Two Drummers Smokehouse

We visited the area and saw this restaurant on our way to get gas and shop. We wanted to try something different from a fast food chain. We were not disappointed. The pork rinds with pimento cheese were AMAZING!!! We tried the smoked turkey breast from the a la carte menu. It was outstanding!!! We split a smoked brisket dip sandwich with Mac and cheese as our side. Fantastic!!!! If we lived in the area, we would be here at least once a week. It's definitely worth the money. Serving staff were very attentive and quick to notice drinks getting low.

I've gone here a few times in the past so I figure I'll give them a review. Great BBQ, ribs and brisket are excellent. Sides have always been solid. If I were to find a critique, the Mac & Cheese is more on the creamier side than cheesier (I prefer cheesier).

This little family restaurant is packing a ton of Flavor❤ of all the places I've ever eaten this is only the second restaurant I have found in the United States who can cook collard greens correctly. The piggy fries are delicious! Wonderful BBQ and great service. Our server today was "Joy", and she was an absolute joy❤. We will be back when in VA again.

Tried Two Drummers Smokehouse this evening for the first time, by getting takeout. We had the smoky wings and the rib & brisket entree. We were bowled over by how excellent every item was! The wings are substantial and perfectly smoked to peak flavor & tenderness. The ribs were fall off the bone, and the brisket melted in your mouth. Every protein was smoked to perfection and were so well seasoned, no additional sauce would be needed. We did try the sweet bbq sauce, though, and it was delicious. But, truly not needed. The sides of collards & cole slaw were exceptional. Thank you! Can’t wait to try everything else on your menu!

The service was exceptional. The price very reasonable considering how tasty and the good the food was.

First time we go here. I found it by chance looking for the upper park on the map. I got this recommendation about the Huges puppies and I ended up buying for three people. The girl who received me was very kind to us. Super delicious food and great prices. I personally ordered a Smokehouse Cuban sandwich and I was really surprised. I have never seen a Cuban sandwich on a country restaurant menu before and I really don't regret it, I recommend it to everyone. I will return with the whole family! Thank you

Everything here is good but I did enjoy the 12 Hour Brisket and Honey Brined Chicken the best. Of course the "Infamous" Pork Rinds keep crackling till you are out the door and they are delicious. Best BBQ place I have tried so far in the area!

2017-04-05. I forgot how great this place is. The cheese grits block, the baked beans, and of course the brisket and chicken, were wonderful! Please try this place because you won't be disappointed! The Pimento cheese with bacon on French bread is only on the menu during the winter and spring so make sure you try it before it disappears for summer!

2020-01-24 The special board got my attention today and I tried the Italian beef sandwich with pepper relish on ciabatta bread. I also tried the sweet potato soup with crab and pork belly. Both were taste sensations and I loved both of them!

2021-01-08 decided to try something different this time and I am extremely happy. I tried the:
Porky Fries...Fantastic!I will definitely be ordering this again the next time I'm here.
Then for my entree:
12 Hour Beef Brisket - fantastic as usual.
My two sides were:
Cheddar Grit Cake... always a favorite of mine!
Brussel Sprout Slaw.. it was pretty good.
And for dessert:
Two Drummers Bread Pudding - I Skip the chocolate sauce and just got a plain because I prefer it that way. Always a good choice here for dessert.
When I am in Williamsburg Virginia or going by, I always find this a great place to stop.. Two thumbs up and I thank them for making such excellent food!

My wife said the pickle fried chicken sandwich was the best sheet ever eaten anywhere. She also loved the porky fries and the brisket burnt ends. Those are my favorite two things on the menu at the moment. Every time I'm in there though that you've got something new that is amazing. This is definitely the place to visit when you are in Williamsburg!

2022-05-02 bad news. They have taken the cheddar grit cake off of the menu. They have now got something called Texas caviar. I tried it instead of my norm and actually found it quite tasty. I would still prefer the cheddar great cake, but this is fine. I enjoyed it.

2022-06-07. Fantastic as usual! Wife tried the cheeseburger and it was fantastic. Porky fries were -go out and get it now" as usual.

What a great experience! We reserved a table for my wife's birthday. The food was excellent (I had the Cuban and highly recommended it) and the service was good in spite of it being extremely busy and the live music was great. We will definitely be back.

Great local BBQ joint. Not exactly in town, but OK if you have to drive. Meats are very tasty, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. Building isn't perfect, but it is serviceable. Employees are friendly. Beer selection isn't large, but has plenty local choices to be sufficient.

Hands down the best bbq I have ever had! Tender, juicy pulled pork with made to order fresh green beans sauteed in garlic. The service was excellent, our waitress answered all our questions and made sure we always had everything we needed. Easy to stay keto here!

Food was amazing. We had a large group. Everything came out hot, fresh and fast. Large, Creative menu and lots of flavor. Service was stellar. Doesn’t get much better!

My gosh this food is good! Great cozy atmosphere inside, and they happened to have live music going on and it was fantastic! Got the combo with cherry smoked pork and brisket so tender it falls apart just looking at it! They also have some of the best cornbread I've had in a long time! Wait staff was extremely kind and checked on us regularly. Can't wait to come back!

Old world charm and serious good food. Meats are from the Pit and you won't go hungry. Staff was friendly and did a great job. Collard greens had to be Top 5.

Tuna bites are surprisingly yummy! The brisket was moist with great flavor and the ribs fell off the bone. The Mac and cheese was good, and the collards were the right amount of tangy.

This was a Great Experience for Phaze 1. The staff is extremely Friendly and Attentive. The Service was Quick and the Quality in The Tase of the Food was On Point. The angel of the smoker made it feel like a Backyard BBQ. Would recommend them to those looking for BBQ while on 64E

Stopped today at 2 Drummers for the first time on my way back from Williamsburg to Charlottesville. Looking for a top shelf barbecue joint, I asked for a recommendation from a very pleasant person in Williamsburg who happened to be wife of the owner. Instead of I-64, I took Richmond Road to 2 Drummers in Toano. Ordered the cherry smoked pulled pork sandwich. Awesome. Brought a full rack of ribs and hush puppies back to Charlottesville for dinner with the family. They loved it…meat so tender it falls off the bone. Big hush puppies- full of flavor. Our server, Hillary was great. Nice selection of sauces. 2 Drummers is the real deal. Give them a shot, you won’t regret it.

This place rocks, if your local or out of town this place is a must try it is really great food, the waitress was so sweet and polite she is a great server and so so sweet. I suggest you try anything there cause it is absolutely delicious. And the wings are to die for
