El Caballo Park

Great way to hike into Daley Ranch Preserve without paying parking fees. It's about a 3 hour round trip to Stanley Peak from the trailhead.

Usually not busy which is nice because the entrance to Dixon rarely has parking. Has a porter potty, some shade, and a couple picnic tables.

The only place in Escondido with black diamond rated DH. If you start here you can go up the black diamond to start then end the ride coming down it. Bring water as this place Gets really hot.

This park is coming along nicely. Climbing wall and other great obstacles all it of natural materials.

Great morning hike. Parking next to dog park off Valley Center Parkway. About 5.6 mile round trip to Stanley Peak.

Great laid back park where it's the busiest in the mornings with riders and hikers but most of the time very quiet at times for a park . It's a very basic park with not too many things to do other than hike or ride or just kick back and enjoy the peaceful solitude.. it needs to have water somewhere around there so bring your own if your staying awhile cuz there's none .

Great hiking close to home. Caballo Trail is a good 3.25 mile roundtrip workout, and you have options to go much further, into the rest of Daley Ranch.

This place is great, the one thing I didn't enjoy was when we had to use the restroom!
