We love using Gerardy photography! Ordering is easy to take care of online and the pictures come out great.
I had an issue with my order that was completely my fault. Their customer service reached out to me and resolved it quickly and painlessly.
I will be ordering again from them every time school pictures come around.
What an improvement over my experience as a kid! Multiple poses to choose from, better packages available and straight to home shipping.

Honestly, we are so happy with our preschool-aged son's portraits that we have no complaints. I couldn't even choose a favorite--all four poses represented my son perfectly.
They captured a genuine, bright, wide grin that has been elusive to me and my phone camera! How did they keep him from squirming? How did his hair remain perfectly groomed? I'll never know, but I'm thankful.

Also, like some other parents, we sought a different package than what we saw offered. Thankfully, speaking to a (kind, patient) human being still works and goes a long way. We called, asked if we could be emailed the digital files and about other options. The person on the phone was accommodating and helpful.

To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to think of any photography place taking my sons photos at his school. He does not sit still and has a hard time understanding some things. However, his photos came out amazing. He looks so happy in every single one of them. Bravo to Gerardy Photography for being able to get my son to sit still and smile. 😄

I’m not going to lie, at first I was very nervous about this place taking my sons school photos because of the reviews.
We just moved to Ca from MD back in April so we are used to the company LifeTouch over there, so when school photos were announced back in September and say who was taking the photos, I went ahead and looked you guys and I’m huge on reviews so immediately I was nervous but told myself to give them a chance before jumping ship. Well I did just that and I absolutely loved my sons pictures and the four different poses!!! Was a little bummed I couldn’t pick a different background but honestly I could careless about it because my boy looked so handsome. Can’t wait for my baby girl to start school next year and have her pictures taken!

The last two years, Gerardy has done a fantastic job photographing my child. She tells me that they provide a comb to help comb/style the hair before a photo and I love that. Her photographs have come out lovely. Her school yearbook shows lots of kids photographed beautifully as well. I can't comment on the prices as this is the second time ordering school photos from Gerardy and I have nothing to compare them to.

We are a large elementary school with over 700+ students, our portraits are beautiful and done in a timely manner, their photographers are always professional and nice. They offer a large array of custom items including some very nice certificates that I can create online easily, our parents love them and so do we. Customer service has always been top notch. We as a school are so glad to have Gerardy as our school photographer!

We have used Gerardy for the past 4 or 5 years and I have always been very pleased with the school portraits we have received! Even my kids who are on the shyer side have had wonderful pictures with them! This is a credit to the photographers.

Love their staff and their work!! I appreciate the picture postcard, that comes home with options to choose from. Great family owned company, with beautiful captures of my kids!

Ashley answered the phone quickly and I called just after they opened lol. She handled my problem immediately and was patient the entire time. The picture itself was the cutest I’d ever seen. My son is autistic and it’s hard to get him to do anything for a picture. He was smiling AND looking at the camera, which is a major accomplishment! Lost a star only because I initially didn’t receive my order, but it was quickly remedied. The picture was worth it. 🩷

Updated Review after working with Customer Service...

Our first order from Gerardy Photography in 2021 was great , and I had to work with customer service for our 2022 shoot.

***Customer service was nice, understood my complaint, and we came to an agreeable solution.***

The 2022 pictures Pose 1 and 4 were very similar, I confused them for identical. After working with Gerardy customer service, they explained there was a lack of variety for my son (my son was not cooperating for some pictures and those were discarded).

Gerardy Photography also took pictures of my toddler son with crumbs in his mouth. These crumbs did not show up in the proofs so it would have not been good if we ordered actual printed pictures (we only got the USB, and my wife knows Photoshop to fix this). I understand lunch/snack on the face is a risk for toddlers... but between the teachers and photographer, it would have been nice if my son's face was wiped. I m happy customer service offered to email me free touch ups.

Tip: Never pay for printed photos for a toddler without buying the touch-up package. Also, pay for touch-ups if you do not have someone to Photoshop :)

Other Thought: How are the high-quality digital photos less than 1.5MB!? My iPhone 8's *.jpgs are larger than this :P

So far the obly negative thing to say is that they do mot make an effort to "fix" kids hair or clothing.
And its better to just send portrait proofs instead of the whole package.

Photo packages are compiled in ways which offer very limited selections, especially with a heavy amount of wallet photos included that most deem unnecessary. If you try to avoid this, then you need to pay more than an entire packages worth to simply purchase less than half the entire package in the form of a la carte (to get not a bunch of wallets). So you are simply stuck buying an unreasonable package. Digital options are limited and start at $54. While they claim you can buy a single image, they for some reason choose to make it unavailable to you the consumer on their website, urging you to call only to be told you can't? And then you leave a review in which the owner tells you to "call" to buy your "single digital image." See the discrepancy? Providing more digital options would likely appease a number of customers, but there has been no update for years. A bit more consistency in which kids you tidy up before photos would likely help too.

Good quality photos- they manage to capture good expressions of the kids for school photos. I have never purchased a package simply because I don't want or need printed pictures. I would be happy to purchase a single digital image or collection of digital images for a reasonable price. Currently there is only an option to purchase a CD of 4 digital images with a bunch of other random "photo Fun Pak" stuff on the CD that costs $53.34. Why not make individual images available to purchase as a download?

Photos were good... but $51 for digital images only? Ridiculous. It's a shame they don't have a package that includes the digital images, even if the package is a little more expensive. Also, their website is horribly outdated and ugly. I wish there was an option to just download the high res images instead of just having to buy a CD or flash drive from them. As another person commented, this is a very wasteful practice.
