Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993

Ristorante Bartollotta was fantastic. My wife and I went for a 6:45 dinner reservation that we were able to make same day on a Saturday morning. The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere though was a little loud but not obnoxious by any means. The service was great from the second we walked in.

The four course tasting menu was the perfect amount of food. Everything was fantastic especially the meat filled ravioli which was very rich and flavorful. My wife has a dairy allergy and was able to be accommodated which is fantastic. The server recommended a glass of wine based on the types I normally drink and I was very happy with their recommendation.

To top it off, the flour less chocolate cake and latte were both delicious.

This isn't a cheap experience but between the service and food, I'd recommend it. They change their menu up fairly frequently so I will keep my eye out for the new items they come up with

Visited during the Palermo region menu. All of the food was fantastic. Service was a hit jagged. Very slow start and delivery of courses was not timed well. However we were looking for a relaxing meal and were in no rush and enjoyed not being rushed to make way. Octopus was outstanding but again all tasted fantastic. Also had seafood cone, pork ragu and swordfish pasta dishes, mixed grill, flourless chocolate cake and caramel pudding

Regions & now cuisine of Italian cities: We experienced the Venice menu. Our service team went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. And we did. Delicious meal. The squid ink pasta & calamari are sublime. Calamari was tender & plentiful. The John Dory was perfectly cooked with a delicately balanced sauce. We keep going back. This wine was fabulous.

This was by far one of the most extravagant and tasteful dining experiences of my entire life. Let's start from the beginning:

Walking into the restaurant, we actually went into the wrong area, there was the outdoor seating right next to were we parked, but the entrance was located on the corner of the street. Despite the fact that we had made a crucial mistake on how to enter the restaurant, the wait staff was incredibly gracious in directing us to the correct entrance. Once inside, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome, and after confirming our reservations, we were seated at an aesthetically pleasing table. They asked us if we would like sparkling or regular water, and I was just expecting water from the tap, but they pulled out a glass bottle of authentic spring water. Leaving the bottle on the table, they gave us their menu.

I had never been to this restaurant before, so I was a little bit lost on how it worked, so if you were wondering let me walk you through it. The idea is that you are taking a two or through a region of Italy with a different courses during the meal. For the entire price of the meal, you get an appetizer, a first course, a main course, and a dessert. You have to pick everything at the beginning, and then they just bring you your food. Being the uncultured swine that I am, I had never tried escargot before, So I decided to take the leap of Faith. When they brought my food to the table, and I tried the dish, it spoke volumes in my mouth. The escargot was tender and very textually pleasing, I could tell that it was well cooked because I've been told by other people that typically if it's not cooked properly it can taste rubbery, but this was perfect. The seasoning was fantastic, the sauce was incredible, and the bread crumbs on top really added to the flavor. Up next we had our second course, I had chosen the pork pasta, And let me tell you this dish did not disappoint. This was quite possibly what some of the best pork that I've ever had in my life. I should note that we were here for my wife's birthday, and we had the gift that I had purchased for her on the table, and when we had walked in they actually presented my wife with a birthday card free of charge simply because it was her birthday, that's what I call service!

We then mosied our way to the main course. I was blown away by how tender the steak was. I'm no chef by any means, so I might not be able to properly articulate how perfect everything was, the proportions were correct, nothing was too oily or overcooked, everything was cooked to perfection. I should also note that there was a decent amount of time between courses, I was worried that because there were four courses in the meal, that I was going to be too full to continue, but there was just enough time between courses to keep me interested and my appetite up, It was as if everything was planned meticulously to the last detail.

Now for the desserts. This was without a doubt one of the best tasting desserts I've ever had if not the best tasting dessert in my entire life. I quite literally almost shed a tear when I tried the canolli. The orange peel with the pistachio, the chocolate, the cream, the maraschino cherry, the pastry, everything formed together so incredibly perfectly. I should also note that I was a fat kid growing up and I am no stranger to the sweets, but everything I have ever eaten in my life paled in comparison to how absolutely delicious this canolli was. I don't normally do this when I go out to eat, but I had to ask the waiter to give my compliments to the chef, and I had to have the waiter write down in my phone what it was that I had just eaten because I didn't want to forget the name of this incredibly delectable dish.

The wait staff was incredibly helpful, the ambience was fancy but homey, All the way down to the lighting inside. If you are ever in Milwaukee and visiting like I was and you're looking for a nice place to go, come here. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I almost shed a tear at how delicious this cannoli was.

We were lucky enough to have a perfect summer evening on La Terrazzo amongst their beautiful flower garden. The evening felt just like dining in Italy especially with the price fix menu featuring a four course dinner of Napoletana items. Every item we chose was simply amazing! Pasta was cooked to perfection. My lasagne tasted just like my mother in law's lasagne and she was from the Campania region! Delizia al Limone and the Torta di Cioccolato Amaro were a perfect ending to an amazing dinner and when they found out we were celebrating our anniversary our waiter brought us each a glass of proscecco to celebrate. We will definitely be back to celebrate special occasions here again!

