Great place for breakfast!

We had a relatively big party of people, and the accommodations were great!

Had the corned beef hash with eggs and biscuit!
Amazing take on a classic breakfast dish!

Servers were amazing and loved that they provided input of their favorite food recommendations!

Definitely a must go if you're in town!

Wonderful home made country food served in a historic restaurant.... the vegetables are delicious 😋, the desserts are to die for 🥧 , and the Hot Dogs 🌭......OMG!!!! True country breakfast and specials from days past, YUM 😍

Tried the Liver and Onions Special, great meal and you can't go wrong with any of the sides. Did I mention how good their hot dog 🌭 chili is?!?! Oooo Mmmm Gggg !!! 😳 😋 If you're Jones'n for a Southern home-cooked meal, check ✔ out Dixie for lunch!! Not just the best breakfast in town!! See you there....
Another visit- This time I read all the awards Dixie has been awarded! 🤯 Best Iced 🧊 Tea, and it's true!! I think part of it is the ice; it's the Old-fashioned, shaved nuggets kind. Be careful, brain freeze.....🥶

This was such a great place to dine in! As soon as I walked in, we were greeted with such politeness! All of the staff members were very friendly and showed such great hospitality! We had the honor of being served by Mrs. Penny and she was truly a joy! Such an amazingly sweet person and she did a phenomenal job! This is a very unique place with an antique like decor ! The food was very good as well! I had the salmon burger with some sides and loved it!! It was fresh, well seasoned, and a nice size. I overall enjoyed my experience there and would certainly return when visiting the area. The prices were very reasonable!! Highly recommend!

Great southern food. Good sweet tea. Great banana pudding. One of our family’s favorite restaurants, we make a point to go here when visiting or traveling through Petersburg.

The grill cheese is one of the best I’ve ever had and our son loves it.

The fries are tempura style fries which I like.

I love diners and perhaps I do because my first diner was the Dixie Diner when I was a kid. They consistently have the best hot dogs and navy beans anywhere. One dish that used to be on the regular menu but is now only on their specials menu was the open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy . I will always order that whenever it's on the board . My other go to for breakfast is grits and greens . All of their food is absolutely delicious! It's always busy which is a testament to how popular they are.

Went in for breakfast around 9am and it was definitely packed. We decided to take seats at the counter and had a great time talking with the other customers. The entire staff was in holiday attire so it made it feel special, especially the green Christmas suit🤣. The food was perfect I had the Dixie scramble which I will probably get every time I come here. I got it with home fries and a corn cake and all of it was perfect. The others in my party had French toast and waffles and they loved it as well. While sitting there I did see them make a few chili dogs and from the smell I'll be back to try those as well. Good place, good food and all three of us ate for under $40.

Haven't been in almost twenty years....arrived at noon & it was packed. I was not disappointed...food & service was excellent....now hot-dogs are their thing so this is not gourmet dining but on that level they deliver... recommended..

Found this place on the internet, it was a wonderful experience. Staff so polite and sweet, food was great came out pretty quick. I would definitely recommend. In a nice historic town loved it everything about it.

What a Great place to enjoy breakfast. The restaurant was packed, but I found a spot at the counter and the service was fantastic, even though they were super busy. I got the 3 egg omelet, Grits, toast, and coffee. It was delicious and a Great place to eat.

This place has the down-home southern feel, and the food is just like Grandma used to make. I ordered the Cocade omelet, home fries with a side of corned beef hash. Everything was superb.

Breakfast is wonderful. The bacon and sausage are cooked to perfection. Hash browns are well seasoned and the coffee is amazing

First time going, but it felt like home. The bologna burger came just the way it should- onions, mustard, cheese. Didn't have to ask that's just how it's served. I see why this place constantly gets awards. 10/10 will gladly go again

They had salmon cakes on the breakfast menu! They were the best! There for a return to my hometown, but had never eaten there before. I’ve wasted the last 40 years by not visiting. This place is good!

Best place in Petersburg for breakfast! Locally owned and operated, quick, reasonably priced, and delicious food. You gotta sit at the bar! They even have scrapple on the menu lol

Absolutely my favorite breakfast restaurant in Petersburg if not all of the Tri-Cities. Amazing atmosphere, love the history behind it that fuels the future ahead of it. Love looking at the decorations on the walls, displays and whatever is hung up. The pancakes are tasty, omletes are great and even their simple egg breakfasts with toast remind you of grandma throwing down in the kitchen before 11 o'clock service at church. Couldn't recommend this place enough

I had the sausage gravy and biscuits with a side of eggs plus coffee. It was about $16.
They're very friendly and service was fast.

100% recommended. Authentic local food made by locals and for locals. Collards were esp. amazing: Smoke, spice and vinegar. chicken fried chicken and chicken and dumplings also perfect. Personable and charming service. Only complaint was Mac N Cheese (Broken non creamy sauce; i still ate it).
