Lofty Coffee Solana Beach Cafe

I love this place! That is the salted caramel latte, and it was amazing along with the avocado toast :-) next time I will add an egg to the avocado toast! I also had the most wonderful buttery croissant I have had in my entire life it didn’t even make it to the picture😁 and my partner had that açai bowl and that was epic!!

Lofty Solana Beach has a great atmosphere and lots of tables and bar stools to hang out or meet a friend. Won't go to Starbucks but love to support the smaller coffee shops that brew up some great pour overs and speciality coffee and teas. This coffee shop also has a food menu and everyone we saw had some great looking plates. Also dog friendly, see my picture of the dog next to us waiting for some treats :)

The line was to the sidewalk when we arrived but moves quickly. The service representative was so helpful and cheerful. And the coffee was wonderful. I had the salted caramel latte. Superb. Not overly sweet and you can taste the coffee. Highly recommend.
Retuned the second day and ordered the same salted caramel latte. Excellent.
Beware: The Aztec mocha (pictures on the right) looks innocent and unassuming. But that first sip! Wowzer! Hits you in the back of your throat. Not for everyone. Definitely an acquired taste.

Incredible cafe with excellent espresso and cappuccinos. Had some of the best donuts I’ve ever tried. Croissants were also exceptional. Love this place. Baristas here are very well trained.

I had their version of a Mexican Mocha; 5.0, call off the dogs, the hunt is over! That was the best MM yet. Caliente!

I have always enjoyed their specialty coffees as well. I enjoy the ambience of the place. Wonderful staff…. Good food for what it is.

Great little coffee place for coffee, breakfast, brunch or lunch. Coffee was great. Bakery items are freshly made! Seating in the covered patio on three sides and it has parking for the customers!

As a coffee junkie, I can appreciate good coffee and this is not shy from being fantastic coffee. There’s so much about Lofty coffee that I appreciate. It’s a quaint coffee spot in downtown Solana Beach and has very great design element with such a great feel. Their coffee smells and tastes amazing. I will definitely be purchasing some of their coffee beans to try at home in my espresso machine. Our first time there, we tried their pumpkin cold brew which is pictured and it was amazing! It’s topped with crumbled graham cracker and compliments the drink well. We also tried their iced salted caramel latte which was good but I liked the pumpkin cold brew much more. If you’re in the Solana Beach area and live coffee, you HAVE to try Lofty coffee. You won’t be disappointed!!

I loved my spicy and sweet coffee and poached egg with turkey sausage and tomato with avocado. The atmosphere is very nice however I was a little cold since it was raining eventho the patio was covered and I was able to stay dry. I will definitely be back since I have a new office spae upstairs across the street . Love the area.

High quality coffee with unique flavor combinations. This coffee shop has definitely improved in the five years since I was here last. On this trip, I went multiple times because it was so good. My favorite was the Cloudy with a Chance of Cold Brew, but everything we had there was good. I also love that you can walk with your coffee straight over to the beach and enjoy a good view with your coffee, but the shop itself is also a cute spot to hang out and enjoy the weather with all of their outdoor seating and shade sails.

Nice cafe in the heart of Solana Beach Design District. Good vibe. Staff very friendly and seem to love what they do.

Also great selection of coffee. They offer single origin with your latte so that’s always great. I had an Ethiopian for the day and it’s to my palates.

I came here with my parents for breakfast and had the Açaí bowl and the Aztec Mocha. Both are equally good. The Aztec Mocha has a kick to it which made the drink interesting and worth trying.

It does get crowded here so make sure to come early to get a table. The tables in the back and side can accommodate 3-5 people. They’re also dog friendly.

My local coffee shop. It has a great atmosphere, amazing people, delicious food and you never who you’ll meet there.

I’ve formed some great friendships and connections just by saying hello to the person sitting at the same table.

If your local you’ll also always run into someone you know.

I love coming here in the morning to sit, relax and get work done. It can get busy but the food is great, coffee and matcha always on point and staff is super friendly. A great setting to work but also to get up and take a walk too.

Located on Cedros in Solana Beach in the heart of the Design district. Popped in for an afternoon pick me up. Warm friendly staff greeted us and offered great recommendations on their pastries! Try the gluten free, Vegan Banana Apple muffin! It was delicious!

Came back for their espresso! Location is very nice with room to sit down. Try their morning dove blend. One of my top for a pour over. I need to come back and try those tower brews.

I love Lofty Coffee! This is my newest happy place. Their gluten free bread is amazing! The lattes are 👌 and they are known for their almond milk. The people are super friendly, the pups are the cutest and the atmosphere is perfection! I wish I could’ve taken Lofty Coffee home with me.

Great place for a coffee and a small bite on a Saturday morning. Food is a little expensive for what you get. Atmosphere is outdoors and very open. Nice place.

Had an excellent experience getting some coffee and small eats at Lofty this past weekend. Each of our espresso drinks were delicious and craftily made - their mocha is excellent! I got some simple toast with poached eggs as well that were great. This is the absolute perfect place to go on a relaxing weekend morning with some friends. Staff was super nice and helpful, and we'll definitely be back!

This is a really quaint cafe with a mellow vibe great coffee and for me today a chocolate croissant! A good place for me to take a break on my coastal bike ride. Life is good! UPDATE: Still great!
