Hampton Inn by Hilton Petersburg Ft. Gregg Adams

CUSTOMER SERVICE! Once upon a time, the customer was always right. This wasn’t about a power play or if the customer was actually IN the right…it was a model that was used in most businesses which realized that without the customer: they are not in business! I want to officially give Hampton Inn Petersburg VA a 10-star review (even though max allowed is 5) because they have honored this tried and true, age-old philosophy about the customer. 6 MONTHS ago, I inadvertently left an important item at the hotel. I called when I arrived home and asked how I could claim the item from 5 states away. They had a procedure that wouldn’t work for me, no matter how many times I tried on the website. I asked if they would hold my item until I could pass through this part of VA, which may be 7 months later. The staff member said it would be held for me. Like clockwork: 7 MONTHS later, I showed up, and even though lost and found was very recently purged, my item was held with my name on it - AS PROMISED! I couldn’t be more surprised, in the greatest of ways!!! Thank you Hampton Inn…. For reinforcing my faith in the age-old, tried and true CUSTOMER SERVICE. 10 STARS!!!! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

I chose this hotel as it is approx 1/2 way on our drive back from SC to NJ. The location is not too far off of 95 so that was good.

Staff was AMAZING! While the other Hampton Inn I just stayed at in SC only gave us 2 bottled waters and one choice of snack for our party of 4, this one gave each of us a bottled water and snacks! We were floored. Lol! The Hampton Inn in SC even gave guests a threatening note saying you only get 2 bottles of water for your entire stay so don’t ask for more. As a Hilton honors member I appreciate the free water and snacks and when staff is kind and generous with it, it makes it even better. The hotel is being renovated so it looks a little worn in areas and much to my children’s chagrin the pool is closed due to construction. I love my Hilton honors because no matter where I travel my Hilton hotel room always feels familiar and predictable. (When it comes to hotels, predictable is a good thing!!!) the room was clean with plenty of lights, outlets, a large fridge with icebox, coffee maker, dryer, microwave and lots of drawers (something the SC Hampton Inn didn’t have!)

Not bad at all. They were under construction 🏗 🚧 so the hallways were dirty but the room was nice and was missing the couch which was kinda of weird lol but it was still good.

Very nice hotel and the staff was amazing. They have some of the best cookies I ever had. The front desk lady Ms Natasia was so nice and respectful. She went above and beyond when my family and I stayed there. She even knows how to deal with those rude customers in a respectable and quick way. No one should of had to go through what I witnessed as this one customer came in with an attitude. She must be an angel because she remained calm and didn't lose her smile as she checked him and his family in. She deserves a raise and employee of the month. I'm bringing more family the next time I come. They have to try that corn beef hash that I keep bragging about.

Great customer service. Jocelyn was very kind to myself and my friend staying at the hotel. Great cookies and juice of the day, I don't know any other Hilton that does that. Breakfast was really good.

I was inconvenienced by another hotel chain, due to some mechanical issues, and had to switch to the Hampton Inn. I was happy to have had that happen. As I enjoyed great Front Desk personnel, that supplied me with a beautiful Queen suite, that included all the amenities I required. This included a Microwave, and small refrigerator. The beds were clean and very comfortable. The room was very clean. The next morning I had breakfast which was self serve and buffet style. Enough food choices were offered to satisfy most diets, including Orange juice and great coffee. Say hi to Bianca at the front desk and be amazed as she starts addressing you by your first name. Had a cozy wonderful stay, and believe me, I travel a great deal, and have stayed at all the different Hotel chains worldwide. I definitely had an amazing stay at this Hampton Inn.

We had been traveling down I95, trying to get home after being stranded in NYC by Southwest Airlines. We reserved 3 rooms for an overnight stay. The staff was amazing and the rooms were affordable, spacious and clean! Thank you!

Melissa and her team are top notch. They always are friendly and efficient. Not the newest hotel but the care and concern they pay to their guests makes up for that. They always recognize my diamond status, remember my name and have taken the time to get to know me. Any concerns I have there have always been handled quickly and the follow up is always quick. Thanks for making me feel cared about when I can’t be home!

Clean and well priced! Rooms to be renovated, per excellent staff. Breakfast included was very good, but could have been served until a little later

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable . The complimentary breakfast was much better than we expected. the breakfast worker went out of her way to be helpful.

this motel.
The staff was very courteous and pleasant. The hot breakfast was good.
Very clean.
There as lack of carts, but, the staff went to my room and help carry the luggage
to my car.
We will recommend and will stay again at this place

We were so very pleased. This hotel is beyond clean and even had a seal on the door to show Noone had entered after it was sanitized. The clean smell as you entered the room was so refreshing. We had a leaking air conditioning unit and Melissa Jackson the manager did an impedance job of giving us a rebate on our room in apology. If you are traveling through this area this is a must stay,,!

This is an excellent property that is well maintained. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is quite good. If you're looking for a pleasant place to stay in the Petersburg area, you'll be pleased with this Hampton Inn.

I stay here weekly for business. It's always nice, peaceful and clean. The staff is polite and welcome and the room is always clean. You do need a new Hampton Inn flag out front.

Due to a storm we were forced to find a hotel room near our home. We arrived close to midnight and were greeted by a very friendly desk manager. We were luck and got the last available room. It was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend a stay here.

The staff here goes above there usual job to make you feel at home. You will feel warm vibes when coming to stay here. The rooms on the 4th floor are nicer (but my husband and I got the handicapped room since that was the only one available at the time for our family of four to stay in) well when we had to check back in since our move in date got pushed back we ended up on the 1st floor. Not as nice as the room we stayed in on the top floor. The floor was a little damp and just had a different vibe to it then the 4th floor. Their breakfast hours are from 6am to 10 from what I was told at the front desk. The breakfast has fruit, waffles & pancakes (fresh), oatmeal, juice, yogurt. Let's just say that their breakfast gives you a variety to choose from. I would highly recommend this place to others mainly because of the staff. And yes they are military friendly and do offer discounts for military personnel.

Beautiful large room with jacuzzi. Very helpful lady at the front desk. Yummy cookies. And a nice breakfast.

GREAT STAFF/Rooms! I've traveled all over the world and stayed at Hampton Inns all over the US as it is my hotel of choice due to service and value- THIS PLACE IS THE BEST ONE I'VE STAYED IN! Kudos for your great customer service! Stayed here twice, once when I just needed a quiet rest/study time prior to a national exam taking place nearby; and another time when my father ended up in the ER down the road and I needed a place to stay- both times were excellent!
