Ordered delivery of Isle of Harris gin and delivery to the East Bay was very quick. This was my first trial order but I will definitely be a regular customer. This gin is simply unavailable elsewhere and highly recommended btw.

K&L Wine Merchants is in a class with (locally) Kermit Lynch and Arlequin. Along with a comprehensive inventory, their sales associates are knowledgeable and motivated. They also offer expertise and advice in depth via their website and customer support. The fact that they have succeeded in an extremely competitive market, and have done so by means of service and value for money is itself a strong recommendation.

A magical place with incredible selection, knowledgeable and friendly employees, and a website that actually has accurate stock counts and product descriptions! Just a warning that what is on display is barely a third of what they have available for purchase, so scan the qr codes or visit the site especially if you're looking for spirits!

Can’t say good enough things about this team! Today’s my birthday and I had a pick up and while riding the train also found a few additional bottles on their site that I was hoping to pick up. Once they started my pick up, I let them know the bottles I was hoping for and everyone ran in different directions to help find everything… They were faster than a Formula One pitstop team! I was in and out in just a few minutes and got back ion the train that I thought I was 100% going to miss. They saved me an hour which really meant a lot to me. And obviously amazing inventory of so many different bottlings from around the world. Superb!

Great deals on excellent wine from around the world. Especially to get great deals on "sleeper" wines of great quality from regions at lunch lower cost than the big famous wineries. Their newsletter is a wealth of information on wine in general, and notice of great deals they have. My favorite place to get wine other than direct from winery, but they cover the whole world.

I love this place... the staff is awesome & super helpful. They give great suggestions... the only time I had an issue, they went up & beyond to fix it.... on their instances. Great to see great customer service still exist. They don't push you to spend a ton (but if you are like me & husband you will fill your basket) & have interesting stuff (and they know there stuff).😋

I spend entirely too much money here on spirits, but that's because the value is great and the selection is expertly documented. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and their spirits buyer is always finding interesting and rare bottlings.

My first experience with K&L began in 1979. I was a roadie on tour and we had played the Cow Palace, slept on the bus after the show and started heading south when we realized we had no beer. A full page newspaper ad for K&L prompted us to detour a bit and about noon we pulled the bus up front and a bunch of tired, smelly roadies invaded the store. What I remember is one sales person who kept telling us they had a special deal on Lowenbrau, a beer that was forbidden on our bus. Instead we got our 8 cases of Heineken, 4 quarts of Jack and headed on our way.
I settled in this area many years ago and started regularly ordering my French and high end California wines from K&L and was never disappointed. Top quality, helpful staff. Always.
During the pandemic I had a clean up day and started going through all the boxes of papers and other tour memories and to my amazement found that same full page K&L ad from 1979 that sent us there the first time. I had to wait a bit for the store to open for customers again and when it did I ordered online and went in to pick it up bringing the 40 year old newspaper with me. I gave it to the staff to keep and while I was telling them the road story an older staff member said "I remember that morning. We just opened up for the day and that was me." Too long ago to remember faces or names but still a good laugh. I hope they framed the ad. Thanks for all the great booze over the years K&L. Great store, GREAT STAFF! Always.

This is an excellent shop! They are known for an amazing wine selection, but I love them for their liquor and beer selections. I have gotten some hard-to-find whiskeys here before. Also, they carry such a wide variety of beers that I can always find something new to try. You can't go wrong stopping by here and picking something up. Fair prices as well, which makes it that much easier to walk away with a handful of stuff.
