Lakemont Elementary School

This is the best school ever. My 9 year old son briefly went to school at Walnut Hill Elementary school and he hated it. The teachers were rude and cocky. We moved down to south Petersburg a were zoned for Robert E Lee. We gave that school a try. On his first day he loved it! The teachers actually care about the students here. They're not cocky and rude like the teachers at Walnut Hill. All in all, I would recommend this school to anyone!

That school is lame

Robert E Lee is the worst school ever. The staff changes two to three times a year, the administration team is horrible and never the same. My kids had three different principals this year alone. The teachers bully the kids and lie on them. They don't try to help the students that are academically excelling instead they get suspended. My son has had three different TDT programs the three years he has been going. The teachers are very uneducated on how to deal with children that have autism spectrum and just kick them out because they can't get their way with them. I really think the teachers there were at the bottom of their classes because they lack education and respect themselves. Please don't send your kids to this school hopefully it gets shut down soon all those babies deserve a better education and teacher's and staff that take pride and enjoy their jobs. Not just someone who shows up to work to get a pay check

Unfortunately, my son has been attending this school for a few years and it has been the worst experience I have ever had. This school is a WAR ZONE! There are actual physical full blown fights between children so severe that it has sent teachers to the hospital. The principle's office is often so full that kids disrupting class cannot be taken out or even dealt with. Teachers tell students that they carry a gun in their car on school grounds. The neighborhood is rife with crime and filthy just like the school is. There are broken panes of windows and doors boarded up, missing tiles, decrepit blackboards, peeling paint, no soap or toilet paper in bathrooms. Broken ceiling and floor tiles, dingy classrooms and filthy blinds. There's no pride taken in this school and no money to support the teachers. They have 3 text books for a class of 16 students! The teacher's education levels are the bottom of the barrel and this school has not been accreditied in over 10 years! HOW IS THIS A POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT??

The students and staff get headaches from the trash fumes of the landfill 4 blocks away. A 2nd grader was actually SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by another student, it was on the newst!!!

And the school distrcit simply does not give a SHIT!

If you love your children, DO NOT LET THEM GO TO THIS SCHOOL!! If they are at this school, get them OUT as soon as you can.
