The Garlic

Wow! What a cool place, basically it's the whole street. Looks like a giant garden. Lots of different places to sit and eat, great service and food was very good! Obviously lots of garlic themed food! I recommend you give it a try just due to its uniqueness! Mostly Italian, steak and chops!

We were in town visiting when our family said they had to take us to this restaurant. We drove an hour to get here and it was totally worth it! The atmosphere alone was worth it. The restaurant is built in and around trees and is absolutely beautiful! Even though they don’t take reservations, the restaurant is so big we did not wait long. We were first served complimentary bread and garlic. I could have just eaten that. The entrees were delicious as well as the desserts. We tried several! And although the restaurant was packed, you would not know it. The service was attentive and great. We also ordered two big chickens of wine for the group and totally worth it! I highly recommend checking out this unique place!

A good bit of a wait, even on a Sunday night.
We were told 40 minutes, and it was exactly 40 minutes, and we were sat promptly. The atmosphere is fantastic, live music, and have multiple locations outside and inside to sit. Parking is an adventure, but if you don't mind walking down a block, it's not hard to find a spot.
Dejan was our server, professional, knowledgeable, and highly efficient in his job. The food was unreal. We did not wait long for the appetizer, salads, and then our meal. The NY strip had to be the best I've ever had. Highly recommend!

The Garlic in New Smyrna Beach has become our annual birthday celebration spot! This year, we arrived on a Friday evening around 6 pm and pleasantly waited for only 20 minutes before being seated. What added to the joy of our visit was having Alan as our server for the second consecutive year!

Alan went above and beyond to make my birthday experience truly memorable. He coordinated with the guitarist to serenade me during our tiramisu dessert, making the celebration extra special.

As for the food, our selections were a delightful mix. We savored the flavors of a Caesar salad, chicken Alfredo, a house salad, and the unique almond-encrusted rainbow trout, finished with a delectable orange butter. The day's special, presented on an uncooked lasagna noodle, was an ingenious touch that added to the dining experience.

The ambiance at The Garlic is simply magical – it's a celebration full of lights, music, laughter, and, of course, exceptional food! The lively atmosphere contributed to the festive mood, making the evening even more enjoyable.

The Garlic consistently impresses with its inventive presentations and delicious cuisine. Coupled with exceptional service, like Alan's attentive care, it's a place that makes special occasions truly exceptional. Can't wait to return next year!

We were told to come here by an amazing bartender named Lot from another local bar! Best food and Service we have had by far, you don’t get the service that Kimberly gave us often! Being in the restaurant industry as long as I have you become a critic on everything unfortunately, with that being said, Kim was seriously amazing in every way, this was our first time here and we were just blown away! The Caesar salads were unbelievable, the homemade dressing and croutons really made it! Every entree came out perfect and we were talked into carrot cake which was the best we have ever had!

Wow! What a place! We sat at the bar. Very relaxing and listened to Thomas Watkins on the guitar for a couple hours. Totally cool vibe and the food was awesome. Don't miss this place.

Lindy was an excellent waitress and we can't say enough good things about the food! The drinks were great and the food was even better. I got the chicken parm and my husband got the seafood medley. Both were amazing! The roasted garlic and bread paired great with the wine. Lindy was prompt and friendly and made sure out every need was met without delay. 5/5 can't wait to come back here again

The Garlic in New Smyrna offers a unique dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant, one gets the feeling that you've entered into a bizarre new world. You'll be lead down windy paths, lush with foliage, to your dining table.

Once seated, our waitress was at the ready to take our drink order and spell out the night's specials, literally. (the specials are written on an uncooked lasagna noodle) Our cocktails were delivered promptly, and at the same time, we were treated with fresh baked bread and a baked garlic cluster, infused with oil and doused with aged balsamic vinegar. After ordering our meal, the soup and salad didn't take but a moment to land on our table. Shortly there after, our main course was delivered. It was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Osso Bucco, and I had their pepper bacon wrapped Tenderloin. Both meals were perfectly prepared and plated. Kudos to the Chef and his staff. We highly recommend these dishes.

