Farr Park Levee Trailhead

BREC has made some fantastic improvements to this trailhead, but you have to know where to look.

Getting off the levee trail and crossing River Road, there's a (narrow) paved trail leading into Farr Park. This trail splits just past the park entrance, with one branch going straight along the side of the road into the park and the other branch veering right into the field. Going straight leads to BREC Riverbend Park. This is a great way to get into the Riverbend subdivision while avoiding the reckless drivers on Brightside.

BUT, veering right just after entering Farr Park, a NEW path that cuts diagonally across the property leads to a fantastic, hidden trailhead. There's parking, covered pavilions with seating, water fountains, and even a bike pump with repair tools. IMO, this makes Farr Park probably the best trailhead on the levee bike path in terms of amenities and convenience.
