Kobé Japanese Steakhouse - St. Petersburg

Holy smokes, this place is amazing. The food was hot and fresh, and the whole time you're watching the chef cook, you're salivating from all the delicious smells. The service is on point, and the soup/salad that is included with the meal was excellent. Whatever Japanese beer this was is my new favorite!

Our server Kayley(I think) and chef "T" made the birthday celebration a great memory for me. I highly recommend this place, especially for birthdays.

Food is a bit pricey, but you get A LOT, plus soup and salad. Most likely, you will have a whole second meal's worth in leftovers, so it's totally worth it, in my opinion.

We went for New Year’s Eve - party of 5. It was our first time there and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the overall atmosphere and had wonderful service from the moment we arrived. Cece was attentive and patient as our waitress and our Chef (Van?) was also very entertaining, efficient and generous! Our volcano and Mexican rolls were yummy, the egg rolls and tempura veggie apps were really great, and the hibachi steak, chicken and shrimp were all amazing. We will be back again!

Saigo was our Chef and he was super entertaining and my Boys absolutely loved him (My 16 year old is wanting to now be a Hibachi chef like him now) 😁The food was absolutely amazing as well and lasted us for 2 meals haha. It may be expensive to some but the amount of food you get and the delicious-ness is worth every penny!!!

Great food, great service. What more needs to be said? Plus if you have never had Japanese chicken wings you are really missing out on something special. The food is amazing and served in large portions. My family of five were able to order a lot of different things and share it all, we
left stuffed and wished we had brought a couple of things home with us for when we got hungry later, especially those wings. I can't wait to return. Our waitress was great also, and very helpful. Would give ten stars if I could. If you are craving Japanese food and great service this place is a must. Great work Kobe. Will be seeing you soon.

Elvis was a rock star of a chef. Food was phenomenal. We had a great time. So many flavors and the poke bowl was fire. All the other items ordered was bussin. The hot saki is delicious and the birthday drum 🥁 is lots of fun.

Kobe is always a treat. We can usually get a chef who cooks our meat and seafood perfectly. We get the Sumo Sampler. We have dietary restrictions that this time was not honored. We asked the chef to please cook with oil, not butter, as we have dairy and gluten allergy in our family. This time the chef, tho he put oil down on our side of the grill to cook our food, put teaspoons of butter on all our food. Even on our daughter's gluten free chicken fried rice...we clearly told him she was gluten and dairy free due to an allergy...many times. The chef we got last time cooked all our food in oil. No butter at all my time. We were so hopeful.

Side note: Kevin our server is perfect every time. This is our second time getting him and he is on point, kind, and listened to our requests acceptingly. He is a top notch professional. We will request him if possible.

This place is awesome! Atmosphere is nice. Lighting is perfect. Food is great. They give huge portions of food. I had to get a to go box. Food is very tasty. That chicken and steak was perfect. 100% recommend!!

Had an amazing dinner! The chef was very entertaining and funny. The shrimp and filet were sooo good and tender. Had enough left over for two more meals. Definitely recommend. A little on the expensive side but worth it, especially for a special occasion.

Service was very great. We had a reservation and we were seated in less than 5 minutes. Chef at our table was fun and engaging. The food was phenomenal, however like most hibachi restaurants it is expensive. For two people after a tip it was $161. We got the Kobe trio and opted for the Filet Minion instead of the sirloin which was an extra $8 each and got an appetizer as well. Seems like a lot to me, more than I remember paying but it’s been years since I’ve been to this type of restaurant and I know prices have increased everywhere. Regardless it was my best friends birthday and totally worth it. We had a great time and everything was delicious. They did a special birthday song at the end for those celebrating at our table and gave each of them cupcakes which was nice touch. I would go back! Plenty of left overs to take home.

This was my first time at Kobe..it will NOT be my last! Our server, Winter was awesome….personable and efficient. Chef Sonny was amazing! Not only was the food excellent, he was so much fun! We had a couple of “high mtc” people sitting at our table, but all of the Kobe employees handles them with patience and kindness. They also made sure to impress the well-mannered 8 yr old boy at our table. A great time was had by all and I took home enough leftovers for the next day! Thank you Kobe!!

Always have the best time at Kobe Steakhouse! The food is always amazing and the customer service is on point. I take everyone who comes to visit me here as a must. Had Chuck/Ryan as our hibachi chef and he was absolutely superb! The food came out amazing and timely. Will definitely be back!

This is my 2nd time and the food is excellent. The chef name is Chuck!! He did a phenomenal job!! It’s my nephew 13th birthday. I would recommend this place n definitely recommend him too. He’s hilarious n funny.

Fun Hibachi experience for dinner, very generous portions of rice, noodles, vegetables, broth/soup, and meat of your choice. Can definitely recommend!

Outstanding authentic Japanese Steakhouse. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Not too loud which allows for good conversation. The food is top notch cooked while you watch. The service was outstanding the entire meal. I highly recommend the steak and chicken.

Tips: 1. Ask for extra dressing on your salad.
2. Substitute noodles for rice 3. Ask for water plus whatever else you are drinking for the meal.

Very fun evening! Our food and service was excellent. The meat was so tender it could be cut with a fork. A little expensive, but worth it!

We were there Saturday night and of course we requested Chuck, even though there was a little wait, Chuck did not disappoint! Our food was delicious, jokes were amazing, and everything he does is just great. Looking forward to coming in again real soon. The service was great as well, our server was very attentive and met all of our needs! This visit was one of our best! Can't wait to dig in to my leftovers today!

Absolutely loved it! The food and service were great! We ate, celebrated a birthday, and just chatted for a while after dinner! Highly recommend!

We came here for my birthday and had a great experience overall. Our cook was entertaining and the food was very good with nice portion sizes. There was a small incident where one of the servers accidentally dropped a glass of red wine that splattered all over us but the manager did a good job remedying the situation. We would definitely come back.

The server was so very nice and so funny. Then our chef was great too!! We had a full table and all parties had some sort of celebration so they did lots of tricks and cooked a yummy meal.

Amazing experience! Chef Ryan served us Wagyu steak cooked perfectly. Fun! Our server John was on top of it, chef Chuck has talent, food was delicious. Great date night!
