The crab cake super platter is "disturbingly good"!
The meal started with a side order of hushpuppies and melted butter. One can tell immediately they were hand made on the spot and fried to perfection.
Next came the platter...
The very large shrimp were fried to a perfect light brown in color. Butter and sauce are available.
The crab cake is something to write home about. Seriously, there are zero-point-zero fillers or binders. 100% lump crab. Buttery smooth and delicately spiced. The sides of mac & cheese and the potato salad were a nice accompaniment but stand in the shadow of the crab cake.
The price may seem high, but this is no joke and worth every penny.
The open kitchen and casual atmosphere are at odds with a meal that should be served on fine China.

The crab cakes are worth the hype - lots of meat and a good size. Fast and friendly device, too. The catfish poboy was also delicious.

Damn fine food. Had the crab cake platter. No filler in this crab cake. It is excellent. The hush puppies are really good also and the soul slaw while just a it sweet for me is very good also. He offered me a taste of the smoked Mac and cheese and it is amazing. I would definately recommend this place. It is a bit pricy but you are getting premium product so well worth it.

Went here twice now and it doesn’t disappoint. The crab cakes are better than anything in the city, no filler, and much cheaper. Hush puppies are nice and sweet too! Definitely come here if you like crab cakes.

If you're looking for real crabcakes, like in no fillers added, look no further. This place has the best fresh seafood around. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dining area was clean and well laid out. The atmosphere was inviting, and the music was on point. Highly recommend this place if you're a seafood lover.

Cannot say enough about this place. Every single time I've stopped by, I encounter people that have traveled miles to try it cause they've heard amazing things! They have recently moved to a larger space in the main street of old town Front Royal and added even more amazing things to their menu. Their most popular item is the crab cake, which has absolutely no fillers at all, and is made with Miami crab, which is just slightly sweeter and more flavorful in my opinion. My personal favorite is the catfish po boy, and that's coming from someone that never liked catfish. Ever! The crust is absolutely amazing and the combination of toppings and flavors leave you wanting more, but out of gluttony, since the portion of quite large and the price very affordable. Their hush puppies are also some of the best I've had anywhere on the east coast. They're slightly sweet and salty, with pieces of corn inside. I highly recommend you give them a try once in your life. It's definitely a must do foodie stop and perfect before heading to beautiful skyline drive or camping.

Their crab cake sandwich was the best one that I have ever had! I was kind of doubtful with the restaurant atmosphere, crowds, high price, etc. However, when I had the first bite, I was so happily surprised. Yes, I was there for good reviews, but I was not sure before the first bite. Even hush puppies and Mac and cheese were soooo good! Just go! :)

Wow, simply wow! Hands down worth coming here from wherever in VA you live just to try this amazing food! Best crabcakes, shrimp, hush puppies, fries, fish. Great customer service and friendly atmosphere. This place is a diamond in the rough since it's not easily seen inside Liberty Gas station! You won't regret eating here!

Hungry after a nice day at the Caverns and Skyline Drive, walked in expecting an extravagant restaurant, old/historic town of Luray, looked a bit like a fast food/Diner crossover, very friendly quiet and clean.
Here’s the bigger surprise, a nice portion and WOW Delicious Shrimp and potato salad.

For Father's day my husband wanted to try this place and it did not disappoint.
It is a little place right next to the movie theater in downtown Front Royal. You might miss it when you drive by because there is no big sign outside.
It was easy to place our to go order. We had the crab cake super platter and I originally wanted the tilapia sandwich but they were out of tilapia so I got the 9 piece fried shrimp. For sides we had potato salad, Mac & cheese, hush puppies and collard greens.
The food came out fairly quickly even though they started to get busier.
The food tasted very good. We will definitely return.
There is inside seating available, I'd 7 tables or so.
We ate our food in the town square.
I would recommend this place to all the seafood lovers out there. Nice staff as well.

If you like crab, you must go. Huge chunks of crab, piled high, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Aptly named. All other crab cakes will be a disappointment after this, I wish I lived nearby! Super quick service, order at the counter then you can dine in or take out.

Great place for seafood! We had fried shrimp po-boy as well as the oyster po-boy, superb. Friendly staff, service was great. Definitely want to stop in if you’re in the area, won’t regret.

To be honest, I have not yet been in the restaurant but when they set up food truck style at Winchester Brew Works, my wife and I had their crab cake sandwich and shrimp, it was absolutely perfect! I was born and grew up in Maryland and have haunted the Delmarva most of my life and I can honestly say that I have never had a better crab cake. It was all backfin and tender but firm and spiced just right. Highly recommended!

Easily the best crab cake and fried shrimp I've ever had. The potato salad, boardwalk fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies are all fantastic. Definitely give this place a try. You'll make it a regular stop.

Friendly staff gives enough crab meat in one cake to feed two adults. We were served in our cars and I have to say it is definitely the best crab cake I have ever had! Worth the trip especially when other eateries are closed.

I had the crab cake and potato salad and it was great! Crab cake tasted very very good. The crab cake is moist and has a good flavor. I will be going back.

I love this place the Colossal Jumbo Shrimp burst with flavor in your mouth and tonight I got the fried catfish platter and it was so delicious. I would recommend this gem to anyone to try.

We've been wanting to try this for a long time and it did not disappoint! Everyone working there was great. They got slammed all day but still had smiles on their faces. I would go back for the people alone!

I watched the lady batter the fish. Nice light breading. The hush puppies were the best ever and the Mac and cheese and coleslaw was great.

What a gem of a place! Was visiting front royal with my dad to check somewhere else out for dinner and our car broke down right in front of here and while waited for a tow truck we thought we would sit down in the chairs they had out front. A few minutes later they brought us out a basket of hush puppies while we waiting. They were AMAZING and we really appreciated the kindness. Ended up ordering a crab cake sandwich and it’s absolutely the best I’ve ever had!! The workers were all incredibly kind and made what could have been a real bummer of a Saturday night right around. Will definitely be back next time we’re out in front royal.
