I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my best friend David's birthday at The Craftsman Tavern, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The Craftsman Tavern exudes warmth and charm from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a celebration. The staff greeted us with smiles and made us feel like part of their extended family.

Now, let's talk about the food and drinks. The menu at The Craftsman Tavern is a culinary delight. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one of them was a gastronomic masterpiece. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was top-notch. David, the birthday boy, couldn't have been happier with his choice of venue.

The drink selection is equally impressive. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the beer and wine choices were excellent. It's evident that The Craftsman Tavern takes pride in its beverage offerings.

But what truly stood out was the impeccable service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure that we had everything we needed to make David's birthday celebration unforgettable.

The Craftsman Tavern has certainly become a favorite spot for me and my friends. It's a place where you can enjoy fantastic food and drinks in a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, I highly recommend The Craftsman Tavern. David's birthday was a memorable one, thanks to this wonderful establishment!

The Craftsman Tavern is a must visit. Unique and delicious cuisine, an extensive beverage menu and always a lively atmosphere. Due to their popularity we had to wait for a bit for initial service but when Brittany finally got to us (she had multiple tables sat at the same time), we had excellent and attentive service lacking for nothing. My only complaint was my salmon looked delicious but sadly overcooked so pretty dry. On the other hand, the skirt steak was delicious and was a huge portion. Cooked perfectly. Next time I will opt for that instead. Oh, and if you do go - must try the "crack addicting" truffle popcorn!

Very nice craft restaurant by the owners of Blue Ribbon Pizza. Butterscotch Pudding is a must have!!! The menu changes seasonally. I really liked the pork belly with corn chowder. Usually we get a lot of appetizers so we can taste a lot of dishes. Easy parking in the strip mall. They serve a very nice brunch with bottomless mimosas and bloody marys.

I never eat fish..but based on the Instagram post with a picture of their Mahi Mahi..it looked sooo good I had to try it.

We weren't sure how busy they would be since we couldn't make reservations on Yelp, but there was no wait when we arrived. Our server had great recommendations as it was our first time there. We decided to go light for dinner, starting with the butternut squash soup and Tijuana Caesar salad. For the main course we shared the Encinitas flatbread and the sausage was so tasty. We ordered both desserts to go and the Butterscotch pudding was beyond words for description and the bread pudding was quite good as well.

Craftsman is truly “Hand Crafted Comfort”! You will never go wrong with any choice in the menu! The meatloaf was my choice tonight... I didn’t go wrong! Better than my moms, sorry mom! The employees are always delightful. Got to check it out!

This place reminds me of being in the woods, in a cozy-home feel and the food is comforting. I took my girls out for brunch and we all loved our dishes and service. I ordered a bottomless mimosa and was not disappointed. Our server kept my glass topped.

Had a very nice waitress. Very friendly and nice. Had the meatloaf. Was very good.

I cannot rate this place high enough. Giovanni made the experience so fun and engaging, the entire staff was extremely accommodating, and the food is phenomenal.
We had a group of 25 and the restaurant even customized the menu for the day of with our event name on top. We are definitely going to become regulars here. The outside atmosphere was fantastic and chill, the food was DELICIOUS, and the service was on point. Everybody in the group commented on how great the experience was and how fantastic the food was. And the manager came out at the end to say hi and ask about our experience- overall 20/10 would recommend this spot.

OH. MY. GOD! This was by far the best dining experience I’ve had in so long! The food was PHENOMENAL and the service was so welcoming. My fiancé even forgot to grab his hat and Shane tan outside to make sure we didn’t leave it! She was THE BEST!! hats off to her! Will definitely be coming back again

Beer cheese fondue to die for.
Came here randomly for brunch on a Sunday and had great service. Bottomless mimosa was great, every time my mimosa got low it was topped off until we left. Sweet potato tots were delicious as well.

We came back after just a week without this delicious place!! 😉 the service is fantastic, the atmosphere is divine and the food is top notch. Honestly I am happy that more people don’t know about this place! There is never a wait and they welcome you like they’ve known you forever. And the bathrooms are clean and don’t smell like a “bathroom” 😊 the chicken fried chicken is mouthwatering, the biscuit is GIANT! Make sure to ask for extra gravy…just because it is that good. It’s a must try !

Great food. We had the spicy ahi poke and it actually was spicy! The truffle fries had a very tasty aioli sauce. Impressive wine list for a tavern as well.

My friend is addicted to the the Truffle Popcorn and I had the appetizer fish & chips. The service was awesome although I didn't drink any alcohol the craft beers were flowing and other guests were enjoying variations of mixed cocktails and good wines!!! The place was packed and we got the last table for two, but it is a fairly large restaurant with a smallish bar and outdoor covered patio. The turn over was fairly quick and although we had just ordered two appitizers with ice teas there was no pressure to leave our 4top. Been to this location 4 or 5 times and service as well as food was extremely consistent. Great place for family or date!!!

I love this place. It’s close to home here in Encinitas. Down to earth people working there. I love the bartenders they know how to mix good drinks and the wine is always a good choice if you don’t like cocktails. My new food addiction is the “Crafty Burger” and the chop salad is anything but a boring chop. So basically really good food & drinks and a chill environment with nice people around and Consistent!

We really enjoyed lunch here, what a find! Still practicing social distancing they had created a nice outdoor space with a tall enough fence that you didn't feel you were in the parking lot. We ate inside for one of the first times and loved the Crafty Tavern Burger and Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. Definitely going back for their bottomless mimosas for brunch!!!

This place is really what you think when of you hear "New American Tavern". We enjoyed it so much that I started this review before dessert came and am now finishing it afterward! We had a short wait on a Friday night and it was so worth it. Super friendly staff and foods with great flavors! We started with the brussell sprouts which were incredible and we finished with the Brownie! Every in between was good also! Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

The Craftsman is a "Dave & Tammy Tour Podcast" favorite! Our go-to choice begins with the truffle black popcorn, followed by their Craftsman Burger. They have a wide selection of wines and a good selection of craft beers. On Thursdays, expect a crowd, and that means LOUD! So, if you're looking for a romantic little spot for quiet conversation, this is NOT the place. But if you're out with pals and want to celebrate, you're on! Oh, and about those burgers, if you like them medium, order rare, as they tend to overcook most of their meat. The staff is friendly, management is attentive, and parking, plentiful. We love it! And if you visit and enjoy, but live closer to the water in Encinitas, consider Blue Ribbon, their sister restaurant. The food is equally good (if not better), the space is MUCH smaller, parking's a PITA, but the people are super nice.

I went to Craftsman in Encinitas and it was amazing. The environment there was great and the whole vibe of the restaurant was awesome. I ordered the short rib with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My meal was fantastic, it was probably one of the best short ribs I’ve ever had. My family got other dishes and they really enjoyed their meals. We had no problems with anything and the service there was quick and efficient. I highly recommended to try eating at Craftsman, it is a great local restaurant in Encinitas and I’m looking forward to returning.
