going to try the pizza.

We stopped here on a whim, while passing through town for the umpteenth time. Holy cow am I glad we did.

We got the last order of Wisconsin Sushi (ham, cream cheese and pickle deep fried) and were blown away! We also ordered the Local burger, and let me just say I believe I had the same out of body experience Remy describes in the beginning of Ratatouille. Simply spectacular! All of the ingredients are in perfect balance for an amazing meal.

Fried are delicious, I can certainly recommend the fantastic cole slaw too.

The Local will definitely be on our frequent list from now on!

The service was excellent. One of the best baked cods we have ever had and the fried cod was great as well. Fries were much better than the patato pancakes... but overall a great Friday Fish Fry. Our server Tasia was fantastic. In this post-covid era where good service is getting harder to find, we aren't surprised the Local has some of the best to go with the wonderful food and (from my wonderful lady) excellent drinks.

BBQ APPLE wings were in my top 3 wings I've ever had. The Sconnie burger was top tier and the pretzel with everything bagel bream cheese was incredible. I'd GLADLY go here again

Today was my wife and I's first time giving The Local a try. We were NOT disappointed! In fact, we were smiling the entire time.

We loved how they had the place decorated. Even the board they use to give you the check was a nice little touch. Just a great atmosphere altogether.

Tasia was our waitress and she is absolutely amazing at her job. Super friendly and amazing to everyone equally. Service was beyond expectations.

Compliments to the chef and the person(s) who thought up this menu! The cheese curds are the best I have ever had. They have a ranch and chipotle ranch sauce that they make. If you aren't a fan of Ranch, try this one. You might just become a fan because it was spectacular! If you leave this place still hungry, that's because you overeat, which is very very unhealthy. ;)

I tried the Reuben sandwich and decided to get a side salad instead of fries. Why is the side salad even impressive and so incredibly delicious?! They are not shy with their proportions either! perfect pile of meat, sauerkraut and sauce!

If you haven't tried this place, do it. You won't be disappointed (unless you are an unhappy person...then, nothing will make you happy anyway so you should probably stay away and not ruin the good vibes).

Stopped here for the first time tonight when a nearby favorite establishment had a wait. Service here was TOP NOTCH. We were greeted by numerous staff within moments of entering and got situated at the bar. The drinks were cold & the bartender attentive - even comping a drink when he got distracted by some needy patrons for too long. The gesture didnt go unnoticed! Excellent food and environment. Got the cheese curds, steak & bacon wedge salad (pic half eaten) and the husband enjoyed his tri-tip sandwich w/side salad. Bathrooms are shockingly clean and the entire place has a fresh feeling. We will be back!

Excellent all the way around! We were rushed for time, and we were served the hot chicken and the short rib sandwich amazingly fast. Both were excellent and we look forward to going back!

We tried The Local for the first time and absolutely loved the food. The cheese curds, I prefer to call them cheese puffs, are so buttery and practically melt in your mouth. We tried the buttermilk chicken and a special sandwich that day. Both were excellent. The craft beer selections were numerous and the service was very good. We would highly recommend the restaurant!

We had a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, which was pretty hot, and a bang bang chicken wrap, that was pretty good. It was busy, and it's not a very big place. The service was very good!

Great experience. Not busy on a Saturday for lunch. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Sandwiches and burgers are HUGE. The buffalo wings and apple bbq wings are VERY good. Ordered nachos for the table...ginormous! And so good. Easy to find using your GPS.

Oh my goodness, absolutely THE best burger i have had in a very long time. Absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff and patrons. We will definitely go back as the menu changes often.