This establishment has captured the essence of a timely dining experience. From the moment you are seated, till you settle your bill, the staff keeps your dining experience moving along. We never felt rushed, but within moments of other people around us leaving their tables after eating, the staff cleared and cleaned the area, and within five minutes, someone else was being seated. We patronized this place on a Wednesday evening around 5:00pm and were seated upon arrival, but by the time we left, people were seated outside waiting for a table.

All in all, we had a great experience and plan to return again. A Big Thank You to the management of this establishment and their staff.

What a great addition to New Smyrna Beach, we first got there it looks like a 10hr wait, but once the door opens for service, it was short and sweet , well worth the 5/10 mins of waiting. Jill was out waitress tonight and she was very helpful with the menu, 1/2 chicken decanter wine, lasagna ( my advice if anyone is willing to split 24oz oz of goodness with you, do it 7 layers and delicious, my husband had Ousso bucco pork yummy and portion is very nice.. Payed our bill as usual he left the Ccard, Jill was kind enough to find us in the parking lot to return it, I say 10/10 definitely will be back

Our waitress was attentive but not pushy. I wanted the shrimp/ scallops in the Alfredo, not in the wine/ butter sauce. She made that happen. She was knowledgeable of the food, places to visit, and such. The garden was gorgeous! It was so cool hearing the sax playing on one side of the gardens and then singing on the other side. The prices are reasonable for their portions. We definitely would come back!

This place is amazing.The food and drinks are delicious. Awesome customer service . Since is a very popular restaurant the wait is usually 1hr but is worth the wait. They have live music and the over all look of the restaurant is magical. If you in the area I will definitely recommend you visit the garlic.

First time in…simply spectacular! It’s very rare to go into an establishment for the first time and know right away that we will be regulars. WELL DONE!

One of the best Cioppino and Chicken Marsala dishes ever! Service was over the top, and with a live saxophone player playing fan favorites, with top notch drinks, all made for a relaxing evening. If you love Italian food, don't miss this place!

I could have left after the appetizers and still rated this place five stars. The entrees carried it even higher. Wonderful ambiance, amazing service (Lucky was probably the best waiter I've had literally anywhere) and stellar food. Don't miss the spinach artichoke dip and the pasta pomodoro.

Food here is delicious! When you walk in, you smell and almost taste garlic in the air. Then they serve fresh bread alongside roasted garlic drizzled with olive oil and a balsamic vinegar. I ordered the Cioppino and some Roasted Bone Marrow for the first time. Everything was a new tasting experience! If you're visiting the area, plan ahead and arive before they open! You won't regret it!

Excellent service, great food, and an atmosphere you can't miss. It's quite possible you'd get lost in here... With an expansive set of different dining areas, two bars, and outdoor areas, the restaurant is something to behold. You'd also be forgiven if you'd expect such a place to not serve excellent food. Well, garlic hits on all fronts. The cioppino was amazing, lasagna decadent, and various appetizers we had were also great. Service was prompt and friendly. Live music was playing inside but overall the place wasn't loud. It was also decorated to the nines for the holidays. Quite the spectacle. Stop in, have some wine, and enjoy great compa y.

Absolutely some of the best food, drinks and service I have ever had. Words cannot describe how lovely this place is. NO reservations are allowed so you may be waiting. Well worth it.

This restaurant actually surprised me very well. It has a remarkable atmosphere your inside but also kind of feel like you're outside as well. The food portions are very large. Most of their dishes are definitely shareable, I recommend sharing. Some items are so big you're taking home a whole another meal. Very friendly staff as well. Don't let the sangria sneak up on you. LOL

This is hands down the best place to eat in New Symrna. Unique and fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, caring service. Lucky was our server and he was amazing!!

Edit: in case the restaurant sees this. On our second visit we got Nick, who spent fifteen minutes chatting about personal life with the table next to us and ignored our table and one other that had not yet received our appetizers. When we finally got his attention and asked him to check on the food, he disappeared and came back moments later with it, saying to be careful it was hot, but the kitchen was running late. This was not true- the food was just warm, like it had been left in the window and forgotten. Same with the dinner- meal was barely warm. It still tasted good and Nick was very attentive for the remainder of the evening, but his catch-up with family?friends? Did mean that my table and at least one other had lukewarm food and a much less enjoyable evening.

That being said, he took the appetizer off the bill and apologized profusely, so I think he understood the mistake. Still a five star rating, will return.
