Candlewood Suites Alexandria West, an IHG Hotel

Great property for longer stays, I remember my time there fondly from my say in late 2021 to early 2022.

The property is nice, tucked back into a dead end road. It's very quiet back there. Plenty of parking. The lobby is nice and offer a small variety of snacks. I do not recall but I do not think they serve any breakfast or meals at this property.

Rooms were nice, during my stay I was in an accessible room. It was a very spacious room. However, the shower has no lip so there was often a lot of water on the floor after a shower. Not a major deal, but still not the most ideal situation. The hotel style is an "extended stay" so each room has a small kitchen setup. It has a fridge, burners, and I believe a small dishwasher. Along with a microwave.

Overall a great property and I do plan on staying at this property again for my next trip and just to relive the nostalgia of it all.

My stay here at the Candlewood suites was awesome. 2 weeks here Krystal R. that works the front desk was a huge help. She always greeted me with a smile. Made sure whatever I needed I had. As far as sheets, fresh towels etc. she even took the time to help me bring my excessive luggage upstairs, saving me trips.This place even has free washers (3) and dryers (3) .. nice lil gym and basement area. Definitely will come back. Thanks Krystal you absolutely deserve a raise.

Stayed here with my family about 4 years ago, so around 2018. The experience was great! The room was very nice and clean, comfortable. They had actually just opened a few weeks prior. I definitely recommend.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Since the deal doesn't include breakfast like many others but there is a mini kitchen that you could do some cooking and prepare meals. Beds are clean and comfortable. The small issue that could improve is the AC, it's fairly weak and barely cool enough for the room. Very good price for a 2 beds room. Will book again in the future if there is a chance.

We were looking for a one-night stay not too far from the Capital while in town to see our son. A website called bringfido.com referred us because we have two dogs and traveling with them can be a hassle. This was a great choice. They had plenty of free, onsite parking. They gave us a first floor room, so taking the dogs out was easy. The room looked and felt new. The beds were comfortable. The kitchenette was convenient; large fridge, microwave and a stove top. It even had dishes. There was a lending library with board games and movies near the lobby and a comfortable back patio with grass for the dogs. They seemed to think of everything. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in DC.

Great hotel, shame I could not reserve a room for my entire vacation, had a small suit but loved it all the same

I spilled something on the floor,when wiping it up the towel was filthy! The floor must have been cleaned with a dirty mop and water. I RE cleaned the floor myself. Also the windows don't open. It would be nice to catch a nighttime breeze. Also a window that opens would be nice considering there are kitchenettes in the rooms and you need to let out smoke and food odors. Bed was super comfy, Staff was excellent. Kitchenette was up to date and dishes were clean, not grimey and greasy.

We were traveling up the coast and staying a few days at each stop. We ended up staying 8 days in the DC area. This was our 3rd hotel in the area of Old Town Alexandria. First hotels were so disappointing. I reviewed those two also. This was a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff, no fluxuating rates, and local TV with news. I know it sounds crazy to rate for these items. These were big issues with first hotels. The room is nice and Brite, and a really decent kitchen for a hotel. Thank you.

Had a wonderful stay in Candlewood Suites. Was here for four weeks and I loved and enjoyed all the facilities. Best part is you get free access to use the washing machines and the driers. The GYM is good enough. Will definitely come back again. Special mention, Nerrissa, who has been a great customer executive at the reception.

Very clean during the pandemic. The customer service was great. Rooms are a great size, especially with a kitchen. The internet was good enough to play online on a ps4, with no lag. Parking is tight but plenty of spaces. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a very nice hotel, and it appears much nicer than the other hotels in the immediate area. I choose it because I needed a location that accepted pets. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby, elevators, and my room where all extremely clean and well maintained. My kitchen was well stocked with anything that I would have needed to cook and serve a decent meal. I honestly have nothing negative to say about my stay here.

I have had a wonderful stay for the past month. The front desk staff have been warm and inviting each and every day. Very clean environment, the rooms are wonderful!!! Thank you!!!

Luxury property and has parking. The best to stay ever. I will recommend friends and families and I will definitely go again. The stuff OMG they are very welcoming and fulfilling you need as much as they can. I saw real customer service. 👍 @Dean and @Dayana

Super nice, VERY clean hotel, and great staff. Joel at the front desk treated us so well. We will definitely stay here each time we're traveling to the area and would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful PET FRIENDLY hotel we stopped at for the night on the way home. Friendly staff, nice area in the back for the dog to run in. IHOP nearby for breakfast. Loved the experience!

Hotel was clean, rooms was nice and spacious. The location is around everything, so it's very convenient.

For the price,i was shocked how amazing my room was.clean and very upscale,and for the location.This by far tops any hotel iv ever stayed at especially for the price.
