Thyme In the Ranch

This is my daughter’s and my special place to visit whenever I visit her in San Diego. Their foods are always freshly and carefully prepared and their pies and cakes are absolutely out of the world class❣❣❣

I love Thyme, and their kind staff. The baked goods, lunch items and coffee drinks are so delicious. I love the tuna sandwich and soup combo they have. Sometimes I order a latte and muffin too. I don't recommend this area to meet nice people other than the ones working there (rancho Santa Fe). No offense.

The food is designed to make you older. Flour, Sugar, sauces. The staff is lovely! Service is perfect.

Love the place perfect for a morning or afternoon snack ir sandwich. Love the shop in an old house surrounded by beuatiful flowers and plants. The cookies, loaf cakes and macaroons are all delicious. Coffee could be better.

Update May 2023 : Still loving it. The food and the ambience are awesome. Loved the salads. Love the indoor and outdoor seating. The flowers outside are gorgeous.

I wanted a few pieces of cake for my birthday and this didn't disappoint. So delicious and made in the very dangerous way of not too sweet unfortunately allowing you to eat all of it! Also grabbed a croissant.

The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes. The service was excellent too, making it a delightful visit overall. Can't wait to return!

Very unique Cafe that has a great lunch menu and alot of large bakery items. The prices come with the area but the portions are large. Plus they have a lot of crafts for sale in the dining area

What a special place! Wonderful warm ambiance inside with the fireplace on this morning, and cozy covered front porch too. Really adorable gifts, too. Their quiche lorraine is fabulous.

Fresh and delicious. This is my favorite lunch spot. I keep going back for the tarragon chicken salad on croissant with a side salad but it depends on what is on the menu for soups. Their soups are not to miss! The atomsphere is quaint and casual. There is a selection of modern farm household items to shop while you wait for your order. I never leave without getting a sweet treat, there's so many good ones to pick from it's hard not to buy two treats. A must for lunch!

It's such a great place for lunch. Tried the soup, sandwich, and pie- all very good!

The service was great, and the food was excellent. If you're in Rancho Santa Fe, stop by and enjoy their food.

We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. We found it on another review website and decided to try it out. I'm glad we did.

We sampled a few dishes while there. One in our party had an egg salad with sprouts on a baguette. While our kid didn't appreciate the sprouts, it was a very good sandwich. The egg salad was pretty perfect. Not too much mayonnaise and not too much mustard. It was fresh and delicious.

Another kid in our party ordered the fruit salad. It was impressive. The bowl had melons, berries, and looked delicious. I did not try this, but the whole bowl was devoured by our very picky child. So, I would call that a win.

My spouse ordered a smoked salmon on a plain bagel with cream cheese and capers. I sampled this and was surprised at how delicious it was. While I would have preferred it on an everything bagel, which they offered, this is not what my spouse prefers. I would order this again.

I ordered a steak dip with pasta salad. I enjoyed the pasta salad a lot. I liked the steak dip, but this was the weakest link of our order. I would not likely order this again. I say that because their menu while limited offered a lot of options. I would rather try something else that also looked delicious.

Love this place. Good sandwiches, quiches, soups, salads, muffins, cookies and more. Talented and gracious owners and great staff. Beautiful rustic and flowery interior with a few tables and a nice porch with a few more.

Lovely lovely lovely! Cozy and well decorated for the holiday. I would grab a drink, sit down to pack all the holiday gifts (with cookies and cuties from the shop) right inside. Plan for couple hours. The bakery are amazing too.

Can't imagine a better breakfast experience. So good. So charming. Great people. Get a slice of quiche and a double cappuccino.

Keeley at Thyme in the Ranch is an absolute lifesaver! I contacted Keeley and the amazing team at Thyme in the Ranch while being out of town and in a time crunch, and they went above and beyond to meet our needs. Despite our short notice, Keeley crafted a stunningly delicious cheesecake for our grandmother's 85th birthday celebration. She graciously extended their usual 48-hour policy notice to accommodate our order. Keeley's promptness, kindness, and professionalism were truly remarkable, reflecting the exceptional service provided by Thyme in the Ranch and their commitment to serving their customers and community. The cake they did at helped make our day, and celebration for our Abuelita, special which was exactly what our family needed while going through a rough time. Thank you Keeley and thanks to the staff at Thyme in the Ranch. We can't wait to come back!

This place makes all of their own from scratch from muffins, to pies, to cakes, to scones, to brownies .... the list goes on. Take a peak in the kitchen on an early morning weekday and you’ll see several bakers making their sugary confections.

I love the soups as they alway have a vegetarian option.
The tuna is always fresh and I can't wait till Christmas Time because the gingerbread man cookies are simply the best soft chewy and not full of sugar .

Very delicious! I got the avocado toast and let me tell ya, it was tasty. The breakfast sandwich also looked bomb af although I didn't try it, and the pastries were apparently very delicious also, again didn't try them but I wish I had! The service was also amazing, a gentleman named Hunter took care of us and was so friendly and helpful! Took great care of us, he should get a raise!!10/10, great atmosphere, great food, impeccable service, just a really nice quaint little place!

I’ve been coming here for over a decade. Everything tastes just as wonderful as the first time I tried it. Be sure to snag a white chocolate toffee cookie and an espresso brownie. The Espresso brownie is the perfect midday treat for an energy boost.

Also, their salads are incredible. I love the tomato tuna salad. It comes with break and fruit and a delicious mustard dressing. It’s a large portion and it can last me two meals! I’m so grateful that this place has been a neighborhood staple for all of these years! ❤❤❤
