Let's start with the kindness and comfort we experienced at this fine restaurant. The atmosphere is so amazing, and old school New England. It brings me back to a different time (in a positive way). A beautiful functional Fireplace adorns one section of the dining areas if you like as well. Plenty of items to catch your eyes and spark some table talk!

Now we will discuss the service. The hostess and everyone greeted us each time with a smile and welcoming tones. The wait staff (Mark and Lauren) were undoubtedly some of the best staff I have met in this state. That's saying something big, we eat out several times a week. This is a new favorite for me and my guests. Everything was timely, cooked and served at proper temperatures, and well presented. A++

Now the good stuff... the food. The bread basket, crackers and cheese came first! Didn't last long! Then, I had the steamers, I highly recommend them. 👌 (had them all 3 trips. That's right 3!) Plus the filet mignon was cooked to perfection, i enjoyed a side of mixed veggies with a baked potato. Wonderful flavors and quality. My 3guests had fish and chips, clam chowder, and a steakhouse burger with fries. The fish and chips were amazing (haddock) great quality and flavor. The clam chowder my guest claimed was the best she had wiith just a hint of bacon. The burger was cooked to perfection. And served on a beautiful Brioche with fries. You should also make sure you try the dressing (creamy garlic is no joke TY Lauren!) I still love the house italian personally (less sweet), it also is available for take home!

Also one of my guests had a birthday and they made sure to make it special in so many ways. Give them 24 hours they'll have a cake ready for you!!! The facilties are wheelchair accessible and the staff is helpful. They catered to my gluten free needs as well.

In closing: Do yourself a favor, treat yourself nice and go see them. Order without fear and know you will treated like family here. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and it shows they care. Ty Jim for the kindness love and time your have put into your business. It shows. Ty for the dressing I have enjoyed it tremendously. Tell them "Artist" sent you and share a smile and some great dining with some special people, even if you dine alone. I know because I did it my first time there. :) but I just couldn't keep it to myself. :) I will be back very soon.

We saw new England steak and seafood from an influencer highlighting the Fred Flintstone prime rib, so we decided to take a drive from CT. Well worth it. The atmosphere is an old mill. Very cool. The whole staff was very friendly and fun.

We all had the Flintstone cut prime rib. It was massive. Definitely get it blacked. It's not spicy, but a sweet glaze that also tenderizes the steak even more. So flavorful.

The meatball is bigger than a softball, loaded with melted mozz. Delicious. Excellent food, good prime rib. Small wine list.

A very nice restaurant out in Mendon. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. The giant meatball was especially tasty and almost a meal in itself. I am glad I was out that way and had a chance to stop in, well worth it.

This place never disappoints. The service, the food. The french onion soup is my favorite nevermind the Pink Cadillac cocktail! The meat selection is quite impressive! I'm not a huge fan on the steak end of things but my Dad and Boyfriend are!

I've picked up food here twice for my wife. The proportions blew me away for takeout. Great tasting food, positive and friendly faces at the door. I love the joke that happens when I walk in to pay for the order, haha. I'm almost certain the dining in is 100x better than takeout. One of these days, we will find out. 10/10 recommend.

It was great experience. We had chowder and french fries. Looks like a family business. Lots of pride, also very cool antiques inside. Cozy wood stove. Food was great!.

Anyone locally familiar with the longtime favorite premiere Cocke & Kettle restaurant still mourn it's closing many years ago. We recently dined at the Mendon Steak & Seafood restaurant in Mendon, Massachusetts. We haven't been there for a long while. I'm pleased to say we were completely amazed. The food was delicious, well prepared, with large portions of each item. No skimping on anything. Our table server was beyond professional. The food came fairly quickly and was placed on our table in a manner you only see in top tier restaurants. Polite, concerned, and friendly. I also want to say the eating areas were spotlessly clean, neatly set, and tables nicely spaced apart with respect for the times we live in today. There are huge expanded, relatively new table areas to accommodate many patrons. The charm and interior beauty of this New England Steak & Seafood restaurant is something to behold. The owner of this fine eatery deserves the highest compliments for creating a restaurant that is a masterpiece of food, service, and fun.

Wow what a great place. We came in on Sunday and it was pretty busy. They got us right in. Waiter was great and easy to get along with I had prime rib (melted in your mouth) and the lobster casserole. Really folks you need to go here.

Warm atmosphere. Quality food. Incredible service from the staff. Very welcoming.

From appetizers to entrees, NESS has solidified itself as my favorite local food joint.

Highly recommend anything lobster related.

First time for all three of us. Service was amazing, food delicious and prices were very reasonable. Not sure why I've never been there but will definitely be back. Had the lazy man's lobster casserole and steamers for an appetizer. And they were open on a Monday night! Win/win.

The overabundance of food is extraordinary. Crackers with cheese, fresh warm cinnamon buns, and salads to go with your steak. The full rack of ribs is my favorite.

This is our go to place for a special dinner with out of town guests and our go to steakhouse/place for a lobster boil in the local area! It is a memorable experience for our company! The decor makes it very cozy and the fireplace is a wonderful touch of New England!!

We had a late lunch early dinner today at NSSR....Our waitress Lisa was outstanding, I explained how I wanted my prime rib and it was absolutely perfect . Robin had lobster casserole and she was in heaven...if you have the opportunity to stop in you will be satisfied I'm sure. From the waitress Lisa to the meal we couldn't have been happier . We will surely be back soon.

Was looking for some seafood only to find out the place I was looking for…was closed for the season. I had passed New England Steak and Seafood so I turned around and decided to dine there. The décor of this place (at least the bar area) could be described as sophisticatedly barn sale “chique”. You could spend hours perusing all of the things they have hanging from the ceiling and walls. So I decide to dine at the bar, order a beer and there is freshly popped popcorn and a cheddar cheese and cracker appetizer. The popcorn was good but the cheddar cheese and Pepperidge Farms crackers was incredible.

While I am munching you can tell this place is a “locals” hangout, and when a gentleman called Bob takes a seat at the bar I half expected the crowd there to yell “Norm”…LOL

I decided to try the combo of Roast Prime Rib and Lazy Man's Lobster Casserole that comes with a salad, potatoes, and vegetables. I expected a small piece of Prime Rib along with some lobster…and I was sorely mistaken. The salad was fresh and was quite large and I chose the suggested Creamy Garlic dressing…one of the best salad toppings I have enjoyed in many years. As for dinner, the slab of precisely cooked prime rib was HUGE while doing the backstroke in a pool of au jus, a large helping of lobster casserole, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a bread basket. I think I went into a food coma before taking the first bite! The prime rib was delicious and big enough for two, the lobster casserole was nice and buttery, and the sides were equally good. Add to that friendly and efficient service and its no wonder this is a local favorite.

Recommended by a local and it was delicious! Casual and 'old-school' vibe to the restaurant. Lots on the menu. Seafood chowder was very good though a tad salty for my taste. However, the ribs may be the best ribs I've ever had! I've been dreaming about them ever since! Rolls came out with blueberry cornbread and cinnamon rolls which were also really good. Portions were big and service was excellent. Beer selection was really small but you come here for the food! I'm from out of town but hope to return sometime for those ribs!
