Great hiking trails (easy to moderate), a lovely little playground with a storybook trail behind it, and tons of opportunities to see wildlife (both from the trails and on the water via kayak, canoe, etc).

We visited here when we first moved 2 years ago and completely forgot about it. Recently, we have made it our favorite spot to have lunch with the kids and learn about nature.

This is an a great park/ nature trail area. There is plenty of parking with handicap parking. The trail is a multi use (Hiking, horse, bike) and very nice track through the woods with multiple loops. The playground was really great and a big hit with our kids. It is handicap/ small kid accessible with a ramp that goes from the bottom to the top. There is also benches, picnic tables, and a pavilion with restrooms.

Nice hike around the lake. Starts out very easy but there are a few short steep sections. Saw lots of wildlife including a turtle laying eggs!

This is a gorgeous park. Come take a walk on the trail, rent a boat, find some geocasches, or play on the playground and donate a book at the Little Free Library. It is gorgeous all year round and well cared for. Make sure you take good care of our natural beauty while you are at it. :-) Beautiful place for all people!

Had fun here walking the trails.. enjoyed the picnic tables. Had great time with the family looking at the water. Unfortunately it was a windy day so we didn't rent boats like we would of liked too. Maybe next time!

Fantastic place for hiking, boating, fishing, ride your horse, have a picnic by the water. Don't forget your pup or pups because they will love it. Ours did.

This park is always clean and well kept. Playground could use a power wash and repainting, but it plays all the same! Even in the earliest days of March the trails were well cleared and not overgrown. Great family park!

There are many places to kayaks fish in Virginia and Beaverdam Park is definitely one I love. The staff do a great job maintaining this place. I do wish they had longer hours though, but sadly most city owned places all close at sundown. Hopefully one day we will have a park that has night hours.

Awesome place!!

Fantastic hiking spot with easy trails and harder ones, with great lake views along the way. The dog had just as much fun as the family, too.

Been enjoying Beaverdam since I was a toddler. My husband and I actually got married there in 2019! I know the trails by heart at this point, and the ducks are extremely friendly lol Whether you're a tourist or a local, this park is a wonderful place to spend the day!

This park is the prettiest place in Gloucester. There are a lot of different spaces and activities, from being able to go kayaking on the lake to hiking in the woods. There are grills up by a picnic pavilion, there is a playground, and there are public restrooms. It's a nice, scenic area to visit.

Very nice quick trip and unexpected surprise to have the grinch story for children on the trails.
