Rainbow Acres Campground

A family owned business with an exceptional camping atmosphere. The well kept, clean and safe experience with amenities to make your home away from home worth coming back for. The neighbor-like atmosphere and seeing families on golf carts is one of my favorite relaxing pastimes. Many thanks to Rosemary, Becky, Gus, Keith, Karen, CJ and Mandy and the rest of the Rainbow Acres Campground Resort crew for all they do.

LOVE the staff!!! The location is great with some pretty awesome views of the river. We did not have any issues with smells, bugs or rude staff that was mentioned in some other reviews. The staff was super helpful with everything. We were able to enjoy the band playing one evening. I am looking forward to returning in the Summer.

Very cool place and the owners are very friendly. There are mostly permanent residents here but they were friendly and respectful. Very quiet place. Park is very well kept. There is a store on site with a few basic needs so come prepared because town is quite a trek. Thank you for your “personal touch” and the hospitality!.

Becky and Gus where over the top hosts. This wad our maiden voyage in the RV world. We just purchased our unit 1 month ago and have been getting comfortable with the features and functions while sitting in the driveway. The one thing we had not done is connect sewer. So, after announcing that we are newbies, Gus helped me back the unit into our site and after the one minor adjustment I was set in place. Next, Gus and Jarrod guided me through the water and sewer connection. I did not have enough water hose so they supplied me with an extra 20' length. I got the sewer hooked up then he guided me through leveling. Their sites are mostly level to begin with and with a minor adjustment, I was set. The campground is organized well, clean, quite and peaceful. The only thing I forgot was a hammock, NEXT TIME...

Awesome campground! Owners were nice, easy to get in and out with a 26ft travel trailer. Clean shower houses, on the river with fishing, swimming and other activities. Nice camp store with beverages, food and any camping needs.

I stayed with some friends at RACR last 4th of July (2016) and had a great time despite the rain. Most of the spaces are owned by members, but there are some open rental spaces.
Everyone I met was very friendly & ready to have a good time. Bathroom & shower facilities are available for space renters, and they are surprisingly clean. The management takes great pride in maintaining a tight ship.
While we were there, a big wind storm blew through, and a fallen limb did some damage to one of te locals trailer. The neighbors (our host included) rallied around him & made fast temporary repairs to his roof, they even provided him with a means to cool his dwelling since the damage to his roof included his air conditioner.
We played in the water, dove & flipped off of the pier.
We rode wakeboards & had a blast. I hope my friend invites us to return next year.

We love this rustic awesome campground! We've been with them for over 20 years thru the ups and downs. There is such a sence of family. Under new management now definitely the best is yet to come!

Great place to be. Very friendly staff and campers . I would highly recommend this place for any reason. Becky and Gus go over and beyond to make there campground family oriented. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here while working in Virginia and was very happy with the park. Quiet, clean and safe. Management was very pleasant and caring.

Great campground , it's like being at home . People are friendly and campground staff will help you out with anything 🙂

Great place to go camping very peaceful the people there are l very helpful and just good people They also have a dog park. Can't wait to go back in the spring.

My husband and I have stayed there for a few years doing camping season the people are very nice who own the place the view is beautiful I love the river and the sky lots of people like to go there I would recommend camping there to anyone

This is a quiet, peaceful place; horseshoes, corn hole & poker tournaments; camping (tents), trailer parking, boating, fishing, & hiking; GREAT neighbors in a friendly community! There's always someone to help you if needed...or just to socialize at a variety of decks or fire pits around the campground!

One of the best campgrounds around. The staff is amazing, very clean. Can't wait to go back!!!

its a laid back campground. Enjoy the more old style camping. very relaxing and lots of fun.