We just returned from our honeymoon in Italy and can confidently say this place offers authentic Italian cuisine. Wine, food and ambiance are excellent and the service is top-notch. We sat on the terrazza (patio) and the music was soft enough for a conversation. 10/10 would recommend!

This is a top tier, top of the line restaurant without question. The food was other worldly. Our dinner included 4 courses (with each course having about 6 or 7 different choices). The theme was food varieties originating from the Milan area. (I would assume the themes change... not sure how often that happens)
Incredible really. As you can imagine, the service was exemplary.
For me personally, it couldn't be a once a week endeavor due to the prices, but I would encourage everyone to give it a go every once in a while.

This is my favorite Italian place when they have their original menu. The beef carpaccio, the duck ragu are outstanding. I'd be happy with just that. But add in their desserts and phenomenal!

This place is incredible! The menu is sophisticated from drinks to food to after dinner. The regional focused seasonal menu changes approximately every 4 weeks I was told. The attention to detail for the chosen dishes was really impressive. The food was fantastic and I can’t say enough! This place is a true gem that should not be missed!

Welcome to the food of Venice. Exceptional food and service. The soft-shell crab was amazing! Best birthday celebration dinner ever.

I went here for my fiancée's birthday. They do have excellent vegan options even though they aren't listed except for the salad. I was able to do the 4 course meal comple with vegan dishes. They have a wonderful vegetable spaghetti and bean risotto as well as a raspberry sorbet. It was nice to see that they put an allergy tag in my risotto so it didn't get mixed up with one that had dairy. Service is excellent as well. It is expensive but for special occasions that's okay.

Ristorante Bartolotta is always delicious! Our most recent visit was on New Year’s Eve. When we arrived we were told it was a prix fixe menu. We were never notified even though we had made our reservation weeks in advance. I was very disappointed as I had had my heart set on a specific dish from their white truffle menu. My husband spoke with our waitress who then spoke with the chef and he was able to make me the dish I wanted in place of the pasta entree of the prix fixe menu. All of the food was delicious!

Posh, quiet environment. Not too big but no cramped. the service was some of the best we've ever had and, for our anniversary, they served us champagne.

My partner and I came here for my birthday this past weekend, tasting the Florence menu, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Great service and welcoming atmosphere; very relaxed and not at all intimidating like I thought it would be (I've always passed by but never gone in to actually eat!). The servers helped you feel right at home and are very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks available. Would love to come here again (the salted pudding is calling my name 🤤).

Last night we went out for my birthday to Ristorante Bartotta, it was my first time there and we had no idea what to expect. The menu as we learned was a tour of Trento Italy, and you picked 4 courses for only $75. We really enjoyed tasting all the different dishes and stepping out of our comfort zone. I really enjoyed the tortel di patate one of the best potato pancakes i ever had, would love to buy and take home 2 dozen.. my wife was tortured by the “strangolapreti” as it was so good but yet so filling… and best of all her 14 year old daughter stepped out of her normal foods and really likes the polpette, the traditional homemade ravioli dish and mixed grill…. I also want to complement all of the service. We have been to many restaurants late on a sunday night, last table, and they act like they just want us to leave… last night we felt we could have stayed for hours just chatting with the staff. My only suggestion would be to move that table further from corner and a little more room between tables. The ambiance was just great reminded me of the italian joints in nyc i grew up with, and finally the high quality bottled water was a hit.. cant wait to go back and take a different tour when they switch regions!

I have to give it to the Ristorante Bartolotta located in Wauwatosa Village. My friend and I had dinner there last night for New Year's Eve, and they followed the guidelines to a T. They took our temperature when we first walked in, and each table had plexiglass between them and every staff member there was wearing their face mask. We were told we had to keep our face mask on whenever one of their staff members approached us. They would not even come near our table until we had our face mask on. The tables were spaced apart appropriately. The staff was very professional, the food was exceptionally delicious, and the ambience was warm and festive. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially during this time because they are going above and beyond following the CDC guidelines. Kudos to RISTORANTE BARTOLOTTA!!

Good service, good food.
It’s small on the inside so if you don’t like to be close to other people it wouldn’t be comfortable.

Always top notch, you know what you're getting at the original Bartolotta. Creative appetizers, solid and always high-quality entrees (if a little staid) and a good dessert list. Wine selection is also top-drawer. Staff are attentive and helpful but can border on the slightly sycophantic. All in all, a very dependable higher-end restaurant that you will rarely walk out of feeling hard-done-by.

Could not be happier with our experience here last week! We were out to celebrate my wife's birthday, and the staff was so wonderful to us both. The food and service was amazing, and worth far more than the 5 stars I can give here today. We were big fans of the chefs "tour of Palermo" menu, each enjoying a full 4 course meal from the region. Will be back again!
