El Refugio Mexican Food

Love this place. Great food and nice service.

I decided to try this place after seeing a picture of a large platter of 50 tacos! I'm always looking for the best TJ style tacos out there and this place might just be my favorite. The service was great, the restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated, and of course all the food I tried was great from the tacos to the chips. The tacos run at about $1.50 each or you can order the large platter of 30 tacos for $50. I will definitely be coming back

Food is great!. I typically come here to day drink, play music on the jukebox, and have ceviche de camaron. It is definately a little hole in the wall location, which is perfect for someone who doesn't want to be bothered by a huge crowd. The service is also great. I recently discovered this place, but so far no complaints. Also is clean and bathrooms are also clean which is a plus.

Great place for food drinks and a good time, the tacos are real mexican style and taste fantasticas well as a great variety of food on the menue, besides the tacos i recomend " camarones costa azul". On Fridays, saturdays and Sundays they have karaoke night and its great fun if you go by yourself or with company, during the day its a great family atmosphere, the pricing is not bad at all, bathrooms are clean and spacious.
Even for first time visitors i highly recomend it, closing time is at 2am
