Sushi Bar Blue Fin

THE BEST. No need to consider any other establishment. I don’t eat sushi anywhere else. After having lived in Japan for years, my sushi expectations are beyond high and Blue Fin satiates my fiercest of cravings. Chef Daisuke is a happy, sweet, skilled sushi master. Cheers him a beer when you’re there.
They get quite busy so not a bad idea to make a reservation.

They should be 5 star. All our fishes were fresh and amazing. service was excellent. We loved our server, Michelle. My favorite sushi place in North County now!!

The food here just makes you happy, it’s so good hard to describe. Great value for the money. So authentic and the chef is so kind. It’s like eating in a friends’ kitchen. I’ve been coming here for years.

Food is excellent but never order anything online unless you want to pay a huge mark up. I ordered online with the option "no service fee" on the order link, for a take out order I personally picked up at the restaurant. When I got there I was handed this paper. Lessons.

Sushi chef puts on a show if you sit at the bar. Great sushi, scallops are fresh from Japan. Reservations recommended. Our new favorite sushi spot.

Our regular sushi restaurant. Not an overpriced hipster place with fancy sounding mediocre quality food. This is the place you go for a great local meal. The blue fin roll is an amazingly fresh one to try.

Blue Fin is one of the best sushi bars in North County. They have a balanced blend of traditional dishes and plenty of their own creations---all of which are delicious. Their ingredients are fantastic while somehow managing to keep prices reasonable.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, while the facility is spotless. There's a lot of "love" put in each of their dishes, so the food comes out at a reasonable pace, but a little patience is necessary. As for the pandemic, they do a fantastic job of packaging their food for takeout. Each takeout order includes all the essential sauces, sides, and accessories.

An important note: over time, their food, menu, and service have improved a lot. Greatness takes time, so if you tried them in the past and haven't been back, I'd suggest giving them another chance. You won't be disappointed.

I'm a big fan of their Happy Roll, Soft-Shell Crab Roll, and tempura.

The meal exceeded my expectations, as a sushi aficionado this meal curbed my cravings at least for the day. The seafood was fresh and the employees were happy, easy going and hosted a welcoming environment. I will go back again

Authentic Japanese Sushi and cuisine!! Daisuke is A true Sushi master from Japan! The servers are very friendly! My favorite sushi is “Classic roll”!! Don’t forget to order the oysters too!! Thank you so much for your amazing service and sushi!! This place is one of the best sushi restaurants in San Diego! Highly recommended!!

Such an amazing staff and authentic sushi. Everyone was happy and so kind. The menu was expansive and delicious. The tuna was buttery.

This is far and away the best sushi we’ve found in north county. The freshest fish, authentic Japanese chefs and preparation. We miss our weekly visit to the sushi bar but take out is excellent too! Support our local businesses and give Blue Fin a try. You won’t be disappointed.

One of our long time favorites! Daisuke (Dice) carries on in Sam's tradition. Great variety of fish from Japan always super fresh and reasonable for the quality. Happy to support this establishment. Dine at there bar with Daisuke.
