Comfort Suites Newport News Airport

Every time my family and I visit Virginia, there is no option for lodging other than comfort suites in Newport News. The location is perfectly centered in the middle of everything. This hotel is extremely well kept, always clean and the staff is amazing! Of note, Ms. Amy is someone special that always makes our stays feel like home away from home. Ms. Amy's personality, character and professionalism is exceptional and something we as a family always look forward to. You can really get a sense of pride in the staff from the way this hotel presents. Well done and thank you!

Had a wonderful stay here. Rooms were nice, location was ideal to everything and upon my entering the hotel I was greeted with a smiling face from Ms. Amy. She was very polite, attentive to my needs and made sure I had everything before heading to my room. When I asked about best restaurants in the area, she was able to tell me exactly where to go and how to get there. And she was right. She is a true jewel to this hotel and I appreciate her willingness to help me.

Affordable, clean and great staff. This isn't a fancy place, but they did everything right for what you need. Would work for business, quick stays, or vacation if fancy rooms/spot is not important. Walkable to restaurants. Kind staff who kept people from creating a giant cloud of cigarette smoke at entry like so many places have today!

My bf and I absolutely love staying here!! We frequent this hotel every weekend. The location is convenient because there's restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are super clean. All the amenities you'd expect. But most importantly, MS. AMY at the front desk makes you feel welcomed every time she sees a familiar face. It's like she welcomes you back home and her hospitality is top notch. She deserves to work in a higher class hotel because you just don't get that same level of warmth and welcome at higher end hotel chains.

My family traveled down for a graduation and their trip in was horrible, BUT my mom and Aunt spirit shined after Miss Amy checked them in.
Miss Amy is a people person. You can tell she loves her job and the guest. Now some of the guest tries to get over and very rude BUT Miss Amy stay professional.
When we asked Miss Amy where was a good place to eat. She told us Pier 88. If you love seafood and in the area go there.
When we came back from dinner Miss Amy welcomed us back and we stayed down and talk to her a bit while she was stocking the store.
Miss Amy was very informative about the area and had great idea where to go celebrate after graduation
I could go on and on. Miss Amy thank you for being the sunshine in my family trip.

This has been one of the best experiences, if not the best at a hotel. The amenities were very nice, new and clean. Also, the location was in a great area with so much to do! But the overall, highlight for me was Ms. Amy; she made my experience so much better. Her genuine friendliness, kindness and hospitality really put a smile on my face. She is someone that I could rely on and trust to enhance my time at this awesome place. Ms. Amy has been a light in not only my time here, but overall she will have a special place in my heart for her authentic, pleasant, and sweet personality. Ms. Amy is the beam of light that has overall brightened my time traveling.

I have to leave a 5 star review because I was so impressed with the most superb hotel hostess, Amy. She was the most kind, hospitable, professional, helpful, hotel clerk I have ever seen and I travel often. She is very caring and a special lady. I hope that management gives her a raise. The hotel is clean, room met my expectations. Breakfast was fine. I would return and recommend.

I rarely do reviews but I was very impressed with Comfort Suites after my first visit. Amy Cook, the receptionist at the front desk is amazing. I really enjoyed her customer service. From the way she handled my check-in to how she greeted each guest that walked in "Welcome Back," I can tell that she truly cares for what she does. She's probably the most kindest and genuine front desk associate I have encountered in a long time. Will definitely stay at a Comfort Suites in the future.

Super nice and outgoing staff- couldn’t be nicer! Great little hotel that is clean and modern and well priced. One of best discount hotels I have visited. Highly recommend.

Awesome hotel to stay in. Easy access to Interstate and convenient parking and restaurants nearby.
The GREATEST part about staying here is the front desk attendant Amy. I’ve been staying at your hotel for a number of years now and this Lady is the reason. From day one, she greeted my crew and I like we were old friends. I have heard stories from other guests of how wonderful she is and how uplifting she is. When I think of Christian,Loyal, and Friendly people other than my Loving Wife, Amy is first on my list. You have an excellent employee and I can definitely say she makes every stay feel like Home.

Thank you Mrs. Amy for who you are and what you do everyday. Keep smiling and speaking the Godly Way that you do. He has a special place for you.

Loved this location, it was the best location in the middle and across the street from all the malls, eateries, and fun things. It was my very first visit to Newport News, VA coming to visit family. I can definitely say the pictures tell the whole story because it is exactly what is looks like on the inside and in the rooms. As soon as you walk in the door you were greeted with a lovely face and I must say Ms. Amy was so helpful, lively, bright and she will be the definite reason why come back to this exact hotel every time. She explained everything to me, there was never a dull moment in a simple conversation. The rooms are really comfy and the bathroom is simple but nice on the inside. The breakfast was so delicious: traditional and something different every Moring! I would definitely recommend as I will be back. Thank you Ms. Amy for your generosity and kind spirit!

It's hard to find a nice (safe) hotel in Newport News without spending a small fortune but this works! The front desk lady is so friendly and definitely knows what customer service is all about! Very impressed with her ability to handle a crowd of folks checking in! I haven't seen that level of service in years. Kudos. Rooms were clean as a whistle. Beds super comfortable. Breakfast well done. Will return!

Excellent stay. Staff checking in & out were wonderful. Sharon that takes care of breakfast-SO nice, friendly, & helpful. Food was good too! The rooms were cleaned VERY well. All staff friendly & smiling. Great customer service. Zero complaints & highly recommend. Oh & not having to beg for towels & washcloths/hand towels was a definite plus-room was well stocked. Thank you! And the price was awesome too!

Amy is outstanding! She is the reason why we stayed here the first time. Now we always stay here because of Amy and the other staff. She make us feel like we are home. I love this Airport Comfort Suites! The mattress was awesome. The place is clean. I love the room set up. The room cleaners are very helpful. The front desk needs better customer service training. The front desk personel could be more welcoming and friendly. Like maybe smile and say Hello! Welcome! They just stayed seated the whole time. You could barely see their heads above the front desk. But this Comfort Suites is better than the other one across the highway. That one is awful in everyway.

This was our second stay this year and Amy remembered us when we checked in. The beds were so comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent and well attended to....above and beyond. The entire hospitality staff was pleasant and welcoming. We intend to come back to this Comfort Suite location each time we visit our family. Amy is AMAZING!

We visited the Comfort Suites Newport News Airport when my mom passed away. The staff was friendly and professional, the rooms were clean and in good repair, their breakfast was fresh and delicious and the housekeeping staff was friendly and took care of us. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely Superb. What can I say about Amy? She is the most welcoming person . Everything about her was warm and friendly. Oh, the hotel is extremely clean. It even smells clean as you enter to walk in the hotel. This was my first time at this Hotel. The beds are so so comfortable . I literally had best night sleep never. Breakfast area was well stocked and kept cleaned. To have real bacon and eggs on breakfast buffet bar was a plus for me. I really enjoyed our experience. Also like the fact that two major restaurant's are a two minutes walk from hotel. Definitely returning, no questions asked. Amy put the icing on the cake for us. This made our stay extra welcoming! Sorry Residence Inn...they won me over❤💯

I have stayed at quite a few Comfort Inns and Suites...this one was superb. First, the bed was so comfortable - just the right mix of soft and firm. The pillows..chef's kiss! The location was perfect for what I was in town for...now if they could only get the city to figure out how to alleviate the traffic on Jefferson Ave...ha ha. Location is set back from the road so no noise issues.
