I was gifted a very special medal after my grandma passed away a couple of weeks ago and needed to get it reinforced since it's a 60+ year old piece of jewelry and the ring where the necklace goes through was thinning.

I looked all over San Diego to find the perfect place where they'll treat it with so much care since it's such a big piece for me, it's an heirloom.

I talked to Wayne, brought him the medal and he was super honest and explained to me what he was going to do to it, he was clear about the risks and possible outcomes after treating the medal but assured me he will take care of it and I'll be happy.

Something about his energy gave me the peace of mind that even if there's a risk for darkening he would do his absolute best to prevent it.

He put a hook where the new necklace could pass through and honestly he did magic. I can't even describe what he did because it feels like magic.

Well, what can I say? I cried when I saw the end result. He brought a 60+ year medal back to life!

I am so happy with the work I got done on my wedding band with BGS Jewelers. We bought my wedding band at an antique shop on Grand Ave, I have been looking for the perfect wedding band to match my engagement ring for at least three years now. The band was a size 7 and I needed to size up to 9. After going to several jewelers I finally found BGS Jewelers, I spoke with Maria who was so kind, patient, and very helpful with all my questions. She even was able to tell me the color and clarity grade, which no one else was able to do. Because of the style of the band she explained the process of how they would resize it. The price she quoted me was less than I was expecting to pay and it was ready in 24 hours! When I went to pick it up I got to meet and chat with the owner who is such a cool guy. I could not have asked for a better experience. They will be my go to jewlers for all my future needs.

I went to B&G Jewlers today to have the prongs on my wedding rings adjusted! They were so helpful, friendly, and fast. They adjusted my rings and cleaned them all too! I love knowing that they are honest w/me and go above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied!! I would recommend B&G to anyone who in is need of jerlwerly repair or wants to buy something and have an honest opinion or information when making a decision.

This place is awesome! I had a 10k hollow gold braclet I needed resizing. Macy's, where I got it, said it would need saudering and would take up to 3 weeks. BGS saved me by letting me know what I really had, and fixed it super fast, the same day with immaculate help and knowledge! I was curious about the value of one of my rings. I called around, and other shops were quoting me $80-$120 for an appraisal. When I called this shop, Wayne offered to take a look that same afternoon for free! He did an informal, yet pretty thorough inspection on the spot, and he even cleaned it up a bit! He gave me a very detailed explanation of what he believed it to be worth and why. I walked out with a bunch of valuable knowledge and without paying a single penny. I was so grateful for Wayne's time and genuine interest in educating me on my ring's features and value!

I wanted to sell jewelry by advertising on OfferUp, Craigslist, and Facebook. I first went to this shop for their assessment of the items, and to see what they would pay.

A lady came to the counter and looked at each item. She even did a few tests, and was informative about what was costume jewelry and what was valuable.

For a 14 karat gold rope chain, she stated what the shop could pay and suggested a higher price that I should ask, in my online ads. Initially, I tried a higher asking price online, but her dollar amount turned out to be about the average of the initial offers I received and was exactly what I received from the guy who finally showed up and bought the chain.

This place is the only jeweler I will EVER trust with anything I need done, my family has been going here for over 40 years. They will tell you straight forward what needs to be done and they do it right the first time. The ring I had brought in isnt fixable, so I will be needed a new set but they said they will make it look like the original. I can’t be more thankful for their help. If you need jewelry fixed or anything like that, this is the place to go. If I could I’d give them 10 stars.

Very nice people working here. I went in today to have a couple rings that are family heirlooms modified and cleaned, and the prices were very reasonable. So glad to have a shop like this in the neighborhood.

My wedding ring needed some repairs to the setting holding the small diamonds and the large diamond was reset into a new setting. The jeweler went the extra mile to make the ring look beautiful for me. I am very satisfied with his work. It is more beautiful than the day I bought it new. I would definitely recommend this business. A+++

After a few unfortunate mistakes by my regular jeweler (a well known shop in RB), I found myself looking for another jeweler closer to home in escondido. I am very pleased to say that the reviews for BGS are wonderfully accurate in their 5 star praise. Maria at the counter was professional and kind. The jeweler who made my repairs (a lost stone in my wedding band and a couple of rings sized up to fit) did a flawless job and quickly at that. The prices were reasonable and they took some old, broken gold jewelry and applied that to my purchase price. I will take any future jewelry needs to this lovely, local, small business. My family has been dealing with Wayne and his wife for years. Great people and always a pleasure to do business with them. They helped me through the process of matching the perfect stone and engagement band to propose to my fiancé (now wife). We even bought our wedding bands through them and we couldn’t be happier. I was looking for an experienced jeweler to find a unique and non-traditional engagement ring. I wasn’t sure what that would be but I knew I didn’t want to be told what I need by.a chain jewelry store. Wayne spent time with me to talk about options and my vision. I was there today for the appraisal offer (ask about what it is). He told me I had gems in my heirloom rings I had never heard of before. His expertise helped to guide me as to what price I should ask for the jewelry I wish to resale. They have taken care of all my jewelry for the last 20 years. The owner is awesome and goes out of his way to make sure I'm happy. I recently had a 50 year old wedding band that used to be my father's. 25 his 25 mine. crack from years of abuse bobs did a great job fixing it. But I was not 100% happy. So they used my gold and rebuilt my ring better than I could have ever dreamed. They did this to make sure I was happy with my ring. Happy is an understatement. Thank you

I went to BGS looking to repair my wife’s ring. I didn’t (still don’t) know anything about rings. Wayne was very patient and gave a lot of information. He went above and beyond on the repair and cleanup and delivered quicker than expected. My wife and I are very happy with the result.
