A really nice coffee shop with ample seating inside and outside.
The staff is really nice and friendly.
We ordered Dirty chai , Iced Latte , Cafe Mocha and a few breakfast items (egg bacon , croissant) which were really good.

I had this place saved on my list to check out and finally made it there today. I tried a hot Mexican Mocha and a blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese. My first impression was great, because the customer service was amazing. I spoke to the ladies at the register and let them know it was my first time there, they welcomed me and answered my questions. My drink was divine, it was a perfect blend of Mexican Hot chocolate and espresso. A lot of places leave this drink grainy, but this one did not have any of that. My bagel was nice and warm with the perfect amount of cream cheese. I think I have found another go to spot.

What can I say about this place that hasn't been said by everyone. The service is always with a smile, the drinks are delicious, and it's just a cute neighborhood coffee shop.

If pressed for a complaint, the only thing I could say is they close too early 🤣🤣🤣

If you're looking for a pick me up, give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Every December my family and I drive from Amarillo to Escondido. 8 years in a row our of 12 this place has been our first stop. Coffee is great. Atmosphere is good, energy is FANTASTIC! If you want the full customer service, take it from 6 people who drive 1,078 miles and the first stop is here! If that doesn’t tell you something about them, I don’t know what will. Will be there in a few days, will repost pictures for all to see how great they are!

Best secret of Escondido and completely worth the drive. The coffee is amazing. Staff is friendly making you feel like family. The earlier you go the better so you can snag the amazing pastries Dor and the Blue Mug team acquired from Glutenus Maximus. Tell them its your birthday for some birthday love. 🎂☕🥐🫖

Had the Pepper Jack breakfast sandwich with the aoli side and it was delicious!

First time here and always have to try a Mexican Mocha, as a test to compare to my Abuela's 🤣 I was not let down and it tastes great, not overly sweet either as some are.

The location is quiet and relaxed, plenty of seating inside and out. The staff is attentive and friendly!

Recommend and will be coming back for the orange peel Mocha!

Came in for the first time and asked the girl to surprise me with an ice drink and it is delicious! This little coffee shop has amazing employees. The girls all knew their coffee and what was good. She even checked to see if the milk they had was sugar free for my sisters drink. Thank you ladies for amazing coffee.

Busy, lots of kids and people of all ages. Outdoor and indoor seating, good wifi, and the americano is 👍🏾👍🏾 would like to see some vegan food options (there is an açaí bowl). All gender restroom.

I’ve been a regular here for a long time - both prior to moving away to university and after coming home ❤ the team at blue mug has always been so sweet and the quality of the food and drinks is absolutely unmatched. My partner Kyle and I are so grateful to the blue mug team for always providing us with a great start to our day. They take care to remember our orders which means so much to us! We feel at home when visiting here and all the baristas are so kind and welcoming (despite me being so socially anxious at times haha!) ❤ The Espresso here is one of the only espressos I can drink without sweetener when I brew at home, but when I visit I love to have a white mocha latte with oat milk and whip! It’s perfect every single time. I will forever stand by the statement that this is the best coffee shop!

Dang, talk about customer service. These guys are different, something special. They care about their customers and they look like they really enjoy their jobs and enjoy each other. This is so refreshing. It’s not just a coffee you’ll be getting here, you’ll be made to feel like family. The coffee is great too! Great indoor and outdoor seating.

I’ve tried different coffees and teas here and every time, it’s amazing! Seating inside and outside. It’s very busy Saturday & Sunday AM but I can always find a spot to sit.

Looking to move to the general tri-city area and was happy I decided to stop here today. Fresh baked goods, wonderful drink selection (but not overdone with options), and friendly folks.

I got Steph's Special and it was perfectly made (I've tried to do similar at home, only it came out questionable at best). So they get my stamp of approval!

They are so nice at Blue Mug! I recently moved to the area so i walk here from time to time to get a drink or maybe a bagel. Their drinks are excellent. I usually have a Spiced Chai Latte with oat milk and it is delicious. My sister usually opts for a Mexican mocha when she has exams or needs the extra shot of energy in the mornings. Highly recommend!

Great local coffee shop. Met up with family and hung out for quite some time enjoying the coffee and the company. The staff is courteous and pleasant to chat with. The coffee is wonderful. If in the area I would definitely recommend stopping in.

This place doesn't fail to deliver. I'd say service here is 100x better than the coffee chain we all know about. No matter how busy or slow, each team member is smiling, talks to you like a person while looking you in the eyes, it's a very genuine interaction. They have interesting drink combinations, which are all very good. I have not been disappointed yet, thank goodness. They tend to get busy on the weekends. We got 2 drinks and my husband waited about 15m, well worth the wait, and the staff makes up for the wait as well.

It was a wonderful place I would never have noticed if I hadn't taken a wrong turn. Would love to come back next time I'm in the area. Orange peel mocha was delicious! They have some merchandise that they were genuinely happy to sell to you. I love this place after just 1 visit. New favorite coffee shop in the area. Staff was very kind and easy on the eyes, though I won't be a judge for the male staff members. Plenty of seating.

This is another excellent coffee shop. The staff was very nice and were working efficiently getting orders out quickly.

The espresso itself was very pleasant with good flavor and well balanced.

There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors and the interior chairs are quite comfortable. Wi-Fi speed is 45mbps making this a great place to work or study.

Changing my review to 5 star , just found out yesterday its under new ownership. Really love the new owner. He's really nice and helpful and so was his employee. Didn't get her name but she was very nice . Coffee was very good.
