Val's Restaurant

We had our mother's 90th surprise birthday party in Val's banquet room with 38 guests. The Grand buffet was phenomenal. The menu included salmon with dill sauce, chicken piccata and the beef kabobs with vegetables. Her wait staff was courteous and professional. Everyone agreed that they had never had such fresh hot delicious food at a buffet !! THANK YOU Val !!!!!!

We had our daughter’s baptism reception at Val’s. The service and food were 10 out of 10. Val was there at every moment to make sure the event was a success. The reception hall looked great!

We love going to Val's with friends and family. They never disappoint. Food is delicious and comes to the table quickly. Wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely a high class version of home style cooking. 😋 Have loved everything I have ever ordered.

First time going yesterday, and what one heck of a restaurant best pasta i have ever eaten got Alfredo with angel hair and picatta Alfredo with angel hair with capers. And got the brushetta that melted when you ate it. Beautiful from the decor to all the family pics and the actual building plans are on the wall to look at. Then, out back, there's a dance area with a 180-person function area that was absolutely stunning. I've eaten at a lot of places, but this is one of my favorite things, absolutely beautiful and stunning of a restaurant. Val deserves all the awards she has won. This is a must if you're in the area. We were seated right away which was surprising because they were extremely busy. Our server Samantha friendly, professional and polite. As busy as they were we were not rushed and we were able to take our time. Lunch was great and the molten lava cake was delicious ☺

The good is excellent! I love their fish and chips. The service is great as well! This location is visited by many older folks but is also good for children and families. I really enjoy going there with my family.

Just moved to the area and gave Val's a try today for the first time. I've heard amazing things and they were all true. The bar/lounge area is beautifully decorated for Christmas and the fireplace is nice and cozy. The service was spot on. The chilli is made with pulled pork and was delish!! If a restaurant has a lamb dish I always give it a try. Had the lamb pita, it was perfect. The peppermint martini and apple cider sangria were both very tasty as well.

Returned to Val's for dinner tonight . Husband had the chicken parm and I had the braised lamb shank (special). Both servings were more than enough food and were both spot on. Plus their house salad dressing is AMAZING!!

I hosted a bridal shower here and it was perfect! Val was great throughout the planning process. Our day of coordinator, Abby was also sweet and very attentive to the guests. The food was fantastic and served hot. They also were very accommodating to a guest's dietary restrictions and food allergies. The room and setup was great. The only downside was that I was not told there would be another event occuring at the same time. The room was split in half for two smaller parties. There was a divider between us, but it was a bit loud and hard to hear speeches. Other than that, it couldn't have gone better!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! We had the most wonderful baby shower for my daughter at Val's! Everything was perfect from start to finish! From the first phone call to the final bill I have nothing but praise. When I began planning we were still in the midst of COVID restrictions and weren't really sure what we could do but Val assured me that no matter what she would do everything she could to make it beautiful. And she did!! Thankfully the restrictions loosened as we got closer to our event date and we were able to have a beautiful buffet with more than just a few people per table. The menu selections have something for everyone and the food was fantastic! All of our guests just raved about the food, the room, everything!! The staff was awesome, they were all attentive and very helpful. Val takes great care of her guests and I couldn't have ever imagined a better day. Thank you - thank you - thank you to Val and all of her staff that worked so hard to ensure that my daughter's baby shower was such a success. I will recommend you every time!

Val’s has always been a meaningful place for our family. They hosted us for my mother’s surprise 60th birthday dinner, and Val & her team out did themselves! The event space was beautifully set up and the food was spectacular. Servers were extremely attentive and kind to our party. Would highly recommend Val’s for anything from a casual dinner to a formal event!

Just moved to the area from Boston where we had tons of great restaurants. Several people told us to try Val’s and they were right! We really enjoyed our meals and the staff was great. This will be our go to local spot for sure.

I had a birthday celebration at Val's. It was wonderful! Val was fantastic to work with, had great suggestions, and everything went so smoothly. Her staff was amazing, so helpful and personable. The function room looked beautiful, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!

LOVE this place!! My family and I have been coming here for YEARS - ever since I was probably 15 years old. To birthday dinners, work Holiday parties, celebratory events, Val's has always been a staple dinner restaurant in my family for such a long time. We love the food and environment, it's always such a good time here. Highly recommend the baked Haddock or Lamb Kebabs!!

My go to in Holden. Good food, drinks and atmosphere. I've had my rehearsal dinner here and come here all the time. Everyone is friendly and it's always nice seeing Val walk around talking to the guests. It makes you feel like you're part of the family.

Didn't go to the restaurant. Went next door to attend a wedding. The venue for any activity is a great, spacious room.

My parents recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, and we chose Val's to host a small dinner party in their honor. Val went above and beyond to make sure my family was comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. From the private dining area Val arranged, to the lovely table setting, to the delicious food and the outstanding service (shout out to Abby!), everything was absolutely wonderful! What a memorable night - we couldn't have asked for a more perfect celebration! Thanks so much to Val and her amazing staff for everything!

I had a business lunch meeting with a large group of people this past week at Val’s. The food was incredible especially the chicken piccata! Val and her team were so nice.
